16h done for June. In 10 months I have only bulked up, so I started to combine different workouts to see if it works better for me. Going for 25h in July.

I did 10 hours in June, hope to do at least 10 in July

After 3 months of callanetics and about 30 hours I'm really happy with results, my legs are leaner and the cellulite is disappearing , my arms are strong, but my middle section is still wide... I've lost maybe only 3 cm in my waist (from 80 to 77 cm)...
My stomach is more flat but I want more

Any advise for this "stubborn" parts (waist+ stomach)?

I did 10 hours in June, I hope to do more this month. I got the muffin top, I didn't know I'll get it again, I was off Callanetics 4 months and came back. I can't wait to lose it.

I had a bad cold in June that lasted for 2 weeks.

Every time I tried to exercise, I would start coughing.

I was only able to complete 4 hours for June.

I am committed to do more for July.

Luckily, I have maintained my previous loss of 25 inches. Hooray!

Hi Gracie, purple rose, enjoy, Marianne, gettinggorgeous, Auntie Em, Bronwyn, and Donna

I did 14 in June, and am starting on Cardio Callanetics for the July challenge,

I think I"ll try for every other day, and then perhaps light weights with it... or another program for weights. I am enjoying returning to the svelte core that callenetics is so good for.
But my focus is on the back fat this month, maybe I'll do those notorious superman exercises at the end of each work-out.

happy pulsing to all,
Bailey

cardio callanetics and toning

one done for July (15 since restart in June)

and during the cardio portion I was surprised to notice just holding my arms out in the ballet poses became difficult-- (and I practice martial arts too)
also now that I have done the toning portion I don't think I will need to add extra back work.

I was shocked at how much of a struggle it was to keep good form during the cardio, and the new positions for toning/callanetics portion I can grow into as well, because I know my counter-pulls, and rotations can improve.

Oh, I lost one notch in my belt... whether from back or tummy. hoorah

Hey, Callanetics Fans.

I stumbled across this blog post while catching up on my blog reading this morning, and you might find this pleasantly inspiring to see some "familiar moves" in this video clip of an interview of Olympic athlete Dara Torres by Tosca Reno, demonstrating how she stays fit.

Here goes... (and keep pulsing)...!

Bailey, if you find that you still want to add some extra targeting for your back, in addition to the cardio callanetics, you may want to try adding pushups to your weekly routine 4-5 x a week. Pushups are great for back, chest, triceps, biceps -- a great powerhouse move that requires no equipment and by simply using body weight.

I'm in but no particular goal. That's usually a good way for me to end up giving up. I'm 5 weeks pregnant and trying to keep my exercise high this pregnancy. I'm shooting for an hour a day of a variety of activities. I'm prediabetic and dealing with some hypertension issues. And have found that exercise helps me immensely.

I've been doing Callanetics a couple of times a week for a few weeks right now and wonder why I have not stuck to this all these years!? Nothing provides such immediate toning for me like Callanetics. I love it. And I feel so good and strong after doing it. And my posture immediately improves. I'll probably be doing some Callanetics moves daily.

FTR I discovered Callanetics in my early teens when I found the book in my parents attic. I tried some of the exercises and could not believe how hard they were. I didn't try again for years. Stupid me! I am determined though to get and stay in shape at this point. I know my life depends on me being fit and healthy.

WOE: Trying to figure out what will work for me...
Start Date: July 3, 2012
Hi Everyone:

I would like to join this challenge, although I’m a total beginner (just started today). It seems that many people aren’t really familiar with this type of workout; but I understand that it’s effective.

Anyway, I just needed to find a place where people are actively doing this and I won’t feel as though I’m the odd one out. In the meantime, what are the rules for posting what you have accomplished? I would appreciate any input.

Good question! I'm only on my second month of posting, and have tended to just post whatever strikes my fancy, and to do a lot of talking and question-asking. Others just seem to use the thread to make a public note of each workout.

So far as I can tell, either style is welcome, unless nobody's had the nerve to tell me I talk too much.

I am shooting for 8 hours again this month. Hour 1 done and am about to start Super Callanetics. I have had a quick look at it and it seems very similar to 10/10 is that correct?

I got it because I felt that I had stopped getting results from 10/10 alone so wanted to alternate it with a different one. Is Super Callanetics good for this or would I be better to try Cardio Callanetics?

Oh goodness, super callanetics is haaaaaaard! haha.

I couldn't do it all, open and close I didn't even attempt! I haven't got a barre so it would be difficult anyway, but I can't even open my legs very far, even with them bent! And some of the stretches with the arms up and back were impossible for me, but I just did the stretches from 10/10. I really enjoyed it though, so I am going to keep alternating the 2 of them

As I stated in my first post, I've just started Callanetics - yesterday. Wow, I didn’t realize I was so out of shape! I couldn’t believe I was only able to do 5 minutes, which consisted of the (beginning) stretching part, of the 10/10 program. To be able to do Super Callanetics seems like an impossible dream, at this point.

I started doing 10/10 at the beginning of the year, I found it incredibly hard at first, but you do suddenly find it easier. So 6 months of doing that 2-3 times a week, and today was the first attempt at Super. Don't be disheartened, just do what you can and take it little by little. You will get there and surprise yourself

I think 10/10 is a good one to start with, then after that Callanetics Evolution. I alternate between the 2, add some cardio and you'll get a great result.
