This is an excellent idea. Everybody can learn from it.

Hi Sandra,

Thank you so much! I'm still doing 10/10, not yet ready for Super C, but I think the principle will be the same right? I definitely feel its too much to take the leg forward of the hip for now so I'll try what you suggested. Thanks again!

QUESTION:

I'm still working on 10/10.

When I have to cut the hour in half due to to fatigue or time, when I do the second half, do I do the warmups or just start where I left off?

Thank you dears!! Y'all are wonderful!

I would like some advice on putting together a list of songs with the appropriate pace to make a 30 or 45 minute list for my ipod for doing Callanetics. That was if I can't do the dvd's, I can still do them alone. I really like the relaxing type music, as I don't want to be pulsing away to something energetic and whip through it!

Has anyone else done this or have any recommendations on how to find the correct "beats per minute" for songs?

THANKS!

I think my form is getting a little better but like previously stated, which is a good thing, everything is pulling upward so Im a lil mushy in my hip/upper /inner thigh and lower abs. So soon everything should even out. My arms are tighter, my legs are very strong because I can feel the muscles and my inner thighs are toning up little by little. Still havent lost any sizes yet so Im hoping for that soon. I can do way more stretching then beofre. My body is just plain out stronger. I know if I stick with it and be patient things will sculpt quit nicely I did wear a pair of jeans that were hella tight last week when I tried them on. I wore then over the weekend, they were still tight but much more comfortable so something is starting to work...finally...

I think Callan explained in the book that you get much better results with warmups than without, so yes I think its better if you do them.

By the way I think you are awesome and inspiring to have come so far despite your health challanges. I myself suffer from reumatism and sometimes I ache so bad I just cant do the excersises even though I want to.

Vickylyn,

I agree with Lucky, that the warmups help to aid in flexibility for the stretching/strengthening that follows, so you would probably want to warm up each session.

That said, to cut the 10 in 10 in half, could you not try doing 50 reps of each segment, as opposed to 100, thereby cutting the overall time in half, and this would be less challenging and more doable perhaps for you.

Have you considered that?

Hi Mountain Girl,

I only do about 15-20 mins of 10/10 each day at the moment, just working through the program. So I only do the warmups about twice a week. But I do it at night before bed, might be different if I did it first thing in the morning. Having said that though, on Monday I did the program straight through as I was off work and although it was hard, I think I got a better result.

But I love Twyla's idea of doing a mini 10/10! I might try this. Didn't even think of it! And as the others have said, it is probably better to warm up each time.

one more hour of 10/10. I ate very poorly the last 4 days and overate and boy do I feel it - pooh! But I'm not going to get down on myself. My thighs are really tightening up and my hips are definitely higher. I'll be a better girl tomorrow.

I'm feeling the same as Wazo. My thighs are really starting to worry me (think 29 inches ). I just feel like they're getting bigger and bigger. Now they are for sure getting firmer and harder but they just won't get smaller. I think this is why I stopped last year. I've completed 16 sessions of 10-N-10 and I'm just about ready to throw in the towel.

ironicwoman I know what you mean, i've completed 14 hours of 10 in 10 and i can just wear one size up (i don't know how writing this, i gain one size) ! This is frustrating, i want to trust that it is normal, but i don't know if i could be so patient......because 14 hours....
We could be both patient ?

"Many individuals beginning an exercise program, especially if it includes weight training, will lose inches with no change on the scale. Since one pound of muscle takes up less space than one pound of fat, this reflects a gain in muscle that equals or exceeds the loss of fat. Keep in mind that a large gain in muscle may cause clothes to fit tighter and should not be misinterpreted as fat gain." Lyle McDonald

Wazo & Ironicwoman, don't give up. Give it time to allow your body to go full circle with the inner changes in your musculature.

Some people lose inches right away, and some gain inches BEFORE they begin to lose. But when they do, it seems to whoosh away.

Hang in there.

Hi Lucky!

Oh thank you!!
I don't own the book, but it's on my list to save up for. There is much information I am missing that is in the book, so I appreciate being ask my silly questions here, of all y'all! Thank you!

And thank you dear for the kind words. I am so sorry you suffer with pain and I pray you will feel relief. I understand not being able to do the exercises, but I applaud you for doing what you can within your limitations. KUTGW!!

I was thinking that, but didn't know how to do it logistically. I'm still a little confused, today I just started up where I left off this morning. Next time I'll try to go back and do the warm ups.

Color me dense, but if the DVD is doing 100 reps and such, won't it still be an hour long waiting for them to go through all the exercises even if I only do 50 reps? I mean the DVD program is an hour, from start to finish, even if I don't do as many as they do, right?

Maybe I'm just not understanding! (All those grey cells died with the chemo ya know! )

Thanks Twyla!
