So Sore!!
I haven't done any kind of exercise this time but yesterday I went for a walk. I walked/jogged for almost an hour. It ended of being over 2 1/2 miles. I hope that I didn't overdo it!! Today I am so sore and plan on going for another walk after work. I am going to do short walks in the week and one long one during the weekend. What does everyone think? Am I doing too much starting off? My mom thinks I need to go a bit slower at first? What do you think?

I would tend to agree with mom on this one. More isn't always better.
When starting an exercise program, remember that it's not just about burning calories. Your bones and joints need to get used to the new work load that is being placed on it. If you do too much too quickly, you will injure yourself. An example of a nice conservative plan is the couch to 5K. Even if you don't run, take a look at how it's organized. It's about building up slowly and letting your body adapt. Be patient. If you work your body correctly, you will be doing amazing things a year from now! |

Thanks ab1ht ! She usually does give me pretty amazing advice most of the time!! Gotta love mom!! Right? I did pretty good and wasn't too sore afterward. I might just try to do the short walks during the week and on the weekend maybe take a break. I don't know!! We will see how everything goes!!

Bored at work and checking back in this forum (it's slow right now).
So how goes the walking plan? Not too windy, I hope. There's another lady here on LCF who lives in OK. She's a runner. |

I always take a HOT bath at night after a tuff workout. That really helps me with the soreness. I have been looking at the C25K. Now just gotta do it - lol
