Welcome back everyone..

What a horrible day I had yesterday.

1. Son goes motorcycle riding
2 . comes home and then goes back out riding with diferent friends
3. Mom of friends calls me to come to their house my son was unconsisus after a bad wreck
4. Life flighted to RUBY hospital
5 after many many hours... NOTHING broken, NOTHING CUT Just a major head concussion, now I get to stay up all night and watch him breath...

6... I need a beer, chocolate, and a better day tomorrow.

Daughter takes LPN interview Thursday

1. goal.. I am so proud,,, EVEN through this stress I have stayed on track.. I have not cheated.. I would love to go for a walk tomorrow... Son can not be left alone for a day or two so we shall see what happens

I need to set some mini goals for April, however, RIGHT NOW I just want to live through the night and see that everything tomorrow is ok.

Here I am and going to keep my 5 day workout plan at the gym. But I'm also going to start power walking with my neighbor and see how I like it. She just came up to open her cottage for the summer and she loves walking, and it shows.

BeThin- Please keep us updated on your son. It sounds like your family has experienced a huge miracle since he is doing well considering what he has just experienced.

I am setting my goal for 14 hrs of 10/10, 15 hrs of elliptical, and 10 hrs of walking. We shall see if I achieve any of those as I am 5 weeks from seeing my baby girl!

As a side note, my doc noted that my stomach muscles and everything still seem very strong and he thinks labor will be relatively easy for me (considering I am going for all natural). I totally attribute it to callanetics, working out, and eating well. Hopefully it is easy!

Walking tonight just as soon as Husband comes home to babysit our 15 yr son... I am carring a lot of water weight this week.. I think it has a little to do with stress..

One of my goals this month is go put in 50 miles. I can do that.

I'm ready to MOVE IT in April.....

BeThin! I amost had a heart attack when I heard about your son..... That is the phone call EVERY parent dreads. I am so glad he seems to be okay. Keep us updated on him!

Hi LJ! Congratulations on your engagement and upcoming marriage! March to August isn't much planning time!! But what fun it will be..... is your avatar a picture of your thin little self and your fiance?

LOL Mel.... I KNEW you could take Jillian on with no problem! Nice sleeping! I wanna do that@

Misty: I used to powerwalk and plan on taking it up again as soon as the weather improves. I got up to 10 minute miles. Just got my new Sketcher's Shape Up shoes and so I am ready! We "powerwalked" the twins Tuesday night but not in 10 minute miles for sure!!

Welcome Sophia! We are a fun group here that does not necessarily keep our conversations to exercise!

NewMamma.... 5 weeks away from your new daughter. So exciting!! I love your goals and I am sure they have helped with what your doc noted! Good luck on the "natural" stuff. My babies were born C-Section. I only ever had 1 labor pain and that was enough! I'm a whimp though.

I like the idea of setting distance goals for walking/running! I think I'll set a 50 mile goal for April too!

Still on my M&E Fast 3 days a week and my ACV Cocktail. Saw one more lb gone this morning, but I know that will stop......

DH, my Dad and I are going to our favorite Cajun bar/restaurant for Shrimp and Oysters tonight. Hope they don't put me in a HUGE stall.

Have a great evening all.

PS: Just heard a HUGE thunder clap outside and now it is raining. I want WALKING weather!

OK.. MY son did very well today except for the headache and that was just expected. HE could have one for 3 to 14 days. HE has been here with different friends off and on.. HE is not allow to be alone for another day... Has a DR appointment in two weeks.

Walked 3 miles today... IT was great.. I needed the stress relief...

I am gonna to start lifting weights again... I really need to exercise first thing in the morning... IF I don't then it just seems harder to get it in.

LJ! Congratulations on your engagement how exciting.

Welcome all newbies

Sooz I just love have you here...

BeThin and Mel..... thanks so much for the nice compliment! I love having you here too! Everyone in this group is great!

BeThin, I am so glad your son did well. He must have really bonked his noggin since he still can't be alone! But a 3 mile stress walk is a definite benefit!

Mel: You are a MACHINE today girl! We are supposed to be chilly and rainy today so no exercise outside for me.

Vicki: You are just 4lbs away from your goal and then you will have lost 30 lbs. That's really great!!

Walked the treadmill yesterday for 2 miles. Then went to our cajun place called Oscar Blue's. I had 3 oysters with horseradish and hotsauce and the inside of a redfish taco. Really nice to be able to eat LC anywhere. Then we headed over to our Irish Pub and had about 5 naked wings and 2 glasses of wine. Then..... I was so excited to be 1lb down again this AM!!

So, I am going to keep going with my M&E Fast (thanks BeThin for leading me to this!) and my ACV Cocktail 3X a day and see what happens!

Have a great day everyone. Working from home today beginning to help DD get the last of her stuff ready to move tomorrow! I am so excited to see her new house all set up!

Apple Cider Vinegar! I found a thread here: http://www.lowcarbfriends.com/bbs/ma...l#post13325304 and remembered that in 1988 I went to Diet Center in Tucson and lost 55 lbs in 9 weeks. One of the requirements was that you had to have 2 tablespoons a day of Organic ACV (with the "Mother"). Back then the only way you could get it was to buy bottles of it from them. You could eat it on your salad, on your veggies or you could drink it mixed with water and back then a pink packet of sweetener. It was delicious as a drink.

I forgot how much energy I had back then. I never had bathroom problems, even though Diet Centers was very low carb and very limited veggies and seriously, I went from 188 to 133 in 9 short weeks.

So my ACV cocktail is
2 teaspoons ACV (Bragg's because it has "the mother" in it)
8 ounces of water
1 packet Splenda

I have one I first get up in the AM, 30 minutes before lunch, then 30 minutes before dinner and I have been feeling really good!

well got workout in at the gym 1 1/2 hours and did my food shopping for the holidays. Wow never take men shopping for food. He was like a little kid, and wanted everything.

Sooz I'm starting off real slow, and then increase my power walking gradually. I live on dirt roads so it's going to be hard. And it's going to be in the morning when it's cool. I do like to go for a nice long walks around the lake after dinner..How was your dinner out last night? I love sea food.

BeThin glad to hear your son is doing a little better. What a lucky boy.

Mel your going to be in great shape for the summer. Your an exercise machine. They'll be no jiggles and wiggles on you.

LJR, AKGirl, and newmama welcome. I missed the new thread and just now got caught up.

BeThin, I bet that drove you crazy about your son's crash. So glad he is doing ok.

Mel, Misty and Sooz, hi there.

I walked this morning at a pretty fast clip for 60 minutes.

Hi All

Hi
I'm new to this site and love what I'm reading already.
I walk everyday 3 miles before the sun rises and love it. Tons of hills in my area.
I plan to add about 2 miles this month. I have asthma so it can be hard at times but it is getting easier. My goal is to be able to jog/run and lose this extra body I've been carrying with me for the past 4 years.
So far I have lost 20 lbs since starting a nutritional plan on Feb 27th this year.
Keeping it Moving is what I will do!

Welcome Mynelja.

Walked yesterday afternoon with fiance' for about an hour, twice for me yesterday. May make up for not exercising today unless we sneak in something between Easter meals.
