I'm certainly glad I didn't eat more than a few bites. WOW...sugar sure does affect us, doesn't it?

Yes, it IS amazing. I swear, I have a "sugar hang-over", this morning. SO...it's egg creams ONLY, today...and WATP.
Gotta work that sugar out of my body!

WATP...Accurate?

How accurate are these dvds? I'm using Walk Slim: 4 Fast Miles and I just don't see how we're walking 4 miles in less than 60 minutes without me gasping for breath! Four miles per hour on the treadmill has me just short of running! I match LS step for step and it sure doesn't seem very strenuous compared to the treadmill. Can I really count this as 4 miles?

I think your treadmill may be "off a little". A 15-minute mile is a good walking pace. I think you could EASILY walk beside a car going 4-miles per hour.

I think she probably counts steps, as far as they way she figures miles. 2,000 steps is the average for a mile (depending on your stride). You could count steps and see. But, either way, I'm MORE THAN SURE that she's figured this out, by now.

Made myself do the 4 mile Super Challenge. Not feeling great and will call the endo tomorrow-my symptoms are getting worse and I feel awful. He is waiting for the results of my Vitamin D test before he prescribes any meds. My water rentention is through the roof today and one leg is really swollen. I don't want to have to take a break and lose my good momentum and strength I have built up with WATP.

I got in another 5 miles today. I did 4 Really Big Miles, and a mile on the treadmill along with my weight lifting routine. My workout ended up being an hour and 45 minutes. I'm pooped. lol

I hope you get it figured out. I've been dealing with swelling feet & legs too, and it's awful.

I was at WalMart today and there was a Leslie Sansone complete walking system that has weighted balls....you just add water. The dvd has three programs: Get Up and Get Started (1 mile), High Calorie Burn (2 miles) and Super Fat Burning (3 miles). It was priced at $13.72. I bought it but debating if I should open it. Has anyone tried any of those videos? Are they worth using?

I walked six miles yesterday and today and did Jillian Michaels "Shred" dvd for exercise.

I had those WATP- tapes before they are ok; if your just starting out with WATP; but i would deffinitly recomend the WATP- walk slim serie's these tapes are intense and are the best dvd's that she has ever made they include interval training; fast walking; really fast walking and light quick jogging!!!- Nic

OK; i just got back from water aerobics 1 hour; but we have a new teacher and she does not work us out as intense as a need to be worked; so i am off to do a hour of walking in the trails while listening to my ipod!!!

Melle happy B-day sweetie!!!

I agree that the beginning walking series set is pretty easy. I did them once, and never again. I like higher intensity.

I just got in another 6 miles today. I did the 5 mile dvd, and a mile on the treadmill that was jogging and incline walking.

I've got to get some walking done, TODAY! Why can't I be as good as you guys have been?

WATP

Hi All,

Ok, I'm in. I'm going to read the thread, figure out what I have to post and catch up with you guys. I've been walking outside daily. Just under 4 miles per day according to mapmywalk.com. I like the idea of doing this at home also, especially when it rains, or when I just don't feel like going out.

Well, I finally got one of the jobs I've been wanting. I start orientation class Monday morning. And, I can buy my WATP there and get a discount!

So, now that the stress of job hunting is over, and I can buy the newer DVD's at a discounted price, I have no excuse to keep me from getting back on track. I cannot wait! I haven't lost a pound in 2.5 weeks...haven't gained, but haven't lost.

I'm ready to start walking away those pounds, again.

Whew just completed the 3 Mile Super Fat Burning Intense and really butt kicking! I was sweatin up a storm after this one.

On the health front the doc has started me on thyroid meds and prescription Vit D and he says all my hormones are low and I may have a pituitary problem if these meds don't help. Keepin my fingers crossed they do.

I got in another four miles today. That brings me up to 24 miles for the week, so I met my goal and surpassed it by 4 miles. I have 54 miles down for the month, and 21 miles left to go to meet my monthly goal.
