CALLANETICS CHALLENGE JULY 2008

CALLANETICS

Are you ready to reshape your body in ways you would never imagine?

Are you ready to begin looking YEARS younger after just a few workouts?

Callanetics is NOT just another workout -- It is a tried and true method of reshaping our bodies that uses every fiber of every muscle, gently, deeply and almostly magically -- a workout for all ages, one that can be done ANYWHERE, and with no equipment.

This form of training will firm, tone, smooth, tighten, strengthen, lengthen, and lift our bodies like never before!

Callanetics is a series of small, gentle, precise motions synergistically and consistently applied, that activate the body's largest most powerful muscles to quickly tighten hips, buttocks, inner and outer thighs; flatten the tummy; lift the bust and firm underarms and tone the entire body. It will also dramatically improve your posture and balance. You will feel and see a difference after only one or two hours. Callanetics is like magic!

THERAPEUTIC RELIEF: Callanetics is as therapeutic as it is effective. You will sleep better, relieve stress, and minor aches and pains you may be used to experiencing regularly will suddenly disappear. Many sufferers of fibromyalgia, knee and back pain, and even carpal tunnel, have experienced dramatic relief from this program.

INCREASED FLEXIBILILTY AND ENDURANCE: Because Callanetics works the muscles of our bodies deeply, you can expect to dramatically improve muscle flexibility and endurance, making aerobic and cardio exercise easier as well.

In this monthly challenge, you will find tons of daily inspiration, tips, and professional advice from certified trainers of Callanetics to help you make the most out of one of the most effective workouts you'll ever do in your life.

FAQ’S: Callanetics : Frequently Asked Questions

I'm in....My goal for July is 15 hours of 10/10.

I just got my DVD a couple weeks ago, and so far have logged in 4 hours. I was house-sitting for two weeks, and forgot my DVD! I just did an hour last night, but I won't count that for July.

I've got the poochy belly that everyone is talking about. Rather disconcerting, but y'all say it'll go away after a few more hours. I can't wait for that! Looking forward to looking better by the end of the month.

Well, I made it through my first hour yesterday and I can still walk down the stairs (a little sore though)! I'm in for 10 hours for July. I'm also thinking of starting to run on my days I don't do 10/10. Anyone tried the '4 Weeks to 1 Mile' program?

Good Luck - Look forward to losing those inches with you all!

IMO, it's good for one's body to keep it guessing by mixing up your workout routine throughout the week. You esp want to get in some cardio during the week, the duration depending on your fitness goals.

That said, do Callanetics at least 3 x a week regardless for best results.

I'm in for July! My goal is 10 hours this month. Missed last months goal... only had 7 out of 10 hours completed. The heat out here makes me want to be lazy, and we had record breaking heat...

After a long long while, I'm in again! And excited to continue doing Callanetics . The goal for this month is to complete ten hours of 10in10. Two first weeks of July I'll try to do it twice per week, for the following 2 weeks my goal is to do Callanetics 3 times per week. I'll also keep on jogging 3 times per week.

Can't wait to see some results again... Good luck, everybody!

Marian... perhaps you are not eating enough??? the body goes into starvation mode if it feels like its not getting enough fuel and that could be why you've gained weight. I know if I am too low on my calorie intake I gain weight instead of losing.

I know you can substitute doing the hip/behind exercises by resting your arm on the floor or using a steady piece of furniture like a table or couch. I actually grab on to the bottom of my kitchen chair so my arms arent that high as in the video. But what can you use to do the leg exercises? I have been using a kitchen chair which isnt stable at all really so I just rest my arms on it. Im just wondering if not having a stable piece of furniture to do some of these exercises can effect your results? I really dont know what else to use.....
