Pure Barre??

Does anyone do Pure Barre or the Bar Method work outs?? I absolute love these work outs and was curious to see if anyone else does??

"Pure Barre is a total body workout that lifts your seat, tones your thighs and burns fat in record-breaking time. Utilizing the ballet barre to perform small isometric movements set to fantastic music, Pure Barre is the fastest, most effective, yet safest way to change your body. Students see results in just 10 classes.

Pure Barre is intelligent exercise. The technique protects your joints as it does not involve any bouncing or jumping. Each strength section of the workout is followed by a stretching section in order to create long, lean muscle without bulk. The workout launches a full blown attack on the areas of the body all women struggle with: abs, hips, seat and arms. It defies gravity by tapering everything in and lifting it up.

The workout requires such focus that you block "life" out for the hour allowing you to obtain the mental benefits achieved in yoga or meditation. A transformed body and a clear head in just one hour- it doesn't get much better than this."

What kind of barre do you have? I bought the Fluidity bar used for $35 but have never used it and I have had it over a year now. It is really heavy. I don't have any kitchen chairs of appropriate height either, any suggestions?

You can use a kitchen counter or any kind of furniture, you only need something to "touch" you're not going to be leaning on it its just to help keep balance, I use the back of my couch

I do the Bar Method DVDs in addition to other workouts. LOVE Bar Method; not impressed with "Pure Barre."

I am currently about two weeks into a barre rotation. I am using Bar Methods, Barre3, Pure Barre, Grace Lazenby (All The Right Moves series) Fluidity etc. I am thinking about getting the Physique 57 workouts too. But I already have so many I should probably just use the ones I have. The variety helps me not get bored though. My favorites are the Bar Methods, Barre3 and ATRM Low Rise workout. I keep trying to click with the Pure Barres and it isn't really happening, but I toss them in every once in a while for variety anyway.

My plan is to focus on barre style workouts for six months. I have notorious workout distraction though so we shall see!

Joyful, Wow, I don't think I would be able to stick to one form of exercise for 6 months. More power to you. I need variation.

I haven't done it yet so I really appreciate those powerful thoughts. I suspect I will be missing my dumbbells before the six months is over. But I am really curious to see what the results from just barre will be so hopefully I can hang in there.

Has anyone tried barre3 with the fitball? I just got this today but I plan to continue my weight training workouts too!
