Wow, wow, wow we are all definitely moving. Leisha how are you enjoying that pedometer? I bet it amazes you how many steps you take.
Mel I got 2 miles on the treadmill done, was going for a 3rd mile but my baby brother called from Cali. so didn't get it in. He was well worth missing it though. Upper body- I used a weighted ball and bounced it fifty times. ![]() |

Everyone and Mel! I didn't get to post yesterday but I did 15 min on the Treadclimber (love that it's so much lower impact than a treadmill) and a workout with the Bowflex.I'm going into town to meet a friend for lunch at Olive you-know-what. I'll try to get something healthy. Besides the carbs, everything there has so much salt! After I get back, I'll garden today. It's a beautiful day and I have more transplants to set out! ![]() karen, we have sold all our livestock and are putting the land into wildlife conservation use. The years of drought took their toll. A round bale of hay is selling for $140 and up here and cattle raisers are having to feed year round. We raised Longhorn cattle, like "Sharon" the one in my pic, and we miss them, especially the calves at this time of year, and our horses. But it was all too much work and expense for no profit. Everyone shake today! ![]()

y'all! I hope you're having as great a weekend as I am! Yesterday I went into town to have lunch with a friend and then we shopped our way across the mall and back -- 3 hours of mall shopping exercise! ![]() Today's exercise will be helping hubby drop and clean the purple martin houses and then some gardening. Maybe some bowflex or treadclimber if I'm up to that too. I'm slow-cooking chili for dinner tonight.Bliss and other swimmers, wish I could join you. I've been thinking about rejoining my health center so I can get back to swimming year-round. But the membership fee is high and the fuel and time to drive into town. It was so convenient when I worked to stop on the way home. I'd better get to moving. Make it a great day, y'all! ![]() |

y'all! It's Mondayyyyyy The start of a new exercise week! (And work week, but we won't think about that! )I'll bow- flex & tread after my morning coffee and then garden when it warms up a bit outside -- it's 55* right now, but supposed to be around 70* later today and a 40% chance of showers tonight, so I want to get those plants set out! ![]() Everyone have a great day and a great week! Do something! ![]() |

Wow. Y'all make me feel like the lazy slug I have been! I only walked 1250 steps Saturday and most of those were to the kitchen!![]() The people were putting siding on the part of the house that has to be painted so I just stayed locked up in my bedroom on Pinterest most of the day. Just wasted it! I think it's good to have a day like that occasionally though.....occasionally being the key word here! I haven't checked the weather lately but I do know that it is freezing today! Maybe it's going to warm up some. I hope so. It has been a very mild winter here except for a day or two here and there of cold.

Gremom, we've had the bowflex for many, many years, but I am just now getting back to it. We also have a BF Treadclimber, which I also enjoy. It's much more low impact than regular treadmills.
Planned to exercise today after gardening, but I wore myself out pulling weeds and other chores -- worked for almost an hour and a half! ![]() I received another Richard Simmons dvd in the mail today. I used to have all four Sweating to the Oldies vhs tapes and am getting them now on dvd. I have a lot of other exercise tapes and dvds, but these are just so much fun. If anyone knows any other exercise videos that are fun, please let us know! Everybody move around some and shake yourself!!! ![]() |

Today I took a 1hr water aerobics class that kicked my butt, I haven't exercised in a group since high school swim practice!
Texas, they might not be fun but they're not intimidating, I like Leslie Sansone's Walk Away the Weight videos. |

I've never tried a Richard Simmons workout but they look like a lot more fun that the other stuff. I think I might order me one from half!
I would love to try Zumba but I wasn't built to move like that! ![]() I wish I could because they all look like they are having so much fun! I do have a couple of the Leslie dvd's that I like.....I need to pull them out because it's cold and windy again today. I guess I'm waiting for the perfect conditions to really get going. .....for now....this walk around the block is more than I've been doing but I have to start somewhere! |

Oops, sorry, Mel 7!!!
Flexing is fun but I haven't gone in our exercise room today -- pretty sore from gardening yesterday so today I just walked around outside and weeded a flower bed.But that counts too! |

I keep hearing about Callanetics, but I can't find them anywhere, and I sure don't have a VHS player, since most of the videos sold online are, well videos not DVD's, maybe I'm not looking hard enough...
Anywhoo today I did 20 min of lap swimming, I was hoping that by increasing my exercise some of the swelling that I get in my legs would go away, but I guess nothing is a magic bullet, I must keep reminding myself that. |
