Hi X'ers

I did Cardio X last night, great workout. My shoulder is doing so much better. It bothers me most when I wake up in the morning from sleeping on it. It burns for about a half hour and then seems to go away. Today is a rest day, first one in a week and half. We are heading out of town this afternoon.

rcagle - I know exactly what you mean You are going to kick some butt in Phase II

H20 - You are doing to kick some butt doing doubles!!

Have a great weekend and Happy Mother's Day to all of our P90X Mom's

Wow, feels like I've been gone from here for a long time. H20: congrats on your 90 day graduation - looking forward to seeing your photos and can't believe you're going to do doubles. You are amazing

Dorothy: is this recovery week for you? are you switching to classic or staying with lean?

Kajun: your enthusiasm is contagious

Niki's Mom: glad to hear your shoulder is feeling better

LadyB: are you finishing P90X or did you switch to CLX?

Everyone else: keep pushing play

I did core yesterday morning and krav last night. Back and biceps this morning. Felt great. Having issues with my hip lately. Maybe some yoga tomorrow will fix things up.

Have a great weekend everyone.

Going to try and See the new Star Trek tonight. Really looking forward to it as I've heard it is awesome.

Kajun, those numbers are stressin' me out.

Thanks for the Star Trek reminder - each new ST movie, my best friend, her dad and I go to see it so I just gave them a push.

Chalene for the last 3 days, tomorrow morning, believe it or not, I may do Yoga X ...

I'm going to dinner with some LCF Playground friends tonight but when I get back, I may do KenpoX with H20's weighted glove idea.

Have a happy Friday night!!

Hey everybody! Rocked Kenpo Cardio X+ this morning. This was my second time through it so I had the moves down and was able to really go all out for it. Man it is amazing how worn out you can get in 30 short minutes when it is non-stop. I love the combo of the punches and kicks. Kenpo X is fun but much more of a moves training DVD. This one takes it to the next level.

I went to see Star Trek last night and all I can say is WOW! It was so respectful of the original series, the actors all did a fantastic job, and the story was absolutely incredible. That is one movie I'll be seeing quite a few times before all is said and done. If you are looking for a fun two hours, I highly recommend it.

I'll be out doing the whole grass-cutting thing later on today and perhaps a nice bike ride.

Hey gurlie! Sorry I did not see your post!

I have 3 weeks left of the X but I switched back to CLX this morning after a few days of various Turbo Jams.

One thing I can say about the X is how much stronger I am. I picked up the 20lbs weights to move them closer and they felt like almost nothing.

I began the PUSH phase and after an hour a pop with Tony, the 40 minutes flew BUT I was drenched in sweat when I was done. Just drenched and I felt goood.

So I'm going to finish up CLX with a few X workouts thrown in for extra cardio - love the Kenpo and Plyo and the Yoga is calling me although why I'm not sure 'cos I still don't love it. But I won't fight it, I'm going with the vinyasa flow.

I'm heading out to the market to restock the fridge since Chalene's eats are a bit leaner than Tony's ... Have a wonderful, wonderful Saturday!

Kajun, I cannot wait to see Star Trek! Glad to hear the glowing review. One thing for sure about the Star Trek franchise - they completely respect all that came before. They don't do any freaky, strange follow ups that do not honor the original characters and storylines. I think it's why the franchise has such staying power. Like the Law & Order franchise. Really well done each time.

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY! I had a relaxing round of X Stretch this morning and am about to go cut the grass since I did not get the chance yesterday. We are going to Outback this afternoon for Mother's Day early dinner. I'm a little disappointed in that Outback apparently does not offer the nutrition info on their dishes so I may just end up getting a grilled chicken cesear salad with veggies or something along those lines. It'll be my last time going to Outback, after this revelation, and I would not go tonight if not for the Mom's Day request by Gisele.

Anyone heard from Dorth lately? It has been a while since she posted.

MagaMa - I'll be going back to see Star Trek again a few times before it leaves the theatres.

Have a great day all.

Happy Mother's Day Ladies & Happy Sunday Gents,

Friday night was Chest, Shoulders and Triceps & ARX. The first time and boy did I feel it. Yesterday was Yard X, 4 hours of shoveling and spreading mulch while DH was relaxing in his recliner. Today was Back and Biceps & ARX. I'm still very tender from the previous 2 days. Hope everyone has a great day.

Of the 3, the daily plate is the only one providing any numbers - and I'm not sure where they get them from since Outback themselves say they "cannot provide numbers as all items are prepared by hand and any numbers would not be accurate."

Daily Plate has the side cesar salad at 638 calories with 63 grams of fat. So they are estimating over 12 tablespoons of ceasr dressing on their small side salad?!? I know they slather the dressing on, but 12 TBSP... I cannot believe that is anywhere close to accurate. There would have to be a puddle at the bottom of the bowl.

