I'm in I only have about 30 minutes a day to devote to walking so I definitely won't be the winner, but anything that will help me to get my butt back on the treadmill is a good thing.

30 minute walk done! Since it's been a while I decided to start slow, but was able to get up to 3.5 mph. Probably still slow for some of you but a pretty good clip for me. May try to get another walk in later today.

Hey Jennifer You did gr8 in my book! As a matter of fact I'll probably come in last as far as any challenge goes, but I finally took the clothes off my walking machine and walked. Next thing I need to do is dust it.

I walked 1/2 mile and it took 12min. and 30 seconds. Whooohoooo!

Well this helped me to set my goal at 30 miles for November.

So far, no candy BUT it's only 8:50 am

I found dh's stash of "frozen" mini candy bars in the freezer this morning.

They are now out of my view when I open up the freezer. Hopefully, they will still be there when he comes home on Friday.

My walking stats this morning...Time: 61:03, Distance: 3.1, Calories: 303 and Carb counter: 37.8

I planned on walking 2 miles yeterday but by the afternoon I was lazy. We did go out shopping for 2 hours so that was walking but didn't count it. I like to only count walking that I do with my HRM or GPS.

I have a doctor appointment at 0830 tomorrow morning and hopefully I can get in a walk before then. If not, probably won't do it because I have errands to run. Getting old sucks!

I'd rather walk first thing in the morning and get it over with, otherwise I will NOT do it.

I love all the info that a pedometer gives out after intering all your info...does all the work for you and so very convinient....timer,calories burned,mileage,steps/per mile, steps and the time of day..all that info in such a small gadget..i don't leave home without it...every steps counts....

I do my walking mostly at night with LS...in the morning it's the WT part of the W/O with t-Tapps....that's one thing i've learn through the years, you have to enjoy what you do to keep it up...

This morning I am walking but I need to bring the kiddo and dog with me...so I am hoping to get at least 30 minutes. That usually equates to 2 miles.

what kind of pedometer do you have? sorry, if you posted on the WATP's thread. I would love to have one that is accurate or didn't require me to input a lot of info.

I wear my gps watch but it's so bulky and everyone asks me what in the world am I wearing.

bethin, wish i could do the treadmill while watching tv. i have no place to put it close to the tv. i just listen to my iPod.

SR, hope you get in a walk with your dog.

Ok, i have a confession. This morning i soooooooooo did not want to walk on the treadmill. I feel like if i walk outdoors and my car is parked on the other side of base that i HAVE to walk back to it...where as if i'm at home walking on the treadmill i can hop off anytime and call it quits.
My house is sooo cold and i swear it's colder than outside. Our house heats by radiators and it takes 2 hours before they heat up to where we can smell the heat. I hate it. I love my house in the summer but dread the winter months.

My pedometer is a FREESPIRIT...the only thing i needed to do was to put in my stride length for either walking or running ... i don't run anymore did it in my younger days but not anymore and my weight...it might not be accurate but for me, it gives me an idea on how i'm doing and it encourages me to keep on going...
