No kidding, today is going to be spectacular, just came in from the garage getting the bike ready for a group ride on the Chicago Lake Front with a bunch of us... Felt like 50's already. Only obstacle is the high SW winds going to make it tough going to the S. Shore Countryclub at the end of the path.

Enjoy the outdoors Midwesterner's!!!

Day 30 results!!

Helloooo my fellas!!

I'ts great to see you all are rocking it!

BeThin - I'm going to weight in only once a month. It's the only way your body can adjust to your workouts and you can actually see a change without going insane. I lost 3 pounds this month, plus some fat, so I'm happy!!!

Vicki - I'm definitely posting pics when I'm closer to 145 pounds (10 pounds up from my first big goal), so the change is more noticeable. I have one picture with my BF's sisters that was taken when I was 180-ish or probably more that still scares me... hahahahaha

I'm finishing a work project with a rather tight deadline, but I wanted to bump in real quick and post my results for my first 30 days on P90, as promised. I know it's the cheesy infomercial thing, but it most definitely works.

I hope you guys are enjoying your weekend... Thanksgiving is just around the corner... I just can't believe it...

Rebecca, you are doing fantastic.

Yesterday my son and I walked at a park for about 30 minutes since it was sooooo nice outside. We had planned on hiking at a State park here but there were signs posted that bow hunting was going on to deplete the deer population.

I did an "easy" workout this morning: Body for Life for Women DVD (30 min) and Ab Ripper 100 tape: Rebecca, I kept this tape since it is pretty short and I can't get weirded out by Tony.

I have no goals, but it seems I'm in constant motion these days. I walk 2 miles a day, am actively decluttering/clearing out my house and yard, and even when I'm sitting watching t.v. I keep my legs and arms moving to try to build some muscle.

I'm definitely moving it! I don't think I can lose without exercising like crazy.

Helloooo my fellow rockstars!!

I did my first 3-4 Sculpt workout yesterday. My oh my!! It's definitely harder. I'm thankful for the change, I was growing bored of doing the same ole two workouts for an entire month. I'm doing my first cardio 3-4 today... let's see how it goes.

Vicki - Thank you!! It's great to share this journey with you guys. Those abs tapes are really good... I'm doing my first 200 video... the 100 felt a bit hard for the last set, like I said, lets see how it goes later today...

Aaaaah, teen boys... a friend of mine has a 13 yr. old that sometimes wants her around, and sometimes don't... she kind of understands, but it's funny to guess when it's a good time to hang out with her kiddo...

Diet pills... those have to be avoided like the plague!! some of those concoctions raise blood pressure or even worse things.

Mel - Hi!!

StephStu - Welcome! This thread is full of really cool peeps, you're gonna have a blast

I'm rocking it in a little while... wish me luck!

Yesterday I did the Rock N Roll stepper and Slim and Limber. This morning walked to a Kathy Smith cassette for 60 minutes and did the wt machines at the Y this afternoon.

I weight in to TOPS tonight so I go light on breakfast and lunch.

B - soy milk protein powder chia seed shake; coffee w coconut oil and half/half

L Broccoli cheese soup that I had made this morning, yummy. I haven't ever made it before.

S not sure after I get home from TOPS. Maybe a chicken patty and veggies.

level 3-4 is kicking my rear!! Level 1-2 was getting rather easy for me, but this is a whole new ballgame... max push ups and max squats for the last round of exercises. I'm a bit sore, in a really good way. Cardio 3-4 is also harder, but very manageable - I have a hard time at the end of Abs 200 though. I feel the burn baby... the burn!!

Mel - I hope you and your son feel better soon. Take it easy and give yourself some time to heal

Vicki - Way to go with your workouts! Sounds a very balanced mix: cardio with flexibilty and strength I guess this is probably the first time I'm doing something balanced (there's even a sprinkle of yoga in P90, which is great)

These past few days have been a bit busy for me, so I've kept my menus uber simple.

I made a big batch of ground beef, fried with some olive oil, garlic and Italian seasoning, and I've been eating portions of that, with some veggies on the side, and scrambled eggs with breakfast (with lots of organic butter!!)

I make some food ahead when I know I will be busy, so I can grab a bowl of something "legal" whenever hunger strikes.

BeThin - That hamburger sounds yummo!!

Rebecca i love making food ahead of time and freezing it up or portioning it out.
I have to label most of my containers cause i have a very hungry 20 year old boy that sometimes comes home at 4am from work and eats a few of my portions i label it mom's food and stack them so there is no question

so today my guys are both home cause of the stat..i hear one hacking and the other is snoring.

I have a huge package of hamburger myself, thawed out overnight so im going to fill the crock with chili and i want to make this cream cheese/tomatoe/hamburger dish the ML is always on about.

Country music awards tonight if anyone is interested

Aaaaah, the strange case of the vanishing hamburger... happens all the time

Mel, you're gonna LOVE that cream cheese and spicy tomato recipe. I wrap it in steamed cabbage to make "wraps" and it comes out just yummo

I'm going boxing tonight! I will make some light cardio (hip hop abs), along with Abs200, and will do the harder cardio tonight, instead of Sweat 3-4

Let's keep on rocking it!!

I don't have the bug, just the blues... The weather here is depressing. I would go outside but it is cold, dark, and COLD.. Did I mention it is COLD!! The older I get the colder I become....

I think it would be great to move to a warmer place. I think I would loose 50 lbs just being outside all of the time enjoying the sun...

don't worry.. I am not taking diet pills..

I now know why I am do FAT... IT is called KIDS... KIDS who will do anything to disrespect their parents and do anything to hurt your feelings just because they know they can... I had a really bad day and a worst night. I want FUDGE but I know better than to eat it....

Off to bed.. Do a little crying and hoping and praying tomorrow is a better day.

Really needed to vent.. Thanks....

I'm sore in a sweet, great way, in total post-workout bliss... boxing class with heavy bags is just my thing. Meditation made my way I guess...

Mel - I'm glad you liked the recipe! Spinach sounds like a great addition, I will try it next time.

BeThin - Moms are super heroes... the sad and terrible thing is that we kids don't realize it until WAY later in life. We're here for you! It's better to vent and talk about it than having that pudding I've had a couple of days myself just lately that have made me feel like eating a whole entire pile of brownies...
