It's Summer Babes - what's your tune for JUNE?
Are you still singing that tired old still-trying-to-find-time-to-workout song?
![]() You know who you are. ![]() If Oprah showed up on your town square every evening at 6pm and patiently handed out $50 bills to anyone who showed up, you'd find a way to get your arse down there and you'd find a way to work around your family's schedule in order to snatch that bill outta her hand, too. Yeah, I made it $50 instead of $500 'cos that really wouldn't be a fair comparison. If Oprah was giving out $500 every day, you'd let your puppy babysit so you could get down there, right? So if you'd dash to your town square to wait in line for at least an hour every day for $350 a week, why can't you find that hour a day to invest for the longer run?? The payoff at the end of every month has got to be worth more emotionally to a "fit and trim" you than $1500 would be to a defeated and overweight you. Isn't it? Of course it is.So Babes ... summer is now or never. You've got to be able to come out of the winter clothes, show some skin and feel good about what you're revealing. Toned arms, ab lines showing bit by bit, muscular legs - shopping in stores that specialize in single digit sizes, walking down the street tossing your hair and stylin' ... it doesn't have to be a sigh inducing unattainable dream. But you gotta pay the piper. Everything costs. The price is really cheap. An hour a day at least 3 days per week. If you can do 6 or 7 days, your results will be faster and the payoff bigger. But every little bit helps. An hour a week beats doing nothing but complaining any day. Summer is here. It isn't waiting. Are you hiding or showing off your hard work this summer. Choose now. ![]() Random photo from a P90X Before/After ... "Jodi" ... she found the time and look at her payoff. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Last night was LEAN Phase, Circuit 1 and it was so much harder than I thought it would be! I enjoyed it and was so happy Donna shut up during this workout.
I can't stand her running commentary in PUSH phase and I want to throw a dumbbell at her. My bum is so sore and my hamstrings are squealing. I ChaleneTonight, I'm going to do Kenpo X and tomorrow is LEAN Circuit 2. Made veggie chicken pasta and brought it for lunch today. I'm really leaning out the diet this month, too. ![]() |

Hey babes!
![]() Happy June! ![]() So Donna yaps off during Push, eh? I've only done Push 1 and 2 so far and I didn't notice it ... Tonite is the cardio and then Push 3 tomorrow and recharge on Thurs. So yes, I've scheduled in my exercise (hopefully Oprah will show up in my basement gym area with some cash since I won't be meeting her in the town square ) Hoping to see good results this month - just got to better monitor/control what I put in my mouth. ![]() |

LadyB - Great way to start off the month! LOL at Donna being shut off in Lean. Yeah, she drove me crazy in Push. Lean is so intense!
Pep - I feel you about the trouble zones. Keep at it and they will shrink ![]() Amanda - DD and I were just talking yesterday about reading the Harry Potter series. She wants to finish Twilight first ![]() Dorothy - I did DS as well yesterday and my triceps are SORE today. Who would have thought that the little four pound weights would make them sore after using 12 pounds during CLX! |

Glad it wasn't just me annoyed with Donna, Emily!
![]() Pep, it is going to make you crazy, "You can do it!" "C'mon Chalene!!!" "I'm using 10lbs and I'm absolutely feeling it!!!!" "Let's go! Let's go!" "Love it! Love it!" "Let's do it, Chalene!" "C'mon Janelle!" She was like a fountain that did not stop until all the words dried up. You will know what we're talking about. You're exhausted, sweating, tired and trying to concentrate and Donna chiming in every 10 seconds. ![]() Katie is like that in P90X ... ![]() |

*yawn* I am sooooo tired.
Did Cardio Party 1 and Ab Jam (instead of the Chalene cardio for CLX) last night. Great workouts, btw. ![]() But lately I'm am sooo beat in the mornings. I feel like I was hit by a truck. I could sleep 12 hours. I have NO idea how people manage to workout like at this pace forever. Oy. |

Push wore me the heck out Pep. I felt like I was tired all the time, but I did have changes. When you get to Lean, your energy level will come back a bit
![]() I slept in this morning. It's the 3rd day of June and I've already worked out 165 minutes this morning. I'll go for a walk during lunch and do Classical Stretch tonight. Tomorrow is TBM FF. I have to do Lean 1 on Friday. I'm rotating the CLX's and doing one a week to help maintain my results. |

