I think we are the only ones here.

I like your quote! Quite true.

[COLOR="Indigo"]Hi Qbert,

I love the water... it is like flying!

I went swimming on Friday after being away from the pool for two weeks. I swam 40 laps and did upper and lower body workouts. I was amazed that I managed to do 40 laps after being away for so long

My muscles hurt, but it was worth it.

Monday, it is back to morning laps and water aerobics class.

I'm thinking of getting one of those mp3s by Speedo for the pool. I would only do it for free distance workouts cause I think it would be way to distracting for any other stroke. Do you use one or know any swimmers who use mp3s?

In the earlier thread, someone mentioned a kick board. What is a kick board? I'm still contemplating an Endless Pool or their new product, the Waterwell (smaller and cheaper that the pool, with underwater treadmill).

New swimmer here. Swam 800 meters freestyle timed last night and then finished with 800 meters several different drills to work on technique.

Oh my goodness! I love swimming. It is one of my favorite activities. I always swam all my life. I'm good at diving too.

Hey qbert, those speedo mp3s sound cool. Would love one myself.

Hi Chris, I have been swimming all my life to, either in a pool or the ocean. I grew up on the Gulf of Mexico coast in west Florida. I love the beaches. We now live on minutes from the beach, just across the bridge so we go there alot now and just walk and enjoy it.

I do swim everyday. We have our own inground pool in the back yard and its so nice.
I guess we have something in common, I was on my high schools swim and dive team to and was pretty good at it I think. But that was many years ago when I was alot younger.
Cannot dive like that anymore so I just swim.

Nice to have you join us here.

Hello Mary. Happy 4th of July to you! How are you? Me, I feel great!

Yes we do have alot in common.

I always swam at the beach and in the pool, even tho I don't have a pool at this time. Looking for one soon.

Oh dear, I wish I was on a swim team. Would've been fun. But it's not too late to join one now, is it?

Well I always love hearing from you.

Take care and god bless you my friend.

Warmly yours,
Chris

Chris I use to have so much fun with the swim team I was on. We would have swim meets against other swim teams to. We never really was that good but had so much fun anyway.
I just cannot live in a house that does not have a pool. I would feel like a fish out of water if i could not swim everyday.

I do love the beach to and we live very close to our beach here on the Gulf. I do get in the ocean and swim some to when I go to the beach and love to walk the beach to and pick up seashells and just walk for the exercises. For some reason walking in the white sand just feels good.

Hope you had a nice 4th. of July.
