APRIL 2009 CALLANETICS Challange!

2 Attachment(s)
Well, I am very encouraged with my 19 times callanetics results in March. So I wanted to start the thread by sharing my progress pictures:blush:. Before pictures were taken on March 1st and after pictures were taken this morning. I know I still have long ways to go but this is what callanetics can do only in a month!! I can't wait to see what's gonna happen in three months!

My challange for April is at least 12 times callanetics and as much as I can fit cardio.

Thank you everybody, each one of you have been GREAT motivation:hugs:

Have a great month with full of Callanetics :high5:

What is Callanetics?

Callanetics is a revolutionary and unique exercise system first created by American fitness guru Callan Pinckney in the late 70’s. It works by isolating specific muscle groups and working them intensely with tiny, precise but deep and powerful movements. This produces visible results incredibly fast. Callanetics tightens and reshapes the entire body whilst significantly increasing stamina and flexibility.

Wow Rana - your transformation is fantastic! Fabulous!
Just popping by to say I hope you all have a fab April. I'm going in tomorrow so I shall not be doing any Callanetics for a while. I will keep popping by tho to check out the thread - you all keep me so motivated so I'm hoping the positivity on this thread will have an effect on my recovery and make it quick.

Happy pulsing everyone!

Thanks for sharing your progress with us.
I just did my first hour yesterday. I loved it. I would love to join the challenge, if I may..

I'm in for at least 10 this month, hopefully more but at least 10.

Kerry 04-01-2009 05:59 AM

rana i hope u dont mind be saying but your butt is adorable! i hope my booty looks that good in 9 more hrs...

ok this month i want to do 10 hrs of 10 in 10 (or if i can get evolution)

Glamour P! 04-01-2009 06:03 AM

Kerry - I highly recommend Evolution. As much as Callan Pinckney is amazing for bringing us Callanetics. - as the title suggests over time Callanetics has evolved. The wonderful Sandra explains counterpulls, pulses, pelvic tightening and all else so very well. She is highly motivating. And on top of that she is here if we need anything. Its a fab dvd and I can't wait to get back in to it!

OMG!!! You did that in a MONTH? Talk about some motivation!

Ok, I said I was in for 12, but after seeing those, I'm gonna try for more. I am also going to take pics tonight so that I can have some kind of evidence of the progress without using a scale. Won't promise to post them cause I am too self-conscious, but you never know.

BARGAINHUNTER! 04-01-2009 06:22 AM

Wow! Those pictures are certainly motivating! Did you dtake any measurements - would be interested in seeing how many inches you lost, and from where. Are you dieting too?

Anyway, i have checked my calender for April, and have come up with a plan and written it in my diary, so hopefully I will be more inclinded to stick with it! doing my callanetics has become a routine now, so I don't need to watch the video while I do it (I have drawn myself up a prompt sheet with name of the exercise and number of reps) so I tend to do them whilst watching telly, therefore not taking any extra time out of my day!

Anyway, I have decided that now I have managed to sort out the Callanetics, and I know that I can get these done relatively easily i need to concentrate on the cardio a bit more, and seeing as the evenings are getting lighter i can do this by doing some running outside!

So - targets for April 2009 for me are 18 x Callanetics, 5 x Aerobics, 14 x runs 7x gym

Rana, thumbs up for you  The difference is remarkable !!!
Keep going and you will wipe everyone of their feet at the wedding :D

I am aiming for 8 hours of callanetics this month. Will try a couple of new programs as well, so will see how I get along.

Have a great april everyone - SPRING IS COMING !!!

Rana, those pics are fabulous! Thank you for sharing - you have inspired me so much!

Now that April has started, I plan on really holding myself accountable and reporting in my progress often.

My goal:

Cardio 10 x for the month (so at least twice a week)

12 Callan from 10 in 10, and hopefully, 5 Evolution

Hi Everyone,
I'm new to the board, and to Callanetics. I just got the 10 in 10 and I'm going to do it for the first time today. Reading through here and looking at everyone's results has really motivated me, so here's a BIG thanks to everyone already. Rana, you look fabulous! I need to lose some inches that have attached themselves to me the last few years. The number on the scale isn't nearly as important to me as the fitting of the clothes! *grins* Any advice for a first time user of Callanetics? I'm going to take up the April Challenge and commit to 12 hours. Thanks!

sweettooth 04-01-2009 08:54 AM

Rana very well done!!!!!:clap::clap::clap:
Thanks for sharing your amazing results, your body is really into a kind of serius transformation!!!!
I'm in for 15 hours this month, and as usual I'll be doing cardio at least 2 hours a week.
I'm off to my fisrt hour of the month, let's start with Evolution!!!
Nice day to all of you!
Ellie

Rana, you look amazing! I am very encouraged. I hope to do atleast 10 ten in ten this month. I did not meet my goal last month:-( I am still getting the hang of it. Also, doing a few pilates classes also...

