Does anybody use a rebounder for exercise?

I like to mix up my exercise routine. I bought a rebounder (mini trampoline) because you can exercise in a small space. It came with a DVD that I'm not really fond of. Does anybody have any recommendations for a good rebounder workout DVD?

OOh I used to love my rebounder. I got both my rebounder and the videos at urbanrebounder dot com. My favorite workout was the "Intermediate Workout." (green case)

I did eventually sell it when I moved and joined the gym---but I regret it & wish I still had it.

I have a rebounder, but I don't use it. The ONE time I tried, the large, 4-footed animal who allows me to live with him tried to play the game "get the feet". And he has SHARP teeth.

So that stopped QUICKLY.

I just do a bounce/jog thing on it while watching TV or I do a Walk Away the Pounds dvd. I haven't been able to use it lately due to some knee problems but I'm hoping to get back to it soon...

I used to have a rebounder and will have another one again soon! (I donated it during the huge purge prior to moving, thinking that I'll just take walks instead. Not the same, I really miss it.) It's a wonderful way to work out and get the heart rate up. An added benefit is that it is very helpful in draining the lymph system. I didn't have a DVD, just "jogged" in place for 15 minutes - amazingly effective. I've looked at DVD's - here's an Amazon page of them: Amazon.com: trampoline exercise dvd with user ratings.

By the way Suzabelle...cute haircut!

I Have Never Used One But I Don't Know How Much Pounds You Will Loose With That.
I am really proud of you that you want to have a better body and get back in shape, but start getting more knowledge about better things that are out there.

You can start doing body weight exercises that are working really well for people. Or running is the best exercise to loose a couple of pounds.

You can loose weigh by doing regular exercises and not by wasting you money on that
No mean to be rude, but I don't know if that rebounder will do anything.

I wish you the best

Love my Needak

I learned about rebounding when I read one of Ann Louise Gittleman's books. I think the title is Fat Flush. I bought a Needak. it was $200 or $300...and I LOVE it. I just jump on it, or put on my MP3 player and dance (still more like jumping or just shifting your weight from left to right).

You can get quite a workout from it, and it's fun.

I've got a Needak, too! I'm going to get started on it again today! It's a great way to get a workout for those that can't run or do other high impact workouts!

I'm new to this so please bear with me. I love jogging on my mini tramp. Do most folks use it with another form of exercise or is it the only form of exercise you use?

Unfortunately I'm a TV head. I could easily be a couch potato and am more than I should be. I love to walk outside, but when I use my mini tramp I just watch shows that I've dvr'd. When I fast forward through a commercial that is when I do straight jumps, jumping jacks, increase jog, then go back to jogging when my show comes on. Urban rebounder has a lot dvd's if you like dvd's. Several different options come on the dvd's like kick boxing, dancing, aerobics etc etc

I do the same thing!! I've also started a movie, watched it for 30-40 minutes while I rebound. That motivates me to exercise the next day so I can see what happens next in the movie.

Hey, there's no shame in liking TV. Most people say they don't watch, but they do!!

I like my rebounder too.

I have had a cheapo Walmart one for years and I keep waiting for it to break so I can buy a better one. I just jog on mine. I haven't used it for a while so I'm slowly building my time back up.

Ok, so glad I saw this challenge today!

Today, I dragged my mini-trampoline in from the garage today and plan to use it for at least 15 minutes (starting out again) in front of the TV in the evening.

I usually walk early in the am on the weekends, (before 7am as it gets so hot here), butr have to be to work too early to walk every day.

LSJS, when I was regularly re-bounding, using the toning tapes, and added a few light weights for my upper body, I could really see the scale moving and my shape changing.

Your Urban rebounder tapes sound fun.

Ok, I am joining this challenge, so do count me in.

hi

So how have you done for the last 2 weeks? I too like to walk in the morning, but now is very dark at 5:00 a.m. so using the rebounder on work mornings until time changes.

I got motivated reading this and ordered a used Intermed rebounding dvd. Hope it helps just spice things up. I would love to hear from more folks on if this is working for them.

I got a couple of my aerobic dvds out and did those to change things up. Thanks for the idea.

Hi, the last two weeks, I have been lax in getting on the re-bounder as I hurt my ankle, (soreness) stepping down wrong on it at work.

I decided to allow it to heal before trying it again.

I think I will start again soon, I am going to try for a few minutes tomarrow.
I have kept up with my toning exercises, however.

How is everybody else doing?

I'm doing more weight-lifting than rebounding. However, I "HITT" the rebounder 2-3 times per week for about 45 minutes at a time.

Keep it up everyone!!
