Awwww....sweetie you will get there! You have to give yourself a break. I don't have near as much on my plate as you and I still have trouble getting motivated some days.

Your body knows best and it's telling you you need to give it some rest. If you stress yourself too much you are making yourself more susceptible to getting sick.

Take care of yourself and you will be back in fighting, kick butt mood in no time!

Hey there surarch

Shoot that stinks that you and your DH are sick. Looks like it's definitely flu season already. Take it easy when you are sick because if you push your workout too hard it will take longer for you to get better.

Hope you both feel better soon!

Quick Post

Hi Ladies !

This is a quick post...I haven't had a chance to read through since my last post.

I just wanted to check in and share that I have not done a JM dvd thus far this week . I just don't have the energy...could I be burnt-out ?

I did Callanetics once this week and I might do it again before the week is over...but I don't know.

I still haven't caught up on all this reading AND to make things worse, I woke up this morning feeling the onset of some type of illness; flu or cold .
People in class have been sick and I hope I don't come down with anything...but I feel like I am running a temp and my throat feels funny.

I will check in later...I miss you ladies and I hope you are doing well .

I did do NMTZ and some total gym exercises today.

Skipped working out yesterday...too drained from dancing and drinking the night before.

I know I can't do JM every day or I will get too burned out and worn out. I am shooting for NMTZ at least 3 times a week and BFBM 2 times a week...I will throw in Turbo Jam and total gym the rest of the time.

I hope you ladies are feeling better. I have not been sick so far this year...knock on wood... but I know that when you get sick it's best to rest up and not push with the workouts.

Hi Ladies,

I hope you all are doing well.

Surbhi: So sorry you and hubby are sick. I thought I was coming dowmn w/something too. I hope you both are feeling better soon . Don't push yourself with the exercise...you've been working hard and your body probably needs rest.

Jacky: You rock!!! I need to follow your new JM schedule....you will have that hot body in no time. You have been so consistent...way to go girlie

I do not have the flu or a cold . It feels like my body is fighting off the cold/flu and it's exhausting. The weather has changed drastically, from hot to cold, cloudy and rainy and in addition to the sick folks in class...I am just doing whatever I can not to get sick.

I do feel like the workout break I took last week was helpful...because I was burnt-out. However, I do NOT feel 100% yet .

I did an hour of Callanetics the other day...but it took every ounce of energy to finish. This morning I woke up and wanted to do NMTZ but could only do 30DS Level 2 . It's my hope to build up my energy to do NMTZ or BFBM tomorrow. I felt good after 30DS but I have to say...I'm worried about how I will feel in class tonight .

I have had to adjust my goals...so here it is

30 DS: 6/6
BFBM: 4/5
NMTZ: 4/5

I wanted to do at least 2 more of NMTZ & BFBM, but I don't think that's feasible and it may be too much pressure. So...we shall see.

I miss you ladies and again I hope you all are well. Thanks for all the love and support thus far . I am so happy we are in this together .

I still haven't thoroughly went through to answer anything or respond yet, but I will as soon as time permits.

Have a wonderful day !!!

I did BFBM today !

It took every bit of energy and I wanted to cut it off several times...but I finished!

30 DS: 6/6
BFBM: 5/5
NMTZ: 4/5

I have to do some reading so I will check in later, after class .

You won't believe this, but I believe our cycles have synchronized !

I hope you get some relief from those killer cramps, Hun !

I usually start around the 20th, but I started late this morning after working out...so weird !!!

I think I am going for NMTZ tomorrow too...but we will see how I feel in the am.

My back was killing me in class this evening.
The midol helped !

Way to push through and do 30DS ! That's awesome .

My apologies for just responding to this sweetie...

Yes, Hubby treated me to an early B-day present (since when did I start wanting exercise materials for my birthday - this is proof I have evolved )

It is more interesting and productive than 10/10. There are many more features, such as Body by Design - where you select the body parts you want to work, as well as a concepts section - where terms are explained through visuals.

There are different exercises than in 10/10...which is refreshing !

There are 3 different Callanetics ladies doing the exercises; beginner, intermediate and advanced - so you are free to follow whomever you chose. It's more up to date of course and seeing Sandra and listening to her voice is really cool b/c we actually communicate and interact w/her through this board . I love their outfits in the video, but they don'thave them at Bebe Sport anymore (I PM'd her about them ).

I have to admit...I have only done it 1.5 times and I've had it for over 2 weeks now. The .5 is because I thought the video was finished . In my opinion, I feel like the video is long . The pulses are shorter than 10/10 (I don't think we go up to 100 in Evolution), but for some reason I can't wait until the end. That's probably why I only did .5 the first time . I really don't know if this has something to do with my burn-out or what.

I know 10/10 by heart and I feel like I can knock that out in no time...but I need a little more time w/Evolution before I can really know how I feel about it.

I know what you mean about not feeling like doing 10/10! I ran into that wall and that's partly why I wanted Evolution, in addition to the fact that I can alteranate the two. I have a discount code if you are intersted and a nice lady (her name escapes me) on the Callanetics thread posted 2 other codes in the August thread that I used and ended up paying $20.69 w/free shipping.

Hi Ladies,

I hope you all are well!!!

I did NMTZ today w/my 5lb weights !

30 DS: 6/6
BFBM: 5/5
NMTZ: 5/5

So, I have reached my adjusted goal, lol!!!

