Congrats Noreen! You go girl!

What did it take to become certified? I'd be really interested just to know!

Antonya, here's what I do...

Question: how many of you do Callanetics daily, and do you think it has sped up your results? I'm getting a little impatient for my new, improved peach!!!
Well, currently I'm trying to fit in more cardio. Which is difficult for me. Don't know why, I always have been a weightliftin girl. The results I was getting from YEARS of weightraining prompted me to really switch things up. I'm extremely fatigued & I though maybe the weight training was to much!
I've been doing SC now since May consistantly. Though I've done it on & off since the book came out. This forumn has really taught me alot so it's like doing it again for the first time! I have the VHS tape & it skips throught the leg series. This is were Pure Barre fits in nicely. Also I love the iballets too. Are you familiar w/ them?
To answer your question there are weeks were I do these workouts back to back.My goal wouild be to do a 30-40 min intense cardio on alternating days.I could do zsc everyday though. SOme say it's dated but it reminds me of when I first did the tape & my girls were little!Memories!

I have a silly question. When doing hip and behind exercises last night, the hip and side of the leg that I am moving start to cramp up terribly. Is this the feeling I am supposed to have? I think I am doing something wrong. I keep going through the instructions on what my form should be, but I cramp up so much its hard to keep going. Thoughts, please? Or have I gotten to the point where its just more of a challenge?

CallanFan and Maria - thanks for your responses!! I'm trying to up my cardio and I'm going to start on upper body weight training once I drag my weights out of the garage. I realize this is a lifelong way of living, yada yada, but I really want to look hot when I go back to school this fall. As a 37 year-old college senior surrounded by beautiful young women at school, vanity is a real motivator!

Anyone else do Callanetics daily? I'm also wondering, should I do my upper body weight routine on the same day as Callan, or on off days? Or does it matter? Thanks again!!

Awwww, thank you Rachel! I wore it "natural" on my b-day and took the pic. My hair didn't turn wavy until puberty. I tend to straighten it, but in the summer it's easier to wash and go. Your avatar pics are always so pretty too!! I love your hair color.

Noreen- CONGRATS!!!

Antonya- No way you are 37! I thought you were closer to my age! You are looking good girl! DH going to take a pic of the new and improved you soon?

Nena- Yay for your cute bum! I bet your sister will try Callanetics now!

Another hour of 10 in 10 completed.

Shouldn't matter. I've done UB on same day, and on different days. Whatever works for ya.

Dani - yes, I'm the big 3-7. Hard to believe sometimes, but there it is. I did inherit some youthful genes - my 97 year-old grammy doesn't look a day over 80. Sometimes people mistake my DH13 and I for sisters, which is actually kind of disturbing.

I will bug DH to take a new avatar pic soon!

Questions for Callanetics people

Are you doing upper body weights also?

Would you mind posting your weekly workout schedule?

Thanks!

Dreamchase, I don't do anything but the tape. I try to do Callanetics every night before brushing teeth unless my muscles are sore or my lower back needs a time-out. Sometimes I really feel like doing it during the day, then I go ahead early.

I do Callanetics (Super) 3 x a week;

Upper body, with weights, supersets, 2-3 x a week

Cardio 5-6 x a week, either 20 mins of HIIT, or 30-45 mins of s/s cardio

20 mins of abs, 2 x a week on avg

One total body weight training, one hour long.

Wow going on vacation you miss a lot of posts! Congratulations Noreen! I was a slacker and didn't do any callanetics while on vacation... I did do a lot of walking and tried my best to eat as healthy as I could and yay the scale says I'm at the same weight so at least I didn't gain anything. Tomorrow I'm going to start callanetics again and I'm determined to reach my goal for the month. I've also noticed I've lost a lot of flexibility since I haven't be doing callanetics.

Hello everybody! Am I glad I found you!! This is my first post. For the last one month I have been devouring all the great Callanetics information here. I have just completed 4 hours of 10/10 and I think I am feeling/seeing something but I am not sure. Will y’all take a look and tell what you see? In both views the first pic is at 0 hour and the other after 4 hours, today. If what I feel is true then WOW! BTW I am 48, 5’1” and 116 lbs. Not really fat but very flabby. TIA.

Sorry about the picture size, I forgot to resize them in Photobucket. Please excuse me, next time I’ll remember, I promise.

RP!

Glad you've found the MAGIC.

I can see where your tummy has flattened out in only those four hours! You're gonna love the way Callanetics transforms your body. Totally unique workout, unlike any other. Way to go, girl!

Keep up the good work.

(PS - You and I are the same age. I discovered Callanetics when I was 45, and I'll be doing it, God willing, until I'm 100.)
