I had my class tonight....we did double kettlebells for all the exercises....plus some pushups....since I can't go on the floor I do them with my hands on the windowsill....and ab work...I'm drained!

Tomorrow will be just my PT exercises....normally on "play" days we do some Wii games or play ping pong but I don't know if we'll have time for that tomorrow...going shopping for birthday gift for granddaughter's 1st birthday!

I decided to do a full PEM today. 50 squats, 12 knee-pushups, two sets of 30 overhead dumb bell moves (two different kinds working the muscles differently), 30 seconds of real plank plus 10 seconds on each side. I feel noodly.
Should walk the dogs later, but it may not happen if it rains or dinner is late.

I was right, no time for fun stuff today.....did my PT exercises and 10 minutes easy pedaling on the indoor bike. The bike for now is just for the motion/movement without impact....therapist said 5 minutes at a time but I did 10 and it felt fine. Will talk more with her tomorrow at my next session.

A massage sounds nice

OK, 50 squats done, 50 more to go to complete my April challenge of 1000 squats for the month. Then I did 12 pushups. I'm amazed at how much better I am getting at them. I'm also amazed at how quickly my arm muscles are responding. My outer thighs are hard as rocks. The inner thigh area is too covered in fat to really tell anything. My butt's looking better, too, if I do say so myself. lol

While I'd like to say the massage was nice, it was actually somewhat painful and only on my calf on the leg with the inflamed Achilles tendon....I'd love to do a whole massage but that probably won't happen any time soon!

Glad you're seeing results from all your hard work!

Today was another day off for me....apparently this damp, cold weather doesn't like me much and I was having a lot of pain in my feet and legs....the dr. and the therapist both say they will get back to normal but I wonder....

Aw, bummer on the massage not being the nice kind and the pain you're going through. You sound like one tough cookie.

Thanks, not so tough but determined to be able to walk normal again and do the things I enjoy doing....I really thought that the knee replacement surgery 2 years ago was the answer to my problems but other things keep popping up...the therapist says she'll have me back to normal and I really think she will be able to help. She's the same one I had after my surgery and I love her!

All I can say now is do the work that needs to be done to be fit and strong so you don't end up with all these problems once you're older! I wish I had known a lot of the stuff I know now when I was younger!

So, I finished my 1000 squat challenge earlier today. It's supposed to be a sprint in the park day, but it's not going to happen. I just spent the last 4 hours out and about with my kids, and I'm exhausted.

Awesome!
I will tell you though, that Mark references PEMs -- Primal Essential Movements -- in the 21 Day Transformation book and the PB Fitness ebook gives the details, so you may want to read them side-by-side.

Crunches 150
rock curls 250

So....... what are you challenging yourself with!

Kim, welcome back! I've not been doing much the last couple days. I'll join you in the 750 squat challenge... tomorrow. lol
I think I burned myself out a bit trying to meet the 1000 goal. I don't want to do anymore squats! But, alas, I must. They are doing my body good and I love that.

No class this week....my exercise will be minimal...mostly PT exercises and maybe some yoga. Having a few issues with BP and inflammation so need to take it easier this week...plus we're getting ready to go visit son and family so not much time for workouts.

My challenges are not as defined....I need to do my kettlebell workouts when I can (class or dvd)....each class is usually the equivalent of around 250 squats (quarter squats for me). I need to do step ups....not the fast aerobic step ups but slower ones to strengthen my quads.

Until I get my foot/leg issues fixed I will do what I can....

Ahhhhhhhhh I LOVE MAY in Florida! It's 75 already =(

Morning workout 25 squats in the shower...... Yesterday I helping a mama duck get most of her babies back from a sewer grate in my parking lot it work for about 25 minutes..so I think that counts kind of like sprinting... have you ever tried to catch a mama duck so she can be re-united with her babies..... geeze! there are 1-3 more down there but they were in the pipe and we could NOT get them to get out ....so we had to leave them~ we did throw some bread down there so they had something to eat~ ...If I hear them this morning I will call our local wildlife rehab people. I didn't think of it yesterday - so I am sort of kicking myself.

Anyway...DD has 5 hour practice today so I will be coming home to make up some sweet potato hash and do the rest of my workout.. how is everyone else doing????

How is everybody doing with their fitness goals? Me, not so well unfortunately. I'm fighting motivational issues... again. I am keeping up with my squat challenge. I went down from 50 to 40 every morning which is much more doable. I am also keeping up with regular pushups and am able to do 13 knee-pushups now

I need to get the dog-walking routine going again, not only for me, but the poor dogs!

What's going on with you?