I have no idea where my weight is with all this bloating and water retention !

I felt really great after NMTZ...I think it's my favorite now . 30DS still is a close second with those 20 min workouts ...you can't beat that!!!
I looked in the mirror (which I can see while I am working out if I look left) and I felt like my body looked really good while I was doing those "surrenders" that I can't stand. My waist looked small and my butt looked like it had some pop to it . Did I mention I did 50 twisting walk-out lunges yesterday w/one 5lb weight? I think I forgot to add that to my post, but I must say...after I do those twisting walk-out lunges...my butt pops a little bit. I hope that makes sense...it has more curvature to it and sits up nice and round...just the way I like it !

I might take some measurements tomorrow...but I doubt they will be accurate, the way my tummy looks and feels .

I still feel a little warm...but no fever

Anyway...how are you ladies doing? I miss you and hope you are doing well .

Somebody has a coming this weekend !
Yay Surbhi !!!

Hey there HF!! Glad to see you are feeling better!

Ha ha...NMTZ is my favorite too! BFBM is not..LOL!

Twisting walk out lunges?? How do you do those? Sounds very hard!

My water retention finally ended and I'm down 1 inch in the waist 25 1/2..and 1/4 inch in hips 38 1/4.

I know exactly what you mean about the butt pop... I'm working hard on getting there.

I did NMTZ this morning, and I have some new moves to try on the Total Gym...gonna go try em now.

Happy, Happy, upcoming BDay surarch!!

Hope ya'll have a super day!

Hey Jacky!!!

Oh my goodness...1 inch off the waist and a 1/4 off the hips is incredible . WOW!!! I wish there were more avatars to put here....that is so awesome !!! I am loving your waist measurements...I hope I can get there soon !!!

Congratulations girlie...we are so proud of you. All that hard work and perseverance is really paying off !

Thanks...I still wake up feeling warm, but I am at least able to exercise again!

So, the twist-out walking lunges! Some call it the walking lunge with a twist...

I hold one 5lb weight and positioned straight out it in front of my chest.

With the left leg, you lunge forward until your left thigh is parallel to the floor and your right knee is almost touching the floor (so there should be a straight line from your head through the right knee to the floor). Sink low into the lunge without letting your front knee past the toes.

At the same time, twist your upper body about 90 degrees to the left, keeping the hips stationary. Your left arm should be at a 90 degree angle on the left. Keep your back straight & chest up as you twist.

Twist back to starting position then repeat, stepping forward with the right leg and twisting to the right.

I usually squeeze through the glutes as I am lifting out from the leg lunged forward.

Some of the directions for the exercise was taken from wasusadailyherald.com and more info including a video can be found there. There are other sites that do a better job demonstrating this exercise.

I hope that helps.

Hey ladies...hope everyone had a good weekend!!

surarch... I hope you had a super, duper birthday girlie!!

I slipped fairly big on Sat. My DBF took me out to a very nice restaurant for dinner. He ordered sweet potato fries for an appetizer and I helped him w/those and then I ate some of the mashed potatoes that came w/my salmon. I didn't eat too much, but I still felt bad I ate those carbs....oh well, I've been good since.

Did NMTZ this morning, this is the first time I got through it without feeling like a mac truck hit me so that's progress I guess. I'm still not doing BFBM like I should, I need to just do it instead of thinking about how hard it is for me.

HF...

I tried some of those twisting walk out lunges...that's a waist chiseler for sure! I am definitely adding these to my repertoire!!
Hope you are feeling better sweetie!

Good Afternoon Ladies!!!

I hope you all are well. I did an hour of Callanetics yesterday and this morning I completed another session of NMTZ ! Yeah, buddy...this is like my go to video...I feel amazing after completing it and I can see it is doing wonders for toning up my body !!!

I took some measurements this morning and I lost...

1 inch off of my lower hips (I really believe that my pooch is flattening and my butt is lifting ). This is wonderful because I haven't seen a measurement reduction in this area since 8/6 !

.5 to 1 inch off my thigh (I'm not sure where I measure on my thigh, but either way it's .5-1 inch smaller than it was). I haven't lost anything off my thigh since 7/10.

And finally, I lost .5 inches off of my arm ! I rarely see a measurement reduction in my arm so this is awesome. The last time I saw a reduction in my arms measurement-wise was April !

I have to tell you I feel lighter ...it's amazing .

This is such a wonderful birthday present to myself (tomorrow that is)!!! I have been working really hard this whole year and to see such changes around my birthday is amazing...more than 25lbs lost and more than 23 inches lost . It's absolutely incredible...I am a true testament that with prayer , hardwork, dedication, patience, positive support, exercise and healthier eating you can transform your body.

I am so grateful for you ladies and all your support (especially these past few weeks) and encouragement ...you ladies are the best .

I am looking forward to burning more pounds and inches with you !!!

Yes, I am feeling better. Thank you so much !

I had salmon and mashed potatoes the other day too....

I am not doing BFBM regularly either...it's weird because if I do it too much I feel like it's not working and I start to dread it . However, when I take a break from it and revisit it I get the initial effects of the video as far as heart rate etc. For me, it's better that I take a break from that one !

The twisting walk-out lunges are no joke (I really like them)...I'm glad you tried them and liked them enough to add them repertoire . That body will be hot in no time !
