Anybody try the Tracy Anderson Metamorphasis?

Some one just gave me this DVD...wow.. Lots of bouncing! Wondering if anyone has any results, tips etc to share!

I have her Mat workout and it's very tough! I've yet to complete all the moves. I've heard great things about the Metamorphasis workouts, too. I think there might have been some discussions about it on the Exercise board?

I love her toning workouts but I dont do her cardio, I do zumba for cardio instead. I cant jump around like her, nor will I ever be able to, but I like the toning cause it gets me sore and its challenging but not too long time wise.

All I've tried is the cardio so far. What will I need for the toning? Hand weights I'm assuming? What weight?

Do you know where I can get the work out calendar for abscentric?

you just do each workout 10 times then move on to the next. you only need 3 pound weights, i havent gotten thru the first video Im starting over, the first one is only 28 minutes long, thats my favorite aspect, I get bored really easily lol

I'm building up slowly. doing the cardio every morning til I get good at it. Once I'm a little better I'll start with the toning. I peeked a little at the first one and did the first 5 minutes or so. Even without weights, I really felt the burn!

I'm about halfway through Abcentric and I'm shocked at the results. Huge reduction to my pooch. I have lost 20 lbs also.

Wow that's great!
Cause no matter what I do, or how much weight I lose I can't seem to target my stomach!

I love TAM but I do add in more arms/abs. I saw your post on the other thread....I wouldn't worry about the schedule...she suggests 6x a week with one rest day. I have kids so I usually do 4-5. Anyway what I do is a shortish ab segment from her post pregnancy dvd 3x a week, her abs webisode 1x a week and I toss in a few other things. I also add in the extra arms and standing abs. I'm about to start L5 and I'm feeling kind of lazy so I'll just do that levels's arms/standing abs 2x. It's honestly the only thing I've ever been able to stick to.

Doing TAM

Hi all, I did Tracy Anderson's 30 Day program (book with DVD) and it was challenging for me, but I pushed through it and finished yesterday. I did not lose any weight while on the program (figure I was building muscle or at a plateau) but wow did the inches come off....21" total from my chest, waist, hips, thighs, and arms. My bust went from 40 to 36! I lost 3" from each thigh. So today I started the Metamorphosis with Hip focus. It is still intense, but not as bad as the 30 day (which took me 1-1/2 hours with cardio). Today I did 15 minutes cardio and 30 minutes of mat work. I am trying to work up the cardio for fat burning. The muscle structure work she does is very different than anything else I've ever done. The premise is to pull in muscles, not bulk. I'm no pro, but I love the results. Oh, I also bought a rebounder and do her rebounder cardio DVD. Love it!

That is awesome! BC had a lot of hip moves that I don't need since I'm an apple.

Thanks, Lori. I do! I wish the pounds would come off, but I'm on the right track in that area too, so any day now....

Just FINALLY did the first work out. Man, good stuff. Wish my body moved like hers though. I really think these videos are designed for women who are just a little over weight and not obese like me. Man, it's HARD!

My abs and glutes are soooo sore just from doing that work out on Saturday! YIKES, I can tell this is going to be a good workout if I can ever get the time to do it regularly!

Lori, don't get frustrated, just do what you can do, trying to push yourself a little bit further every day. There are lots of ladies on the TAM message boards that were very overweight and have lost their weight and toned up very nicely. I weight 180, started at 267 five years ago. TAM is hard for me too because I'm almost *gulp* 50 and have been out of shape so much of my life, but I am seeing results...huge results! I am starting to lose again, too...thanks for the diet I'm using here. So happy and I feel so good. I get up at 4:15am to work out because I hate working out after work...I just want to be lazy after work...LOL. Keep trying...you can do it...we can all encourage each other!!
