Hang it there sickos! LOL Seriously, nasty stuff going around so I hope you all feel better.
I did workout #11 today. I haven't weighed in for a while but I'm fitting into my size 14 shorts that I couldn't wear a few weeks ago. Admittedly, I won't wear them out but they are able to be buttoned and zipped without too much of a struggle. Ha! I'm really loving this EA Active. I think it's mostly because my DH is doing it with me. He enjoys the sports and those don't require the leg strap and band so we have no problem working out together. Keeps me accountable and is good for him too. Ozdancer - awesome weight loss. You're sooooo going to make your birthday goal. Lynn - That's still a pretty stringent workout schedule. I'm still in awe over the 60 min. MFC. I wouldn't attempt that even now. LOL Tomorrow is another day and then I have a rest day on Thur. I'm going to really focus on my eating. I'm finding myself allowing certain treats that I wouldn't have a few months ago and I don't want that to spiral out of control. |

I decided that work could wait and did Day 5 on the EA Active, plus another 35 minutes of abs and core-strength yoga poses on the Wii Fit.
Can I just say, alternating lunges with that scissor-switch in the middle -- what the heck? I had to SERIOUSLY modify that or I would have blown out some joints! Felt really great after working out! Ally's Mom -- SIZE 14? Wow. I went to a store yesterday and had the same barely zipped but fit experience with some sixteens ... and I weigh but two pounds more than you. That's what all your working out has won you. KUTGW.

Is it Hump Day already? My gosh...I'm feeling it. I'm so tired today. I did my one hour MFC...focus was lower body. I hates me some squats and lunges and LEG EXTENSIONS! Bleh. But I did it.
The husband works shift work and he's back on graveyards. I don't sleep well, then I have to get up and moving so I can get showered before he has to go to sleep. Sucks. But there you have it. I'm drinking some ice coffee right now, hoping to wake up! Carry on Kids! |

Checking in. Am feeling better today, and was able to be more energetic in my workout this morning and I feel good about that.
Still on plan and doing well. ![]() |

I'm having a WWLD (What Would Lynn Do?) moment...I've been back on track with the exercise, even adding some, eating clean and yet ... up two pounds.
Lynn would point out that these things happen and you just gotta stay the course. She would give herself credit for all her hard work. Okay. Sigh. I want that ONEderland goal so much...but it will wait for me, eh? |

Wrong Lynn!
Okay, if you're all wondering "what's up with Firefly's post" -- in another thread I had an exchange with another Lynn (KillerBlues is her username) about how she is good at setting realistic expectations and giving herself credit. Sorry if I freaked you out, Lynn18 -- although you might well give the same advice! ![]() |

Firefly! Bwahahaha. That was a good one. I was reading that and thinking...What the heck? I'll have to tell the hubs. He could do well to ask that now and again. Hee.
Ok, did my one hour MFC...flexibility today. I'm getting quite proficient at the 'tree' and the 'triangle' poses. Gotta run....busy day today. Carry on Kids! |

How did it get to be Friday? Man.
I got up late this morning and if I wanted to get clean before 6pm, I had to cut back on my workout. Drawbacks of graveyards and sleeping hubbies. Bleh. Did 45 min. of MFC...upper body focus. I tried to lift some heavier weights but it just wasn't happening today. Only made it with the bicep curls. I'm not used to this new schedule yet either. Where is everyone? Having fun I hope. Carry on! |

Almost didn't work out today, but pulled it out and did my EA Active workout just under the wire. It was knowing that I will miss both tomorrow and Sunday (out of town) that did it.
A great weekend to all of you! |

Afternoon, Kids!
Well, I didn't get a workout yesterday. I woke up with a headache that would stop a raging elephant. I hurt bad. The weather changed and I get horrible pressure headaches. I did do 30 min of yoga today. I'm pleased to report that I can deepen into some of the forward folds. My hamstrings are really tight and that makes me happy. Off to clean house now. Carry on! |