Emily, you are so strong, I think you could easily do P90X; however, it is brutal on your body and you are tired/exhausted/sore all the damned time.
Your body does take a pounding but you do get strong. Once I'm done with CLX I may do P90X Lean instead of Classic this time around. As long as Donna isn't yappin' in my ear, CLX LEAN phase may be a good phase. ![]() Last edited by LadyBeloved; 06-03-2009 at 08:00 AM.. |

Toni has seven kids that came out of that amazing to die for bod. Yes, she had a single, then twins, then quadruplets. If she can find the time to work out ... ![]() And Janelle, who is Chalene's sister, is low key and awesome. The other gal I can't remember but none of them combined yaps more than Donna does in one workout. Tomorrow Lean circuit 2. Hopefully, Donna is wearing duct tape around her mouth. ![]() |

I did not work out yesterday and will not do it today.
I am sitting down today to figure out a new menu.Yesterday, I was inspired by MagaMa's message about one of the salad dressings in the P90X meal book - I found the recipe, hit the market and took a filet out of the freezer. I made a light salad from Chalene's book (romaine, boiled eggs, cucumber, a pinch of shredded parmesan), grilled the filet and used less than 1/3 of it over the salad. I made the dressing and lightly drizzled it over the salad. *thud* I'm changing my eating plan a little, doing some errands then I'm going to do some cleaning then sit down and knit for a while. ![]() And I have no guilt about not working out. I'll make up for it tomorrow. ![]() |

Oy - yes today will be a rest day after all. Shoulder aches. Latest of the body parts to protest CLX.
DH (Dr Seuss ) says my clavicle is smavicle. ![]() Hey we have a garden too! Tomatoes - tons of flowers and the tomatoes are just forming, Cucumbers - ditto - lil cukes are just forming, Squash, Lettuce (oh *tons* of lettuce), Snap Peas, Brocoli, and several patches of Strawberries (they didn't do too well last year, but they're making up for it this year - we pull about 12 off a day.) I love being married to a farm boy. I told him yesterday he could stick a twig in the ground and grow a tree. Did I mention he cooks? ![]() Hey where's Ms Dorth hiding? ![]() |

Happy Monday, my Babes.
![]() Had 10 yards of mulch delivered on Friday morning.....so my weekend workout consisted of moving it ALL. WITH. A. WHEELBARROW. UPHILL. I actually had it all moved on Saturday....so yesterday was a day of rest (spent hungover - DOH!). My quads, glutes and back are feeling achy in a good way. I should feel it in my triceps too but do not. I did a bunch of perennial planting and dug out a few shrubs too. I think Mr. Tony Horton would approve of my alternative workout (but not the part that led to the hangover. )Hope you all have a great week this week! It's typical busy for our week ahead here. XO, D.

Hey babes!
Taking an unscheduled rest day today. Feeling crampy. My body has decided that since there's a 13 YO girl in the house, it has to try and compete. So now my once every 6 months periods are now coming every month again. Just when I was settling in to the idea of menopause. ![]() |

It has been rainy every day, I am trying not to think about the weeds that are growing so well in the garden. I get a date tonight. My mom is bringing shelves for the kids rooms tomorrow, so they have to clean so we can put them in. DH is making me more food storage shelves today. I have been adding a little exercise here and there and firming up. I want to ride my bike, but rain. I just finished a book called Soiled Doves: Prostitution of the early West.

I love love love love love Chalene.
Her mom is a pistol, too. She asked if I was going to Turbo Jam camp in August. I want to but I probably can't get away. I have not worked out in 5 days and I do not feel guilty at all. I enjoyed my week off. Tomorrow is back to business with LEAN. Amanda, it is nothing but rain here, too. The next 10 days are going to be rainy with maybe 2 days of sun and warmth then more rainy days. The summer will be over by the time all this rain and cold and dreariness ends. ![]() *rubs eyes with knuckles* Dorth? Was that masked woman Dorth? ![]() |
