Fit & Sexy Video/DVD July 2008 Challenge

This challenge is for anyone that works out with videos/dvds! Let's meet here daily to hold each other accountable for working out! It will also be a great place to meet and chat about the workout video/dvds we do and become more informed as to what may or may not work for us. We can even review them here so others will know if that video may be one they may or may not want to purchase. I look forward to working out with you all, giving and receiving encouragement from you and just having fun getting fit (because we are already sexy!)

I'm going to kick it up a notch and commit to doing 24 workouts this month. I'm batting 0 right now since I did not work out yesterday. I'll be back later to post my workout for today.

Tom Holland's Total Body Workout done today. I am being really lazy this week and just recycling the workouts from last week instead of trying to pick different ones.

Boy did I struggle to workout yesterday! Yesterday was supposed to be a cardio workout and I just didn't have the energy so I did the yoga workout from Body Target: Hips & Thighs instead. I woke up this morning and did Amy Bento's All Pump as soon as I rolled out of bed so I wouldn't talk myself out of it.

Have a great 4th everyone!

Hi Nessy. So, I can recommend the most appropriate DVD's, what's your fitness level? Beginner, intermediate, advanced?

Beginner at this time. I hope to change that soon! I used to exercise a lot at a gym, but when I relocated to Columbus, OH, I never found a gym that I really liked and slacked on my exericising. I appreciate your help!

Hello everyone (I know I know)

Yesterday was Jari Love Get Ripped and Chisled ~ wow I was spent after this one! Great workout though....

Tracey thank you for the recommendation of Tom Holland ~ I would just workout with that one because he's a "looker" oh and I'm sure it's a great workout too!

I know! He is adorable. There is one segment where he looks at the camera and just smiles for about 5 seconds and I stand there and smile right back at him like some lovestruck school girl.

Monday~ No workout
Today~ Burn & Firm Pilates.

Tonight was Angie Miller's Strength and Core Fusion ~ what a workout. Even though I used 1 pound weights thinking I would do this for my light day it was VERY challenging. I was still hurting from yesterday's workout so I only did 40 minutes of this one and i felt it believe me! Has anyone tried The Firm (Transfirmation) workouts? I'd like to use light weights and do them on my light days.

I did the Firm Upper Body workout last night. I'm leaving work early to go out of town for the weekend. My husband's sister is getting married tomorrow. So, I won't be working out again until probably Monday when we get back. I am so not going to make my 24 workouts goal this month.

Have a great weekend you guys!

Marcia, I just got the SS Advanced DVD yesterday--had been doing the advanced 7 MInute stuff based on the directions given in the SS thread (excellent directions) and by golly, think this is what helped me lose a dress size in the past 3 weeks. Are you pleased with your results when you do the 7 minute SS ? I figure this is a good way to get slowly back into a bit of fitness stuff. Just got the beginning Callanetics DVD and it looks like a good way to ease back into more physical activity, after being sedentary for several months (I plan to start Callan for beginners this next week!) I have already watched it and it looks super. but love the easy, quick results from SS.

Maizenbluebabe ~ I use Shapely Secrets as a filler but I noticed when I was doing it on a regular about 7 months ago that I saw a lot of definition forming (so why did I stop huh) sigh.....It definitly lifted my behind (which is what I need). There is a thread on here where people are getting great results!!!!!! I am going to alternate between Fluidity and Shapely Secrets and see what happens. Let us know how it goes for you! Were you doing it once or twice a day?

Last night was the Fluidity Bar workout ~ enjoyed it!
