2 miles on the treadmill today for me.

Karen, nice work with the push ups. When I was doing insanity last year, I could do 15-20. Would love to get back up there.

Magie, great job on the treadmill!

I did a circuit video today. 45 minutes. Took yesterday off and it was so needed after Jillian on Saturday.

Hope you all are having a great Monday!

Howdy!

everyone! I've been watching (lurking) for a while and would like to join in. Like someone else posted, I was posting on the Walking Challenge, but I can't keep up with them! Today I planned to "dance" with Richard Simmons - I still love his Oldies, even had the rug rolled and outside and my tennies on when my dh fired up his chainsaw. So I spent 45 minutes carrying and stacking firewood to help him. But it's exercise too, so I'll take it!

My planned exercising includes walking, gardening (without today's 30 mph winds!), Treadclimber, Bowflex and Cardioglide, with swimming when it warms up some or I join a club with an indoor pool again, whichever comes first!

Unplanned exercises? Whatever life throws at me!!! Anyway, I hope you'll let me join you!!!

Welcome Texas Cowgirl! I'm a fine one to be rolling out the welcome mat since it's been so long since I've posted anything at all! I did like you and tried one of the walking threads and they were walking six miles a day and such! I like this thread where you can count walking a mile around WalMart!

I finally got that pedometer I was waiting for! It is very nice and I did have to have my 16 year old son set it up for me! Just my regular every day walking around at work and home is about 4500 steps. I need to double that and then some! The weather has been so weird around here! It is freezing one day, then 70 the next and a ton of rain! I've got to start getting that mile in every day some how though!

Leisha, I need to get a pedometer too, even here at home I do a lot of uncounted walking just between the main house and the "bunkhouse." It just seems like something I need is always in the other house for some reason.

The livestrong website gives calorie counters for grocery shopping, housecleaning, and lots of other unclaimed activities. Maybe it would at least make them more pleasant to do if we thought about the calories we were burning.

After DH went to bed (he's substitute teaching tomorrow so he has to get up early), I decided to do my new Simmons dvd. What a workout for this old lady! I did it all (sort of, a few mods) except the 9th and hardest of the 11 songs and sat down and just did arm movements for that one. But it was still a good workout!

BTW, please send us at least half a ton of that rain! Most of Texas, including our part, is still suffering from this terrible drought!

It rained again today Texas Cowgirl! Oh how I wish we could send some your way. I know it has been dangerously dry out there. I told my husband just now that I was so glad he was watching tv because I was going to have to do Walking Away the Pounds if he hadn't been. He told me he would let me have it! I just said no. I am so non-motivated to exercise! I know if I will just do something a couple of days I will start wanting to do it. I just can't get started for some reason!

Texas Cowgirl!! Glad you have found us here!

We have had 2 chilly rainy, icky, yucky days! But tomorrow is supposed to be nice. I took Sat off for working out, but got in a 45 minute cardio dvd and rode the elliptical for 35 minutes today.

Tomorrow is *suppose* to be in the 60s so maybe DS and I will go for a walk. We'll just have to wait and see.

everyone! I did lots of exercise yesterday but didn't get it posted! Worked out with a Richard Simmons dvd, walked for 15 minutes, stacked firewood again and gardened for an hour! But today I subbed and I'm exhausted so I'm skipping today. Cross your fingers and for us to get rain. It's forecast for today, tonight & tomorrow, but the radar map today showed lots of green stuff and we literally got drops!

I'll try to get back on track tomorrow. Everyone move around some!

everyone! Just finished an arm workout on the Bowflex and 15 minutes on the Treadclimber (slow speed for this old lady!) but the best news is we got RAIN!!! It was .8 inch, but that's more than we have had in many months, combined! The rain will be great for the transplants I set out Monday, and I noticed the wild honeysuckle is blooming. Does that mean spring is here? Actually, I expect another freezing night or two before this winter is over, but we'll see!

Karen, I hope that knee is better. Take good care of yourself!

And everyone ielse, shake, roll, or move it!

Oh Karen, I hope your knee gets feeling better soon. I have a bum knee that can act up and it stinks! I go to the chiro on Fri!

Texas for rain!! That is great! It is so warm here in NC that we have a few bees, flies and flowers are starting to come out!

Yesterday, I did a 40 minute dvd and upped my weights. I was sore when I woke up. Today I did a 40 minute pilates dvd which I thought might be a little easier. Yeah, well, now I am even more sore! I am okay with that. Tomorrow will have to be easier to let my muscles repair.

Hope you all are having a great hump day!

Not feeling up to par today, so I did not do any excercises. If I go to bed early tonight, I should be up and perking in the morning.

Kuddos to all those who did their moving today.

Texas Cowgirl.....Rain!! I saw it on the radar today and was wondering if that was coming down on you! We had another terrible round of tornadoes here in Alabama with loss of life again. I'm starting to be really scared when it clouds up now!

Today was beautiful!! It was 77! Way too warm for this time of the year! I made it up to 7100 steps today on my pedometer!! I'm going to make it to 10000 yet!!

iakaren....hope you feel better in the morning!
Stacey and Magie....great job!!!

Cathie....I hope you're doing ok!

everyone! It's a beautiful sunny day here now that the norther has blown through! Kinda cool, though, with wind chill it's 45*. When it warms up some this afternoon I may try to garden or walk, otherwise I'll exercise indoors. Leisha, we had some 'naders here in Texas, including a couple not too far from us, but not a whole lot of damage and no deaths, thank Goodness. Sorry it was so severe for y'all.

Karen, hope that knee is getting better. Everyone who offered to share their rain, we could still use it. Other parts of the state got lots more than we did, and we need to catch up. I suppose we could even melt snow if they lift the burn bans. Some burn bans were so strict that Boy Scouts couldn't even cook their food at some of the camps! And no backyard barbecuing!

Everyone have a great day and move around some!

We have livestock, so I can share the drought concerns. We have been lucky last few years and had good weather.

Feeling better after chiro, so back to work (excercise) again.
