mevluvmark, I was on a Candida diet once, yeeeears ago. I was not allowed to eat any starch, flour or sugar, as in carrot, bread and ketchup. But stuff without any of those I could eat all I want- it doesn't feed Candida to eat fish. I had no limit on excercise, rode my bike up a VERY steep and long hill every day, did all I usually did. I got iron supplement for the fatigue, I guess I was anemic as well. I would guess you can do all the excercise your body agrees on- if your muscles says poop, just stop. You could mix up the excercises if you can't do them all at once.

I just did South African Callanetics volume 1. I'm still in two minds about that program. It feels like it has really worked my butt and legs but I feel absolutely nothing in my upper body or arms. My stomach didn't really feel much either so i'm going to do the original Callanetics stomach exercises too.
One thing that did happen is that I found myself really sweating. That doesn't usually happen in the original Callanetics program for me.

Hi all! I have recently ordered Super Callanetics and Evolution from Ebay, and they are currently being shipped. I can't wait to try them. Which one is better to start with? I have been doing 10/10 already for a couple of months.

i'd go with evolution first. you'll get a chance to get all the callanetics concepts down, which you can then apply in super c and in 10/10, the stretches are fantastic, you get to see our sandra in action , and it's going to be easier to do than super c. a couple of months of 10/10 might not be enough for you to transition to super c. i know it wasn't enough for me...

good luck, and enjoy!

Just completed hour 6 of 10/10 for July.

It was harder today than before, but I did notice I was up higher on the stomach exercises and the hip/behind with the straight leg killed me today, but again I was sitting up much higher than before.

okay, who's familiar with the M.A.E. technique, and how is it different from callanetics evolution? mary adams gives credit to callan on her website, but i think she refers to callanetics having stagnated or something to that effect (probably before evolution came out).

let's ask ben -- he knows everything!

Mary Adams was a Callanetics teacher who opened the first Callanetics studio in the UK (Scotland) in the late 90s. She ran into some legal problems with Callan and the Callanetics Management Company and lost her right to teach Callanetics. So she took the exercises and re-named them the M.A.E Technique. It's basically a copy of "New Callanetics" which was around before Callanetics Evolution.

Urgh, I was supposed to do an hour at the weekend and another today, but time just keeps slipping me by... mostly because of my family!

I hate being caught exercising, so I tend to do it when everyone is out.

Having said that, I often get 10 minutes or so to myself- if I do 6 10 minute sessions throughout the day, break the hour regime up that much is it still as effective?

I know in the 10/10 she says you can do two half hour sessions and that counts... any ideas?

I'm measuring myself right now, so hopefully I'll see how many inches I've lost soon!

see there? told you ben would know

i don't doubt she got into legal trouble with callan; she's using the 'my only competition is plastic surgery' line!

HOORAY NOREEN!!!!

I did the hip/behind holding on to a chair today, and I also tried the twisting variation posted by Ben...both were much more challenging, which is just what I wanted.

Question: how many of you do Callanetics daily, and do you think it has sped up your results? I'm getting a little impatient for my new, improved peach!!!

another hour of evolution, plus 2 incomplete sessions in previous days.

Ben, interesting feedback - SA DVD1 - hip and butt and legs are the main things I need to do, (my abs are week so anything for them is a workout!!!!) once I did evolution in the afternoon and SA1 in the evening, my body felt amazing the next day, like I was floating, I was so loose! I havent' had time to repeat that but I'd like to try and fit 2 hours spaced out thru the day maybe once a week (ideally).

i do it every weekday, alternating 10/10 and evolution to keep it fresh, but by saturday i find that i'm a little short of energy to do a full hour in good form, so i just do one of the quick tapes. i take sunday off completely. it works best for me this way -- i feel all nice and stretchy and strong (and virtuous), and keeping to a strict routine keeps me motivated and in control, both with exercise and with diet.

lots of people say they started getting better results when they switched to every other day, but that didn't work out for me. every body's different...

Good job Noreen. You should have no trouble finding clients.