AprilW 04-01-2009 12:34 PM

Wow Rana, you look fab! I did my first hour of 10 in 10 for April today. If you get results like that, I might have to shoot for more hours too. I had a WOO HOO moment yesterday. I bought a pair of jeans 2 months ago that I could put on but there was no way I was breathing or moving in them. I tried them on yesterday and they fit!! I can move and breath. I was so happy. Now I have to find another pair to work my way into. All this exercise is paying off. My weight hasn't changed but something is going on. I  it!

rana 04-01-2009 12:41 PM

Thank you so much all for the compliments and encouragment!:hugs: I am even more motivated for this month!

Bargainhunter, no unfortunately i didnt take measurments. Yes I kinda was on a diet I am saying kinda because I meant to be strick but I wasnt at all so I was eating clean for most part of MArch but cheated sometimes as well...

I was super busy today so no callanetics today for me:annoyed: and I am going away until sunday night I might not be able to check in but hoping to fit in 1 or 2 sessions of Callanetics before Monday.

Welcome Haylo7403:hiya: I hope you like callanetics just as much as we do!Be careful it can get addicting:) Let us know how your first session goes..

TFJ 04-01-2009 12:51 PM

Rana congratulations!

I did 10 in 10 today. Haven't done the challenge for a while because I was rotating through various exercises, but my back is needing Callanetics!!! So, I will go for at least once a week, hopefully more.

I also have been doing Evolution way more then 10 in 10. It was fun seeing how much stronger I have become and applying the concepts from Evolution! :-)

Cheers!

15 to go!

Hi - New to the board, although I've been reading for awhile now. I've done 3 hours so far and will complete 15 hours in April :kicking:.

Glad to be here - your stories are all so motivating.

Kerry 04-01-2009 04:43 PM

Rana hubby just saw your results and told me to go buy evolution lol so THANKS! lol

Babydi 04-01-2009 04:56 PM

WOW RANA!!!! you look fabulous! Just the motivation I needed! I am in for 12 Callanetics for April...or more! I really needed this post today...feeling totally unmotivated! Thank you!

Danipower714 04-01-2009 06:32 PM

Rana- What a fabulous transformation in ONE month!! Look at the space between your thighs! :high5:

Completed an hour of Evolution this evening. Feeling relaxed, stretched and energized right now.

I'm in for at least 12 hours this month.

happenstance 04-01-2009 06:37 PM

OK, I'm in. After lurking 4 awhile & being amazed at all yr results, I'm dragging out the callanetics book n having a bash at the april challenge.. At Least 12 callanetics sessions, or more this month. I have a lot to lose, (I have lost 10kg out of the overall 75kg I need to get rid of - 65 to go!) so am anxious to start pulling all that loose flab in to line. My results so far have occurred over the last month with a combination of walking, regular small lo-carb meals, & some Dance Praise sessions (christian version of Dance Dance Revolution.

LBishop 04-01-2009 06:39 PM

GlamourP has convinced me to try Callanetics and I happened to find the 10 in 10 video at the thrift store today for $1. Can't beat that, so I did my first hour tonight. Now, I must admit that I thought I was strong :hyst: I have been running and my stamina is increasing. Well, let me tell you....I was nauseaus when I finished that hour! I'm still feeling icky:sick: I think I'll go take some pictures. Maybe I'll post them.........maybe.

Kerry 04-01-2009 08:05 PM

yay leisa welcome aboard!

ok 1/10 done

vavoo 04-01-2009 09:04 PM

Congrats Rana! :up:I am so excited to do Callanetics this month. I did only 4 sessions last month and have been doubting the program. Your pics are a great motivation! Go Rana! I will try to do 12 this month. Happy Callanetics all!

enjoy 04-01-2009 09:08 PM

Way to go Rana:high5:, I am in for 15 this month. I discovered Callanetics in Oct. and after a few hrs I knew it worked. I did not take pictures or measurements before I started, but I feel different, my lower back ache is gone, I just know it works!!!!

Sandrahanna 04-01-2009 09:49 PM

Rana

:high5::high5: you should be proud of your achievement. What great results.

I love your pics as I can see your alignment changes. Email me at info@callanetics.net.au if you want some tips on points you can focus more on to change your alignment further for an even more youthful look.

You do look fabulous and Callan would be proud of to show off your perfect peachy behind. It should be stamped "made by Callanetics"

That's GREAT:high5: Eventhough I did mostly 10/10 and few evolution last month evolution is a must after a while I think, because twords the end I started to apply the concepts Sandra teaches to 10/10 ( pulsing in different ways and involving pelvic floor more). What I am planing for this month is to continue like that with 10/10 but I am also adding some of the exercises (abs and behind a little bit upper body) and streches in evolution as well so it takes me about 1.20min to finish 10/10 but its so worthed...

I am off for 4 days see you all on Monday!Have a great weekend.....:hiya:

Sandrahanna 04-01-2009 09:55 PM

Rana - forgot to say  thanks for starting the thread.

I've just been through 5 days of the most grueling move ever. We've downsized to a smaller apartment and I've had to go through some serious culling. My office is full of boxes and stuff that I just couldn't let go but I think i may need to do some more culling.

Anyway, I'm going to up my commitment to two hours a week for this months challenge.

Happy April Pulsing to all you lovely Peaches
