PF pain subsiding
ScrtGrl,
Funny, it's been just about a week and it is going away. In the meantime, I am now very aware of my abs. That is a completely new experience for me, as I have always had very weak abs. It's very exciting! I have worked every other part of my body, and have always studiously avoided ab work. My goal is to get into the best shape that I can, so I really have to give it a fair shot. I love Callanetics! |

saddlebags etc
Hi Sandra
Yes - this site made complete sense to me when I first read it; more sense than anything I have ever read before or after, on saddlebags.. It has been my saving grace over the years that I can sew creatively; to hide or minimize saddlebag appearance! All the best Nola Quote:

Hi Jessie
That sounds good! Teresa Tapp- Of T-tapp; had a back injury when she was young- she had severe continued back pain; she learnt that tucking butt relieved her back pain. Her whole workout is based around butt tucking, (and a few other things).. Nola Quote:

I think I am getting somewhere.....
Hi there,
I feel the hard work is paying off.....trousers are feeling looser and my hips are losing their roundness (that only appeared when I started Callen really) I am very pleased. Been nearly 3 months now doing Callen. Can I ask though I feel the front of my thighs are still rather bulky and stick out. What is good for that? Also the first lot of leg excercises where you stand and put the leg forward and then out to the side, I think I am doing soemthing wrong. I can't really feel it working. What am I doing wrong???? I try to stretch my leg out as far as possible but I still can't feel it working. I also struggle with the thrid floor leg excercise. How should I be putting my legs? I try to follow what Sandra says on the video and the copy the ladies but I am sure I am doing something wrong because I can't feel it working either. Any help is greatly appreciated. Em ![]() |

I have done 4 hours of super Callanetics, but I also have the am/pm is it still effective since its only 40 minutes a day? This is really helping my back right now, I love it. I already feel better and can visually see results in my stomach, hips and my butt.

You know, sometimes, I don't really feel sore after a workout, only shaking and quivering...
But this morning, I could totally feel my abs from the workout I did on Thursday. Other days, I will feel achy hips or inner thighs (most amusing on the day that I could barely drive our stick-shift and fortunately my husband was able and willing to take over). Sometimes it just catches up with you when you least expect it. |

Hi Em, Quite often a student won't feel the muscles working deeply if they aren't relaxing enough. Check that you're not contracting the muscles in your leg. Try to relax those muscles also. Really try to relax and let go of all your muscles allowing your body to feel open, soft and floaty. At the same time continue to lengthening upwards through crown of head and feel the sit bones lengthening back and up to ceiling. Also, check that your hips are evenly aligned. Feel lifted up and out of the hips/pelvis. Pelvic floor as tight as possible. Take deep breaths to help with this 'letting go' feeling. Once you are in position and pulsing you need to continue to lengthen out of the pelvis and continue to tighten the pelvic floor deeper and deeper until you feel the muscles you are training in the leg become more stretched and tauter. Then you relax those muscles also. Shoulder blades need to be eased down to hips and widened out to side so your upper back is broad but still relaxed. Hope this helps. Just remember that when you are doing any exercise and not feeling it as deeply all you need to do is consciously run through the concepts and apply each one. This is why the concepts are vital to the program. Applying each concept to each and every exercise ensures you are getting instant results EVERY time.

My first hour of Callanetics
Hello,
I am new here. I was inspired by the Callanetics before and after pictures posted here and couldn't wait to get my hands on a Callanetics DVD. I just did my first hour of Callanetics Evolution. I feel wonderful - like I stretched and toned every muscle in my body without beating myself up. I just wanted to say thanks for the inspiration! I will join the challenge next month. Ella |

I decided not to do Callanetics today. I took a long walk in the snow and then did some shoveling for about 45 minutes.
My abs, thighs, and hips are sore from yesterday's workout. |

Thanks Sandra, your advise is so appreciated. I think I must be doing somethign right as clothes are def looser and I looked in mirror today any I could see major improvements, I am very happy and hope it continues. Maybe as I have been stretching more etc the pulling in is starting. now I am just worried that Xmas is here, and although I will still do my Callen, I will not be watching my diet as much. I do have a bad attitude about this and worry and stress over what I eat etc. I know I need to stop! Thanks Em ![]() |