Thanks for the info but I don't see how I can take these numbers at face value, with Outback's stated position on providing the info.

Hey, I didn't write the numbers nor do I stand behind the numbers; I just hit the search button. Take it with a grain of salt.

Oh I know. Just frustrated with places like Outback who don't provide this kind of crucial info.

I did Chest, Shoulders & Back + ARX today, it felt really good to get back into the weights. I am not ready for push ups yet so I modified with various exercises like chest press and flies with dumbells on the floor and some lateral raises. My shoulder is tolerating the weights very well

Good Monday morning everyone!

I'm a little late with these but here are my 90 day photos. And like Ladyb, I can't believe how much my strength has increased. I'm well into my second round of the program at this point and doing Chest/Back yesterday I was stunned at how many standard (non-girlie) push-ups I was able to pump out, keeping up with Tony and the kids. This time back in the beginning of February I was collapsing onto the floor, barely managing a half-push-up, let alone a full one. P90X has also been doing a number on my stubborn pooch (in a good way) in that it is deflating finally.

Great day everybody! I crushed Road Warrior and Abs/Core X+ this morning.

Goddess - Those are FANTASTIC 90 day results! I know you are extremely proud of all your wins both visually as well as functionally. You are living proof of what dedication and determination can result. I can't wait to see where you go from here.

Good evening fellow X'ers,

H2O - Awesome pics, girlfriend. Isn't the human body amazing?? We can just mold it like playdo, well kinda KUTGW, your a walking billboard for P90X.

NikisMom - Good to hear the shoulder is cooperating.

KajunDC - My DH loves Outback, the only thing I eat is a chicken breast and broccoli and I ask the waitress 10 times did you write down no butter on anything???? They get it right about 1/2 the time. I was watching the Today show, there was a segment on restaurants. The salmon w/broccoli from Outback had 1600 calories and an ungodly amount of sodium, a normal person would think that was a healthy choice, but not so.

Yoga X is done, sometimes I think it's harder than any of the other work-outs.

Have a great evening everyone.

Hi X'ers

H20 - Amazing results girl, you should be SO proud!!

rcagle - Yoga X is an acquired taste

Today was Plyo, did great!! First time that I didn't have to extend a few of the water breaks My shoulder is doing great, it feels good to have normal sorness instead of injured soreness.

Thanks lovely compliments guys. I'm smiling over here because I've come such a long way over this past year, specifically this past three months. This time last year the only exercise I was doing was 20 minutes of cardio three times a week, and was dreading doing even that little bit of exercise. What a difference P90X has made not only physically, but mentally also. I think nothing of putting in six days a week of rigorous, intense exercise, and would feel lost without it. Thanks to P90X my mindset has changed so much - I have finally reached the point in my life where the scale means nothing to me anymore. It is sitting in a corner in my apartment collecting dust at this point.

Kajun: I'm looking forward to the rest of this journey. With P90X Plus not too far off in the distance I should be able to acheive the goals I've set for my body well before this year is over.

Rcagle, I agree, the body is quite capable of being transformed into something completely different because of exercise. P90X has given me proof of that. So I guess I'll just have to keep pushing play.

Also, those Outback calorie/sodium counts are INSANE!! WOW! I've been leary of eating out for just this reason. I barely eat at restaurants at all.

Plyo last night - loved every second of it. Good to hear of your advances with this workout Nikismom.

Shoulders/Arms tonight. Can't wait!

FANTASTIC day, everybody! I blew Plyo X out of the water this morning... according to my Heart Rate Monitor I burned almost 800 calories, which is over 100 more than I've ever burned while doing it to date. It is amazing how just a little deeper bend in the squats and a little higher jump can increase the calorie burn so much. Man, that is such a fun routine.

Niki'sMom- I am glad to hear the shoulder is so much better... and glad to have you back on the program.

Have a great day.

H20Goddess: Great Results. You can really see the changes in your abs, your waistline, the definition in your arms. Fantastic. You've done an amazing job. I love your enthusiasm. I heard you mention doing doubles - are you?

I have not put my scale away but the numbers aren't as important to me as how I feel. I did shoulders and arms yesterday morning and krav last night. I've struggled with side kicks but yesterday I felt like I had more height and power than I've had for a long time. I came home and did ARX and then a new 2 minute routine with a band to strengthen my hips followed by a little relaxing yoga (not yoga X ). When I fell into bed I felt so good, nothing in my body hurt. Yeah!!!

I may have to do several more rounds of P90X before I see all the results I want but as long as I am feeling stronger and more flexible, I will stick with it. Hope you all do too as this journey is definitely easier with your support.

