Just finished another hour of Evolution. Way behind on my goal, but still feeling like it is working.

My behind was sore today so my only callanetics today was the 15 minute maintenance.
I did walk 3 miles so 17.5/20 done.

Hi all,

New member and I'm revisiting Callanetics! I wanted to ask if anyone knows how the barre and core fusion worksouts compare? I'm lost as what to stick with! Many of the movements are similar but lack the small pulses that I think makes callanetics what it is. Thanks.

Thanks Mullberry It looks like ou made your goal. Congratualtions!

I did a mish-mash of everything today. I seem to be doing more and more Super movements, so maybe someday I'll actually do the full DVD. BUT my flexibility still needs a LOT of improvement, so I'm finding myself conflicted with that. I guess I'll figure it out at some point... and of course, my body will let me know.

Good going everyone!!! Keep on pulsing! There's still one more day!!!

Did horrible this month. Guess May is another month.

I have spent so much time in the car driving to and from my son's lacrosse games, which on average are 5 hours away, and then working and life that by the time evening comes around I don't want to do anything.

This weekend is the last game unless they win and hopefully May will bring me a less busy schedule.

Hi SLK and

Callanetics and the barre method are very similar, but I do prefer Callanetics - I think it works better. To keep the work out interesting I do integrate some of the barre exercises now and then.
I looked up core fusion and it looks very much like Pilates. I am a Pilates teacher as well and I like to mix Callanetics and Pilates exercises for my students, it is a great combination and it works well.

So mix and match from the programs you have, it will keep your routine interesting.

Enjoy, Romy

Hi, everyone! I was just checking to see if the May Callanetics Challange thread had been created yet. I told myself that when I made it to Onderland, I would take exercise more seriously. Today, I received a brand new 10 in 10 DVD and rejoined a local gym.

So, I'm ready when you are!

This was your first month? I'm about to start my first month! Tell me what I can expect. Will my form be terrible for the first few weeks? How long did it take you to do it well? I am not limber at all, but I hope Callanetics will help me in that area. I'm also looking forward to decreased back pain and better sleep.

I have Callanetics scheduled for tomorrow before I leave town. I am going to Hawaii for a week and will not be taking my computer with me. I plan on staying on schedule while I am away and will check in on the new thread when I return! Aloha!

I've ordered the Evolution dvd & Cardio dvd so I'm looking forward to taking part in this months challenge.

I made my goal! 14 hours for April, bringing this year's total to 44 hours. The firmness is slowly but surely making it's way up my thighs.
