Soon to head out to the town Memorial Day parade with some running friends. Then if the weather holds, we are taking a bike trip.

I hope everyone has a great day!

Went on a short bike ride with friends yesterday. Then it was a barbecue at a friend's house. The best part was they have a pool. The water was cold and refreshing with the weather being hot.

Ran a little over 4 miles in the heat yesterday. I took it nice and slow.

Ran the cross country 5K series race last night. I improved my time from 25:32 (last week) to 24:56. It was warm, but not too bad.

I was happy with the time especially after feeling pretty out of it while running Tuesday. In addition to Tuesday's heat, I think I was dealing with a possible pinched nerve. I was feeling it in my neck up to the head and even in my left foot. It's possible I pulled something when lifting, so I have reduced the weight. I don't need to get super muscular. Thankfully, I am feeling much better.

guess I missed the new thread for the week.

Been running my usual distances. Wednesdays have become trail days. Today I ran with the HM group. I did the 7 miles with them and then went up on the trails a bit. One near fall. I was alone and glad I didn't. I fell Wednesday but I seem to land well and get up as fast as possible.

I love my trail shoes. Wore them today because it stormed here and the paved trail tends to get muddy and wet. I didn't plan to do the rails but the training program was only doing 7 so I added on.

Ran the NJ Trail Series Spring Series Half Marathon in 2:08:23. The course was rugged and I nearly fell a few times. It was a nice morning for a long training run which is what I treated the event as.
