november walking challenge

simple rules....l

log your minutes and whoever walks the most in November wins. Heads up! I won't win. But I will be encouraged by whoever joins in and walks with me.


We will encourage each other....Come join me. NOVEMBER 1st until December 1st.....Let's go!!!!

Walker here! Almost everyday. I aim for 3 miles but time crunches, sometimes only 1.5 miles.

I am doing a 5K on Thanksgiving morning with my family. I plan on racewalking.

So we start are pedometer on Sunday? Is that the idea?

Hi Guys,
So glad to see you all. Yes Stevie, we start the count on Sunday. I'm glad it's not today. I threw my back out on Tuesday, but its on the mend and I'll be ready by Sunday....Like Kaimis sigi says:

Motivation is what gets you started and Habit is what keeps you going.

I'm wanting this to be the start for a habit of a lifetime for me...And a you all too!

Agreed Kaimi,,,,I'm not a taskmaster. More like a slackmaster would be a better description.

So I thought a good way to keep track is to just list your minutes on your sigi, if you want to.

Thank you, It was a joke from a previous challenge that I did. Actually, I was sick and wasn't able to exercise for over a month. I had walked 3 months straight in a row with 140+ miles and I hardly think that's "slacking". KWIM? Anyway................

I made a new signature, how does it look?

So glad you are doing this thread about walking. There was one here about 4-5 years ago... it tried to get the minutes up to 10,000... it was called the 10,000 challenge...Great idea....

I am in...80 miles WALKED in October ( and I have 2 days to go)

I've been keeping track since the year started....cause of a pre-diabetic condition....which i no longer have

Might as well do as many miles as we can in November...December will be a very busy month with the shopping, decorating and receiving guests...i'll be busy receiving mostly my 3 kids with spouse and granddaughter they are all from out of town...all the eating and drinking

Planning on 100 miles in november....

Pedometer is all shinning and is ready to go...

1 mile at a time we're doing it...

Thanks Stevie, I do feel better today and I know the extra day will help. It is weird how you can just pick something up the wrong way and it's not even heavy, but you pay for a week.
