Hello,
I have been doing Callanetics for about 7 months and have had terrific results but am thinking of adding something to mix it up. This looks like it could be the answer! On the site there are 2 dvds- which is better? I would prefer to get a more advanced version if possible. What do you think? Thank you! Secret |

Hi,
I have lost 2 or 3 sizes. I have not measured for a while. I started with t-tapp and got very frustrated by my micro-slow inch loss. I was willing to ignore the scale for the measure, but when that was slow, too. Grrr! However, t-tapp did get me exercising and I still enjoy many of the t-tapp moves. I do Callanetics and Chico now. I lost more inches with Chico than with Callanetics, but got some other incredible results from Callanetics (like a way more flexible back/spine) and I still love to work it in. Some of the exercises are similar, but the delivery is so completely different. I do make sure to add cardio now. This was really difficult for me, as I much prefer these workouts! I only have the newer dvd, so cannot really compare them. One of the ladies on here has both, and I think I remember her giving us a comparison... if you look back in both threads. I know the new one has double scoops and the older one has single scoops. They are very nice if you call, as well, and could give you more details. I prefer the regular workout on the dvd I have, but will also do the chair one if I am feeling slightly funky or just want something different. TFJ |

Funny, last night at the thrift store I picked up an old VHS of Callanetics. I used to have that same tape, but never got into it. Heck, it was a buck, so I'm gonna look at it again and see what I think...now. That is incredible you have lost 2 or 3 sizes...wowza! Is this over several months? I think I have a lot to look forward to....thanks for sharing that, TFJ!

Lisa,
Well, I am a combo, too! I also feel like I gained a lot of muscle, but didn't see any shaping until Callanetics and real inch loss began with Chicometrics and really got going with Chico and cardio (go figure! Just like he says!)I felt so discouraged with t-tapp. I also went to workout with a private trainer... I was wondering if my form was so off that I was not seeing the results I read about, or even a slower movement in that direction. I still love PBS and enjoy the BWO+ on occasion, but it has been a while since I have done any t-tapp. I had a really euphoric moment when giving myself a Callanetics Evolution bootcamp (14 days) where my spine loosened up tremendously and felt incredible. As if those vertebrae had been stiff for years. As you can probably tell, I learned a lot from t-tapp and Callanetics that I apply to every workout I do. I am hoping to squeeze more Callanetics back in... just because I feel so limber and stretched out when I keep at it! Since purchasing Evolution I have not touched 10 in 10... so I may need to pull it out and see how it feels now after all the new Chico muscles! $1 is a great deal!! ![]() Enjoy! TFJ |

Hi,
This sounds interesting. I am looking to add something new to my cardio/callanetics and occasional ttapp (I know this is effective but soooooo hard to pick up) routine. Is anyone still doing this in 2012? Thanks for all responses. Coop |

Coop229, I haven't been doing it, but thinking real hard about it LOL! I would be up for a challenge if any of you gals are interested.
I think it is much more challenging than Callanetics, BTW. It works more body parts thoroughly, including the arms where I have grown bat wings since I've been in menopause...lovely side effect. I also have some Bar Method DVDs I've been trying to motivate myself into getting into. Callanetics, Chicometrics, and Bar Method are all similar, yet different. |

I am debating which video/dvd to order. I saw Chicometrics III on vhs offered on sale for 16.99. I also saw the original Chicometrics dvd and a newer dvd called Chicometrics unique 2 in 1 on sale on his website for 29.99 plus s&h. Which video/dvd do you have? I would love some feedback. Thanks. Hey Coop! I looked at my Chicometrics and it is the 2 in 1. I love this one. I ordered my daughter the original and, without actually watching it, when we talked I could tell some of the exercises were a bit different, but I'm sure still very effective.
I'm a bit biased about the 2 in 1 video, so that is the one I would choose. If you have any specific questions about the exercises, etc., maybe I could answer....HTH. |