Hi everyone, sorry I've been MIA. Though I'd already let you guys know that I'd be away for a few days but doesn't look like I did
.So not sure where I need to catch up from, but looks like everyone is doing well with their exercises. Dawn I hope you are feeling better my now. Did my normal HIIT & lower body workouts Wednesday & Thursday respectively. Used the heavier weights on this workout so am now using 5kgs dumbbells in each hand to do lower body work. I went to stay at my best friends place Thursday, they moved 1hr away so I don't see her very often anymore. Weighed in Thursday morning so I could give her an accurate weight loss . Only a very small loss probably due to the extra weights both lower & upper body but will even out in the wash.Stayed with them for 2 nights and had LOTS to drink both nights (wine night 1 @ vodka night 2). Apart from a very small slice of her oldest son's birthday cake Thursday night, all food was on plan although portions may not have been the best. I was actually surprised that I didn't have cravings or eat naughty food while drunk (so that's an improvement in behaviour). Of course no real exercise for the 2 days, just yoga sunsalutations to not feel like I was doing nothing! Did a HIIT workout Saturday afternoon and my upper body weights workout Sunday morning, so really didn't miss any workouts just did them on different days to normal. Weighed/measured in on Sunday morning and only has a 100g gain from Thursday and some cm lost (waist -2cm) and some gained (legs & arms from the workouts). So all in all I think a good week. Should have better losses this week due to more workouts within the week caused by the weekend shuffle around and I'm planning to do some night time workouts again. I am also working my 2nd job both Wedesday & Friday nights (worked Sunday afternoon too). So I guess by Saturday I'll be exhausted but hopefully with a good loss for the week .Sorry for the essay, back to normal schedule now so can check in each day.

What's everyone doing atm? recording this mornings HIIT workout (1hr). Was feeling a bit coldy last night (runny nose/sneezing) so didn't do the Pilates DVD I had planned on. Feeling OK this morning though.
Went to the Dr for my blood test results yesterday - just had standard bloods done as it's been a long time since they were. My cholesterol is low (of course ), some things that were a little out of wack last time (4yrs ago) are normal now and Dr was very happy with results. Plus I've lost 6.6kg on their scales since last appointment 6 weeks ago. I want their scales - at home on Sunday morning (n8ed & after a BM as you do) I weighed 85.8kg; 5pm yesterday fully dressed I weighed 85kg on their scale! Hey I'll take it but might be a bit dissapointing on Saturday when I weigh at home . |

Hi guys --
I'm back from our weekend out of town -- I haven't worked out since I received the news that a friend's father passed away. I'm hoping to get back in the swing of things soon. I haven't weighed in since Friday, but I expect that I'm continuing my near-stall of losing a few ounces every few days. The inches, though, are going. Pants that were not wear-out worthy last week are now fine. |

congrats firefly on the inches that's the whole point afterall (to be smaller). And just think how much muscle you must be building to fool the scale, which in turn means you are a better calorie burning machine and the woosh will come. WOOHOO.

Morning Kids!
I was a ba-ad girl for the last two days. Monday was just so darn busy I never got around to making time to work out. Tuesday I was just plumb lazy. I got off my hiney this morning though and did an hour of MFC...core focus. Is it wrong of me to want to take a nap? ![]() I think we're in the mid month slump. C'mon everyone....Wii can do eet! |

Lost 2.6 lbs between Friday and today. That eradicates my mystery gain and puts me within 4 ounces of the coveted 199. Wiiiiiiiiiiiii! |

Lynn, good for you for getting back to it today it's all too easy to make excuses when we miss a day or two.
can I take a nap too please? Worked until 11:30 last night, didn't get to bed till 12:30. Consequently no exercise this morning but I will do my workout this afternoon instead.Firefly, fingers crossed you will drop into onederlad very soon. You can do it and once you do there's no turning back - onwards & downwards! Pretty much just treading water here today due to working 7 1/2 hrs @ my day job & 6hrs @ my 2nd job and having about 5 1/2 hrs sleep last night . Oh well, my choice so I can't complain I guess. Just get through it and have a relatively early night. After my workout and going to the shops this evening . |

I've been keeping up with my EA Active workouts. I should finish the 30 day challenge next week so that's good. I played softball this weekend. 5 games in 2 days. I'm way too old and fat for that. I'm still sooooo sore all over from all that running, swinging the bat and throwing the ball. OUCH.
I haven't weighed in for a while but I do know I'm still losing inches so I don't really care about the weight as long as the inches are coming off!!! You all are doing great. KUTGW! |

Ally's Mom -- you are sprinting to the finish line in the 30 day...you put me to shame! I just completed Day 8 today, and the game politely informed me it is now impossible to finish in 30 days, would I like to continue or start over? You will never catch me playing softball. I'm a lousy catcher and I can hit fine when I bat at the cages, but not when I'm on the spot and under pressure.
Oz, you're losing at TV Reality Show rates. Really. And you fit in so much exercise even given your work overload. Bravo; you're a huge inspiration to me. |

Morning!
I actually got up early (more or less) and got my workout finished; 1 hour of MFC...flexibility. I'm bendy~~~ Hee. Today is shopping, errands and the like. Must depart quickly. Everyone is doing so well...I'm very jealous of the weight losses, but I refuse to give in to the evilness of the scale. I'm stubborn that way. Carry on! |

