From your previous post though, it seems like you're trying to fit Callanetics into a busy schedule of taking care of everyone else. Maybe you can pick a time or a day you can be more consistent and take care of you? I don't see Callanetics as exercise. I see it as one of those things I need to do in my day to take care of myself, like brushing my teeth, eating, or sleeping.
Than you for this! Just what I needed! And yes, 3>0

You see right through me. I am trying to fit exercise into a very busy schedule. I don't know what happened. Last fall I was even busier and could fit Callanetics easily in I don't see Callanetics as exercise either, it's my time and I just love what it does to my body and soul!

I'm a bit depressed, though. Due to various reasons. You all are the thing keeping me with Callanetics and feeling good I know I'll easily just eat sweets and such. Or even worse: start smoking again

I'll get there. And so will all of you! I'm sure of it!

I did my 8th hour last night and noticed a marked improvement in strength in several of the exercises. I wonder how much of its from the 2 day break and how much is actual muscle improvement. Tonight on to my 9th hour!

Has anyone had a problem with bulging veins while doing low carb dieting and callanetics?

I don't think they were varicose veins. It's just that my veins bulged underneath my skin, kinda like Angelina Jolie's or Madonna's arms. Someone told me it was because I had lost the layer of fat that is right beneath the skin. I told it may have happened because I was exercising so much.

I did my 9th hour this morning. I was a lot stiffer than usual. I think its a combo of it being morning and I'm still sore from that Bhangra Masala workout on Saturday. Only three more to my goal of 12!!

Splitting the Evolution Program

Thanks Sandra for your reply,

Mother said she needs to note the specific exercises that are giving her trouble and I'll be back with you.

One question, sometimes I need to split the workout because I don't have time to complete all of Evolution in one setting. Can I split like doing 30 min at a time and then come back and complete the tape? I could repeat the warm-up to loosen my muscles again....Or is the program most effective when completed in one session?

Thanks

It's fine to split the session up. I've always been a fan of this and my favourite video was AM/PM as it suited me better. I still do this now and will pop in to the studio to get 10 or 15 mins when I have time. It makes it very do-able doesn't it?

An hour of Callanetics done. I didn't do Callanetics over the Christmas period and because of that my knees had been really sore, even when just walking down the street (I had knee injuries as a child). I'm back into Callanetics properly now and all my knee pain has gone completely, even when running. It's like magic. Callan Pinckney is one smart lady!

Yes, you an split up all the Callanetics workouts. It was the 80's and I'd always wear my leotard at home so it was easy to fit in the exercises. ACtually, I think I got the idea from Callan who said that her mum would wear hers while hanging round the house.

The best way is to complete warm-ups thru abs as your first workout. You would have warmed up your muscles and completed the neck stretches which help enormously when doing the ab workout.

Absolutely, I am your personal Callanetics Trainer

Thanks for the reply Sandra - you are so awesome for helping us with all of this!!

One more 10/10 done yesterday for a total of 6/10 for the month.

Yesterday, I threw in the new hip/behind exercises from Evo after I was done with 10/10 and I could feel the muscles vibrating as you said, Sandra! I was so excited.

Although now I am at the point where my thighs have slimmed down nicely but my hips are still big and it looks odd. I think I gave up at this point the last time I tried this but I'll give it some more time and hope it starts to pull in.
