1 hour Evolution done. It's a terrible rainy, windy day, and I LOVE that I got an intense muscle workout while still feeling so calm and relaxed!

SandraHanna - miss you and hope all is well with your mom and family!

DH caught me doing 10 in 10 yesterday (I usually do them while he's at work). I asked if he remembered them (from about 18 years ago!) and he said - sure! It's all about that peach, right!!!

Thank you Kamalam, I was just reading about Evolution and I like the fact that weights are included. I'll be ordering Evolution. I wish my 10/10 arrive I am sooo ready to begin. The book came today but no dvd. I guess, I can read the book in the mean time. *sighs*

No Callan this weekend, but plenty of yard work and house remodeling. Hope to get in Hour 14 tonight. Down to 195 this morning, which puts me at less than 1/2 from the 150# mark.

One more hour of 10/10 completed this morning. I am now up to 4x of Callan a week.

Today is my 3rd day of Atkins induction. It felt like I have ZERO energy to do the exercises, which made the routine tough. Does anybody have any experience with exercising/doing Callanetics while on induction? The first couple of days I felt great, but today feels a lot different. This is my first induction period, I just followed the general LC/Low GI WOE before. I realized, however, that I did consume a lot of fruits and vegetables, which probably did give me that carb push while exercising.

Does it get easier or do I need to brace myself to the two weeks of very low energy?

Hello,
this has been an interesting thread to read. I did my first hour of 10/10. Sure does humble a person! Here I thought I was in pretty good shape but boy was I wrong. The stomach is weak! And those leg exercises were hard but FANTASTIC! Wow!

Thanks for having this thread....back to lurking.

Your energy will get better. You are going thru what is called induction flu. Its normal and will get better.

Doesn't it!

This is the part most people don't "get" until they've done it .... just takes one time through though to convince them!

Written instructions?

Hello all!

Well, I'm new to this board and I'm really excited to be getting started with Callanetics. I can't quite afford the DVDs yet but I once saw some of the exercises written out on this board but I can't seem to find it anymore! Does anyone know where I can find the written instructions on the exercises?

Thanks!

Check the April Challenge....I'm thinking they were either there or on the March thread.

another hour completed and it seemed harder because I am sore from doing callanetics on Saturday. Took a week out of the gym and focused on doing callanetics so now its back to the gym tomorrow. I still plan to complete my May challege with a few extra on top.

Today is a rest day of Callan, but I did WATP. I decided to add some cardio. I'll take it slow to begin with, because I'm not fit and haven't done it in ages.

checking in...and a question

I got lazy and didn't exercise for a few days. Finally got back in the swing and did an hour of 10/10. That makes 4/10 for May.

Goofy question: Anybody amongst you all know why the side bends might cause my ribs to, ummm, squeak? I sound like an unoiled hinge when I do that stretch. It doesn't hurt or feel uncomfortable, just sounds awful! Any ideas???? Am I doing it wrong?

TIA,
-Di

Hi all my lovely LCFs

I want to say thank you all so much for all the thoughts and prayers that came through for my mum. Mum had a stroke and we were told she would have a max of 48 hours left, they didn't even think it worthwhile to take her to hospital. Amazingly by the time I arrived in UK my brother told me she was showing signs of improvement. Seriously, this seems like a miracle - the Doctors can't believe her recovery even though it's slight.

She is still very unwell and has limited speech but we thank God that she is still with us. I do believe in the power of prayer and I firmly believe that your prayers and thoughts made a difference - so I love you all for this thanks again.

It's great to see this thread is steaming along once again and I'm happy to be back with you. Right now though I'm off to do my first workout in two weeks so I'll be needing your prayers once again

Wow! I feel better already. I did the Lotte Berk method yesterday and this morning my muscles shook. I just finished Callanetics and I think my goal is just to get through the video. I could do that leg lift only about 10 times. 50!? I think I'm going to stick with this a while.

Jess, you do both Callanetics and Lotte Berk, how do you alternate them and what is your impression? Thank you!

Inch loss

Just wanted to ask - how many inches have you all lost? Especially on your hips? And especially without losing any weight?

I measured this morning after 5 hours. Here are my results:

Bust - UP! 0.5 inch (think this is water retention due to PMS but I'm not complaining!)

Waist - down 1 inch

Hips - down 0.5 inch

I'm so excited! Haven't lost any weight and should be bigger coz TOM is due next week Maybe hips would be even less if it wasn't for this.

So now am wondering how many inches I'll lose without losing any weight. Can't wait to find out!