WOOHOO
Firefly - welcome to onederland!!! ![]() on the reality TV show rate comment. Considering the last Bigest Looser show in Australia where one girl was losing 3-5kg a week at the tail end of the program (under 80kg), I don't think I'm quite there! I get me little loss weeks and then a woosh as the body catches up with the work. Actually yesterday I noticed I have decent bicep muscles and muscle definition in my arms now which all helps with the weight loss rate too. If you do the work the results come and I've committed to do the work. Although it's been hard the last couple of days, but if it was easy I wouldn't have gotten fat & unfit in the first place.Gotta make time this weekend to make a new pocketbook for MILs birthday present. I've cut the fabric out, just need to assemble it now. I also bought some upholstry fabric reminants that I want to make pocketbooks out of, I figure the heavier duty fabric would be great for something you use everyday. The dress fabrics won't hold up as well for everyday use (still good for evening/special occassion stuff though). Gonna take advantage of being home this weekend as probably won't be home much in the next month. Hubby is busy studying and needs some piece and quiet so we'll be spending weekend at Mum/Dad's place or my best friends place I think. Hopefully I will wake up early enough tomorrow morning to do my weigh/measure in before DDs gymnastics class, definitely not planning a workout first up tomorrow, will have to be later in the day as I don't expect to be home before 1am tonight! If I don't get it done I will have to weigh in on Sunday which might mean I'm not here until then. If I don't 'see' you all till Sunday have a fantastic weekend. WOOO HOOOOOOOO Firefly!
Isn't is an awesome feeling? btw, have you read the reviews that say about 1/2 of the EA Active discs won't record the end of the 30 day challenge workout? What that means is that for 1/2 of the people, it doesn't save that last day and keeps making you repeat it so it doesn't look like you've ever really completed it! BOO I want that trophy. LOL Lynn - You're the Wii Gumby. LOL Keep doing what you're doing and you'll see those results soon. 1 hour a day is a lot of exercise and it's bound to shock your body soon! Oz - You're keeping late hours! I don't know how you have the energy to keep up that pace. You'll be at goal long before your birthday! |

Congratulations to everyone who has had success in the last couple of weeks.
I have been diligently doing 30 minutes a day with Wii ... either Wii Fit or EA Personal Trainer. I also do some free weight work for 10 to 20 minutes several times a week as well. I had an appointment with the Diabetes Association nurse this week ... and I was discouraged when I went. I have lost 17 pounds ... but sometimes my blood glucose levels are inexplicably on the high side ... and I don't feel that I'm gaining ground as quickly as I ought to be. It would seem that all this work should have a better/quicker payoff ... and the really depressing part is that if I were younger, I really think I would be seeing a better/quicker payoff. *sigh* The nurse, however, was pleased with my progress to date ... or at least that's what she said. I didn't do a Body Test this morning because I just couldn't bear to hear the Wii Fit balance board tell me that I'm obese again. That really gets annoying. I can't believe that I'm looking forward to hearing that I'm "overweight". So ... I'm still plugging away ... and trying to stay positive ... but sometimes it's very hard. Friday again. Time moves, doesn't it?
I did my one hour again this morning...upper body focus. I've got a system now that when it says bicep curls 1 - I use the 5lb weights, curls 2 - 8lb weights and curls 3 - I struggle with the 10lb weights. I also switch out my resistance band for some of the exercises as well, just to keep things interesting. I didn't do a Body Test this morning because I just couldn't bear to hear the Wii Fit balance board tell me that I'm obese again. That really gets annoying. I can't believe that I'm looking forward to hearing that I'm "overweight". Oh Mary! I hear ya. It is so depressing to hear that all the time. I feel the same way every time I step on the stoopid scale and it hasn't moved but a smidge. I just keep telling myself I'm doing something and eventually all this work will show some results. I have to believe it, ya know? Okey dokey kids, I must get busy with my day. Carry on!

Hi ladies, sorry I missed posting yesterday. I had enough time to weigh/measure but not to post!! And hubby didn't budge from the PC the rest of the day
.So, I have to report my weight loss of 1.2kg (2.64lbs) and my WiiFit says I am now OVERWEIGHT!!! Finally I am not obese anymore. Hpjrt, keep working and you will get there too and yes it feels great. I also bought a new pair of pants yesterday in a size 14! They are tight and I won't wear them for a few weeks until they are comfortable but WOOHOO .Hubby is itching to get on the PC today so gotta fly, hope you are all having a good weekend. Oh, BTW I didn't do my u/body weights yesterday (no time with working late Friday & DDs gymnastics early Saturday). I will do this workout today though. |