MagaMa - thanks for the clip. I've got to approach yoga w/a different frame of mind, for me yoga is hard and painful, thanks to "arthur" in the neck.

Last night was Legs & Back, 3 unassisted chin-ups, slowly but surely Why can I do chin-ups but I can't perform an unassisted forward grip anything??????

Rest day for me, have a fabulous "Hump Day" X'ers.

Thanks for the kind words Magma. Enthusiasm is the thing that keeps me motivated.

And yes...doubles for it me it is.

I agree with you one hundred percent on that. Although it's off to a really good start, I know my abdominal area will be the very last thing to tighten up the way I want it to. Meanwhile I know it's getting there, not to mention how much more flexible I've become, and how much my strength has increased. I mean I am doing real push-ups and (even a few) real pull-ups now??? I would have never believed I'd have come this far.

Can only watch the Yoga vid with Tony but can't hear him talking since I'm at work and don't have speakers. Anyway, whatever he's saying I'm sure it's hilarious.

rcagle: What day of the program are you on anyway? Enjoy your rest day!

Great day everybody! Been busy the last couple of days and haven't had much time to post. Gave a talk this morning and will be giving one this evening on nutrition and weight loss at my office. I can't wait!

I did Just Arms and Killer Abs yesterday. Man my biceps are continuing to get stronger and stronger. I went up on most weights yesterday. I think the forearm concentration in this routine is really increasing my overall arm strength.

Today was Yoga X. Tomorrow I am doing Legs and Back along with Shaun T.'s new workout preview of INSANITY! that came with this month's One on One DVD. INSANITY! really is just that. The preview is 40 minutes of HIGH INTENSITY aerobic exercises. (3.5 minutes all out with 30 seconds recovery) How Insane you ask? Well, Shaun has about 15 people working out behind him and over half of them drop out of the reps at different points along the way due to sheer exhaustion and rejoin when they can. I have NEVER seen a DVD where the guys working out in the background drop like flies! I cannot wait until the full 10 DVD INSANITY program is released in June or July. I also cannot wait to sink my teeth into the preview tomorrow. After Legs and Back X then Ab/Core X+, it's going to be a HUGE challenge!

RCagle - I was about to post what a fancy looking toilet you have

Hope everyone has a great rest-of-the-day!

Good morning everyone!

And speaking of which, where are all my fellow X'ers?? I miss you all.

Kajun: Good for you, having the opportunity to give a talk on healthy eating and weightloss to your coworkers. I enjoy spreading the good word to my coworkers, friends and family members about the benefits of exercising and eating healthy. And when they see your results they can't deny that what you say is true.

I can just imagine how much stronger your biceps are getting. Good for you on increasing the weights.

You got free preview workout dvd of Insanity?? Awesome. Last month I saw a short preview video clip of it online and all I can say is that it looks pure insanity FOR SURE! Amazing stuff! Doesn't stop me from wanting to try it out one of these days though. Looks great.

Well it just dawned on my last evening that I am literally two more weeks away from entering phase 2 of my second round of the X. Amazing how time flies, isn't it?

Kenpo X tonight. T'will be a blast as always! LOL

X Stretch and Krav yesterday. Krav kicked my butt. Cardio today.

H20Goddess: I had the same thought - where is everybody?????

Kajun: you've made me think I want to add variety to my workout some time in the future. I'm thinking of trying Tony's 10 minute trainer for the days when I just can't fit an hour into my schedule. Have you tried any of those?

GREAT day everybody! Let me start by saying OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWWWW! INSANITY, especially after Legs and Back and then Abs/Core X+ kicked my rear today. (I did take a 1/2 hour break in between the first two and insanity but that really was not long enough for the intensity of insanity.) I was sucking wind by the end and had a very difficult time trying to keep up. If the whole thing when it is released is anything like the 40 minute sneak preview... well, my cardio workouts will definitely be taken to the next level. My heart rate today only reached 151 as a max - due to my fatigue from the previous workouts. I plan to do it again tomorrow before I do the Kenpo/Cardio X+ now that I know what moves to do to really see what all I can do during it.

MagaMa - I do not have the Tony 10-minute Trainer. On one of the one to one's he mentions the workouts being a ton of combo moves with many performed on one leg - to get the core worked in there as well. He said that with only 10-minutes, each exercise has to encorporate as many muscles as possible. I just don't see how a 10-minute workout would even get my heart rate up at this point, which is why I have not invested in them. But Tony has not disappointed me with any of his workouts yet so I'm sure they are worth it. INSANITY will definitely be my next investment, though.

I too am wondering where all our bretheren have gone. I expected to lose a few along the way - but I also thought we'd pick up some new blood as well. I don't know where Dorth went. She graduated and then kind of left the thread. I hope we hit on a few more people here soon or have a few of the old group show back up to check in.
