I'm still splitting-up my WATP and Jazzercise...until Sunday. Trying to get used to both of them, a little at a time, so I can alternate them, next week.

I did my 1/2 mile of the 4-mile Super Challenge, today.

I need to check out the Walk Slim videos.

I have Leslie's "Walk & Kick" which combines walking and kickboxing and only takes about half an hour. It is fun and gets my heart pumping more than her other programs.

4 miles completed for yesterday.

Just an idea on setting the challenge miles...maybe it would work out better if each person set their own goal for the week? It would still be a great way to challenge yourself; each week post your goal and report here with your accomplishments. That way, each person can decide how much time they want to devote to WATP in case they like to alternate with other videos/workouts. Just a suggestion, feel free to set it however you want, I'm still planning to participate either way as I am so glad I have found others who are just as addicted to WATP's as I am!

GG- I LOVE that idea! "Addicted" is not quite the right word for me! I so look forward to doing WATP- it almost seems like a treat to me. It reminds me of when I use to look forward to stepping out onto my deck to have a cigarette--insane, right?

Anyhow... I had the day off from work today so I decided to go for a 3rd mile this am I did Walk Away Waistline's full workout--- That felt great!

BTW- Another bit of good news for me! I got a new teaching job in the school district I had been praying for years for. I'm actually off to sign my paperwork today What a great day this is turning out to be!

Have a great walking day guys!

I, also love that idea. I was just racking my brain, trying to find a "happy medium", as far as setting a goal. Some of us seem to be doing so much more than others (like me).

So, on Saturday, let's post our PERSONAL GOAL, for the week. Then, on Saturday we'll see if we met our goal, and set another one, for the next week.

2.87 miles for me this morning! The back is not feeling too bad either!

My youngest DS is graduating HS tonight. It's held outdoors at the fairgrounds since our Civic Center was destroyed by the hurricanes a couple years back. Not sure how much walking I will be getting in there. I have a feeling it's not a short walk to the arena. And it's supposed to POUR! down rain!
(Not that it has anything to do with anything, but I just thought I would share)

Today I purchased 4 Fast Mile Walk Slim & Denise Austin Blast Away the Pounds Indoor Walking & Leslie's WATP for Men (it was on clearance for $6!).

I will be doing 4 Fast Miles tonight (only 3 miles though). I also purchased a cute little pocket calendar to put next to my Walking things so that I can record my miles after each workout. FYI: I will be posting my miles weekly- not daily.

Take Care!

You just jump right in! Day after tomorrow (Saturday), we're each going to set our own personal goal, for the following week (which starts on Sunday). So, just decide how much you want to do the week of May 25'th through May 31'st.

This is my absolute fave workout

I just thought I would let you all know that Denise Austin's Walking Indoors Workout is INTENSE and FUN It's broken up into 3- fifteen minute 1 mile workouts. Each workout is just as intense as the next- even the one she calls "Easy". The third workout uses hand weights. I managed to squeeze in the first 2 miles this evening It was fantastic!!

So if you're looking for something quick and stimulating-- this is it! I can't wait to try Walk Slim-- maybe manana!!

I am soooo proud of all of us We rock!

I'm wondering though... The Walk/Jog is supposedly 2.5 miles but according to my pedometer, it was less than 2 miles. I wonder how she calculates her distance...
I was listening to Denise Austin give a little pep talk at the beginning of her walking workout DVD and she said it is calculated according to calories burned- not steps. Maybe Leslie calculates the same way??

All I know is that I could never walk a 15 minute mile on my own walking through my neighborhood! And when I have walked a mile on my own, I am never as challenged as I am when I do the videos. So, I am pretty sure they got it right

I have to measure, in the morning. I cheated the other day, and measured my hips....REALLY FAST.

I swear it looked like I'd lost 3/4 of an inch, just from my hips. Is that possible? I have been doing WATP and Jazzercise every day. I guess I'll find out, tomorrow.

OK. I'm going to go ahead and post my goal, for next week (beginning May 25'th).

Here is my schedule:
  • Sunday: WATP 1.5-miles
  • Monday: Jazzercise
  • Tuesday: WATP 1.5-miles
  • Wednesday: Jazzercise
  • Thursday: WATP 1.5 miles
  • Friday: Jazzercise
  • Saturday: Day Off

So, it looks like my WATP Goal for next week is 4.5 miles, total. I'll probably end-up doing the 2-miles, instead of 1.5, but if I plan to do under that, I'll be sure and meet my goal. Don't want to make myself too sore, the first day.

I bought the WATP Intensity dvd today and some 3 lb weights. I did the 1 mile Muscle Walk and it was a good intense mile for me in 15 minutes. This is definitely a good one when I am pressed for time and need a workout. 7 miles for me so far.
