I just did 1/2 mile of WATP and the first half of my new Jazzercise Workout. I'll probably finish out this week, doing half of each one...every day. Then, beginning Sunday, I'll alternate the days I do WATP and Jazzercise.

How many miles does everyone want to do, next week?

ok off to take a walk!!!
Great! I will try this!

Ok- I just read over the sight (no clips for WATP for Abs) and the descriptions for both of these are NOT the same. I am going to go ahead and open up my WATP for Abs. I will let you guys know the verdict tonight-- wish me luck!

I was out walking the malls and shopping centers for hours today with MIL. Don't know how far we walked, but I am whipped.
BUT I did want to mention that while at Target I noticed they have quite a few different WATP videos. Never knew they carried them before. Good to know for when I am ready, anyway.
Keep up the good work everybody!

Good Evening Everyone!

I just got one of the 2 new videos I ordered...the one I did today - Walk Slim 4 Fast Miles - absolutely this one! It is face paced and includes "walk boosters", which is really just jogging. It runs for 47 minutes and is equivalent to a full 4 miles. This is definitely a keeper. I also got another Walk Slim Fast & Firm 4 Really Big Miles, I can't wait to try this one too.

I must say that a lot of the newer ones are very similar yet just enough different that it helps to mix things up.

Sounds like everyone is doing good! KUTGW!

Thanks for the encouraging words! Your stats are great too!

I don't keep a daily food journal. I journal once a week to keep track of weight, exercise, etc. I eat only meat, cheese (including processed meats and cheeses ), veggies, and fat (butter, sour cream, etc.) and that is all. I haven't had a single cheat, or Atkins shake, bar, etc. I also gave up coffee, SF drinks of all kinds and diet soda. I drink 100+ oz of water everyday.

So I think I'm pretty clean.

I'm so proud of everyone! I was starting us out at the 3.5 miles per week, because I wasn't sure what everyone's fitness level was, but I'm thinking we can DRASTICALLY increase, next week. How many does everyone want to do, next week? KUTGW

I'm a pretty big girl who, before last week, never really worked out. I am doing 3-4 miles a day- so I guess I'm open to just about anything!

WATP for Abs is different than the other WATP DVDs--- it is also b-o-r-i-n-g!! It was about 90% marching in place- I can't imagine doing that again! After I completed mile 1, I didn't feel anything! So I did 1 mile from her Power Series--- it was only slightly better. I think because I started out with Walk Away Your Waistline, High Calorie, and Super Fat Burning- anything slower is too slow for me. Although technically I did 2 miles, I feel cheated. These 2 DVDs will be at the bottom of my pile for awhile...

I can only look forward to tomorrow morning's Super Fat Burning to make up for today!

Congrats to all!

Last night I did the Walk/Jog and then did Muscle 1-Mile right after. Not as much of a workout as I'd hoped but it was better than nothing.

I'm wondering though... The Walk/Jog is supposedly 2.5 miles but according to my pedometer, it was less than 2 miles. I wonder how she calculates her distance...

The funny thing is that I didn't order the set that is now selling. You can buy just the ones you want separately, although I think its a lot cheaper to buy the full set.

I'm not exactly sure how she figures distance, I assumed it was based on the number of steps. Either way you are still getting 30 minutes of aerobic intervals so I wouldn't worry too much.

This is THE best workout! I am so proud of myself when I finish this one!

I did mile 2 & 3 of that workout this morning. It gets me off to a great start!

I think 10 miles a week would be fantastic

Can you guys recommend some medium-high intensity WATP workouts? The last 2 I bought were too slow for me and I don't want to make the same mistake again. Something along the lines of "Walk Away Your Waistline" would be great.

I am also thinking about picking up Denise Austin's Walking Indoors workout-- seems pretty fast-paced.

One that I really like is the 5 mile advanced workout. Its broken down into 3 different 3 mile walks and 2 different 5 mile walks. Its faster paced from the beginning and each mile is a different segment; there are only 5 different segments but they are pieced together differently for each group. I hope this makes sense. Here's a breakdown:

1 - fast pace/speed walk
2 - fastest mile w/ few min. of jogging
3 - fast pace w/ hand weights
4 - fast pace w/ stretchie
5 - fast pace w/ waistline belt

You then choose which of the 5 workout groups you want and you get to choose with or w/o talking!

Wow, that took a lot of explaining - you could probably just go onto her site and check it out! I am also loving the Walk Slim videos too, there are some more advanced moves on that one as well.

skoolmarm- Walkslim is the one you need, i have all of her dvd, and i mean all of them from walk away the pounds for the ab's, those are good, and the original walk away the pounds with the ball weight's, even the short lived walk away step aerobic's,that one sucks, and the walk away power series, and walk away shortcut's.....and the number one favorite of all time is walk slim 3 mile's, the walksim 4 miles tape, and the walk slim 4 really fast miles.

I did some searching on the "Walk Slim" series, on Leslie's website. I went through several of them, watching the video clips. I agree that this series looks as if it's not so "boring". There is ALOT of "marching in place", in the videos that I have. The "Walk Slim Fast Start 1 & 2 Mile" looks like the one I'd like to start with. Anyone have this one? Would it be a good "Walk Slim" to start with?

OaklandRaiders15, to answer your question...yes, the Walk Slim Series is also Leslie Sansone.
