What's on your MP3 Player?

I need some new tunes for running. Tell me some of your favorite up beat tunes, new or old.

I have some Social Distortion that's good (Reach for the Sky, Don't Take Me for Granted, Far Behind (?))--found those on a biking guy's blog on his list of good songs. Also, When the River Runs Dry by Hunters and Collectors (an old song that I like that finally just came out on iTunes), Kryptonite (3 Doors Down), and my strangest "psych up/workout song"--Delilah by Tom Jones!

The tunes on my mp3 vary. It just depends on how I feel that day. I love to listen to 70's music, also some of the hair bands, and sometimes new age music.

I love old school rap and 80's...but it's hard to find a good beat to run to. Working in the gym is no problem, I just listen to keep my mind busy. Running, though...I need something to keep me motivated.

I like Apollo 440, and the Crystal Method for fast paced stuff. Gotan Project (dub tango) has some great tracks ranging from slow to fast if you want something cool that is a bit different. Also a local group call the Mess Hall has the most awesome up energy music, just feels wrong to not move your body when you listen.

In Amazon.com/mp3, you can type "running music" in the search tool, and it will pop up all sorts of different tunes! I did a search for walking music in the same way and got lots of great beats to walk to!

Hey I wanted to share that I was on a quest for walking music last year and I downloaded a program called "Mixmeister" from download.cnet.com. It looked at all of my MP3s and organized them by Beats Per Minute. So I could make mixes that would keep me at 3 miles an hour, 3.5, 4.0, whatever.

The software was accurate most of the time... once in awhile it would throw in a super slow song by accident but it was easy to just skip that song or delete it from the playlist. Also I was worried about viruses etc but my computer has remained virus free still.

So it's not exactly what you were looking for but hopefully it helps anyways?

My music is kind of cheesy but I LOVE IT!

I just want to love you baby ~ justin timberlake (walking -warm up song)
Dirrty ~ Christina Agulara (i love that song)
Girlfriend ~ avril lavigne
Circus ~ britney spears
Womanizer ~ Britney spears
Toxic ~ Britney spears

(no I'm not 16.. LOL I'm 28 but I love to keep pace with those songs. LOL since I'm VERY new to running I have to find something I can keep up with..) I'm sure those will change but for now it works!

Not really, I think it has something to do with some security software(Norton) which I tried to load and was never able to fully get rid of it. I keep thinking I'll reformat my hard drive, but just dread it, but I'd really like to have a MP3 player.

anything '80s and early '90s will work.
