Well Vessel to be honest with you, I only have the Beginning Callanetics vhs that I got at a flea market in early November 2005. I have not tried it at all, but will now.

Thanks much.

You got it April my best friend!

Give me all the encouragement you got. I love your encouragement.

Take care and god bless you.

Chris

P.S.-I was afraid that Callanetics was not right for my body at first, but now I will do it for life!

Hey Vessel of Prayer
I LOVE the evos, I think they are a little more challenging than 10/10 there are new positions that really work you and I love the stretches that they do

Hi all~!

I just wanted to know if you could double up on your callanetics sessions per day. If you're up to it, can you do more than one hour of 10/10 per day? Will it matter? Thanks

husband did it

I am on vacation and brought along my dvd of course. Today my very out of shape husband did it. I don't how I talked him into it but I did. He was a good sport although he barely made it through and when he was done, he looked very pale. I think he has a whole new respect for it.

As I say, don't knock it till ya try it!!

Happy Fourth of July!!

You can safely do a second hour per day and I've done this in the past if I wanted speedier result for something special looming up real fast on my calender. I wouldn't recommend it though on a regular basis though.

Can you also split them? I have trouble doing all 100 of the abs exercises at once, so I was wanting to do 50 in the morning, and 50 in the evening (the ones on 10/10). Which warm ups should I do before hand?

For those of you who've already noticed a change from doing Callanetics...where did you notice the changes first? I've been taking measurements, but I don't entirely trust myself to place the tape in the exact same spot, but it seems like my legs are slimming down first in the area just above the knees.....anyone else experience this?

Also, is it better to measure directly after exercise, or after a rest? I only ask because often exercise will cause the muscles to swell a bit initially.

Thanks!

4 hours total, July total 3 of 18!

Bad bad weekend. We had people visiting and every time I tried to do my callanetics I was disturbed. I know I should've explained what it was I was doing but I felt embarrassed.
Ate very badly. Mum's cooking.
Starting again today.

Definetly a difference in my butt and legs. I didn't measure when I began but I had to buy alot of new pants because I can't hold them up anymore!

I was able to 13 sessions in June, so I think I'll try for at least 12 in July. I've already got two hours done this month. The bit with the legs is getting easier.

That's great! How long did it take for you to notice this wonderful change?

I am going to take pictures today...I'm just not trusting my measuring. When I get to ten hours, I'll take some progress pics.

I have to confess that I stayed up WAY TOO LATE last night, reading through past threads. There is so much amazing information here from the instructors and Twyla...plus the experiences people are having are nothing short of incredible. I am so happy this board exists. I have started and stopped Callanetics so many times, but this board is going to keep me motivated...thanks to everyone for keeping it active!!!

Don't be embarrassed...just tell them you have to go workout! Or wait until they go to bed! I finally had to stand up to my husband and tell him that this is what I'm doing...he keeps prodding me to do P90X but darnit, I don't want to! Callan works and I'm sticking to it! In a few weeks, the results will speak for themselves!

Mo
(wow, that was a lot of exclamation points...guess I'm getting addicted!

Hi all:
Summary since my last post - need to keep myself accountable to the group:

Wed: cardio day - hip hop abs
Thurs: Evolution
Friday: Supposed to be cardio - just did about 20 minutes though - goal is an hour
Saturday: Unexpected BBQ at my house but I did get the Am portion of callanetics in.
Sunday: I did the pm portion.

Monday planning on doing cardio and possibly a callanetic workout. Eating on Sunday was not stellar. Chinese for lunch and pizza for dinner.

New week and its Monday!
