Wow, good plan!
I have been swimming daily for 20-25 minutes. Lately I've added some sprints, just to mix it up a bit! |

Great work, Lynn! Pool is closed today, but I'll head in Tuesday-Friday this week. Got a run in this morning (I'm on Couch to 5k), but I do wish that pool was open! It's hot.

Great job, Lynn! I managed to run 2.5 miles yesterday in two separate sessions; this morning, back to the pool for a 20-minute swim (not sure how many laps! I can't keep track....lol). I was planning to run today but it's going to be another scorcher, so maybe some weight lifting instead...

Sure thing and thanks!
I'll take a look at that Prevention mag for ideas I've been doing pool work but today will be my first day trying the DWR after some elliptical. We bought that floatie belt thingie - lol. May add my swin fins and weighted webbed hand gloves later too. It's gonna be hot today - I'm also in FL ~ |

Capricapers... I just finished a 2 mile walk... I should have started early..
What I use is not called a floatie.. you put it between your thighs and when you swim you are only using your arms...I figure since I get alot of leg exercise this would help my upper body...I used to use it a couple of years ago...hopefully it will build up my shoulders... Have a great day, Lynn 63 years young ![]() 175/170/150?? |

"this would help my upper body" LCINFLA, that sounds fantastic! A well rounded routine. Already did a two mile walk? Great
I just got off the elliptical with 20 minutes (one of the set programs.) 150 calories. Dr. says to get my heart rate up to 140 for 20 minutes. That's tough!!! ughChristineCQ - it sounds good huh? I'm about to go do mine. I take my DVD player out or the Ipad2 and watch TV - If I can do maybe 20 minutes - may equal 150 cals? That will be 300 give or take for the day There was a time I went for 1000 a day (and about 10 years ago went for 3000 - 5000 a day (seriously!) but that took 'bout four hours at the gym) - but my arthritis knee will not entertain that AT ALL right now.
