Did my Bodyflex breathing for the morning (40 breaths with positions).

It does take a while to get the rollling of your stomach up under the ribs thing down, doesn't it?? What helped me too was googling stomach vacuum. It shows weight-lifting guys doing the vacuum and that is exactly what we are trying to accomplish with our abs

I have the original tapes.
I like that the workout is short, can be done anywhere, energizing, and you can feel it burn.

Me too! And once you have it memorized, heck, the options of positions are endless. I look at yoga positions a lot (and I have to admit an Oxycise! book with newer positions to me) to have a lot of options and not get bored with it.

I started out with BodyFlex, then went to Oxycise!, then to LifeLift. I even have a Breathasize tape that LA weight loss used to hand out to their clients....very similar to BF. All aerobic breathing programs, and all work for most or some. I think YMMV on all of these.

Good morning, I have just become a member. I have the SS and tried them and never really gotten any results, I have enjoyed reading what you girls have said about them and I am wondering if I should give them a try again. I am coming up on a birthday in March, I will be 53. I lost 38 pounds back in 2005 on South Beach for my daughters wedding but have gained it all back. I try to watch better what I eat and have been doing the 10 min. trainer exercises 3 times a week now for 2 months. I was wondering what the 9 min advance is, that I saw someone talk about.

Glad to see you give it a try again. I have not seen any results yet either and have been doing for about 2 weeks. I only do the leg one since that is the only area, that and hips (hope I am hitting both) that needs work. My upper body is very lean and I find that I will do the legs everyday manybe twice if that is all I am commiting too. I am still holding out for results that everyone is getting. I am excited for them and hoping results for you and I too.

Yesterday on SS and today one SS so far will do again tonight.

When DD and I were doing them daily, we had consistent inch losses. Don't know how but lost the video of SS and almost tempted to order one again cuz of the great feeling they gave us. It's been awhile so I can't remember where to start.......

Hi Everyone!
I'm new to this and I just ordered SS, and after reading all of your posts i also ordered Abdonda, cause like ALL of my chub is in my tummy :-(
I have an interesting history with weight loss, and I have some first hand insight on weight loss product advertising...But listening to all of this has truly inspired me so thanks so much. I figured I would post my measurements here and post regular updates and in 14 days remeasure myself and give some nice objective data for the skeptics and true believers! I'm scientific :-)
So, here are my rules. I normally walk about 6000 to 10,000 steps a day. I can't get around that cause I work in New York and I walk from the train to my building and that's the length.
I am going to do everything I can to adapt the SS diet into my eating habits. I work 60 hours a week and am nearly dependent on delivery.com for most meals. I will use my iphone app (called lose it...it's free and awesome...) to record my weight daily and the food consumed. I imagine that will keep me honest. After this post, I am not going to talk about the experiment, but in 14 days I will post new measurements and weight. I'll only take the measurements in that two week interval, because weight fluxes so much on a daily basis. So...I look forward to meeting all of you!!! :-)

Measurements Pre SS:
36" at waist
42" Hips
12" around left bicep
39 around both thighs.

Weight: 162.2

Can't wait to see results!!!!

Just got SS in the mail(bought it on amazon)...it came with the advanced workout but didn't have the motivational CD. I guess that's what happens when you buy things second hand, but the rest of the package was in good quality. I watched the instructions and did the 7 minute work out along with my mom who said "motionless excercise"? Sounds like a good plan to me

So we did it, and like you guys said...we were shaking during excercise and felt exhausted after. So I'm really excited to see the results!!!

I mean i work all the time, but i totally have time for 7 minutes a day!!! You all seem really supportive of eachother I hope to dive into this little world face first!

I am so pleased to see that others are doing BF as well as other programs like it.

I ordered the original BF tapes years ago. I liked them and did lose some inches, but the tapes broke. Then later, I got the set with the bar. I like it and lost some inches, but got lazy.

Now I have lost weight thanks to Atkins , I want to exercise for maintenance as well as to firm up.

I think I will have to hunt around for those tapes and the bar.

I never knew anyone else who did these programs.

My little secret

Can I tell you all a secret? I always feel ashamed to admit that i'm trying to lose weight. Seriously, though. What do I have to be ashamed of?
I think it's my friends who seem effortlessly skinny and never walked into a store, tried on clothes, and then got depressed because nothing fit them.

It seems that so many girls go through this...and yet all the girls I know seem to be well adjusted.

My boyfriend runs a few miles every day. like...he can't go a day with out it. I don't know how anyone could actually enjoy something that jars your joints and is frankly the most boring thing ever. Sometimes I have a hard time believing he's dating me.

Sometimes, he offers to coach me. yeah, that's all i need. If it were up to me, he'd be blindfolded whenever we have a date.

I've lost a lot of weight before, and I always felt great during that time, but eventually my discipline would slacken because it was soooooooo much effort to lose and maintain. I just want it to be effortless, like it seems for all of my friends. Just from reading your threads I know that y'all put effort into your weight loss and I was curious if you had any advice that can help me this time around?

Morning Gals!!!

Satorie! Sounds like you have a great plan; now just work it!! Please report back to us in 14 days with your results, K??

I took yesterday off from any exercise, back to BF-ing this morning, in a few minutes.

How's everyone else doing?? Any great results to report??

I am doing walk away the pounds stuff 3 days a week (usually 2 miles) and Bodyflex breathing (40 breaths in the a.m., before breakfast, after coffee). I've been low-carbing since 12/26/2008, starting with '72 induction and so far have lost 12.5 pounds. That is GREAT for a 45-year-old women screaming into menopause, I think I'm going into my third week of Bodyflexing. I am into some of my next-size-down jeans and it feels so wonderful!!!!

C'mon gals, we need motivating inspirational stories...please share

I am excited for you I wish I had similar results to post.

When you say Atkins 72 what do you mean. I thought his first book was 92 and what are the differences in the plans??

I mean copyright 1972 of Dr. Atkins. The first book, out in '72, was called The Diet Revolution, not the New Diet Revolution. There is a lot of information on this site. Do a search and you can find the info about it I really like it better than the newer one, because it is easier, stricter for me, and you're not counting your carbs the first week; you just eat from a list of foods. After the first week, if you are still losing inches/weight, you can add 5-8 carbs in weekly. That is it in a nutshell.

And thank you!!! I just hope my losses continue this way!!!
