Hour 1 of 10/10 done
Hour 1 of Lotte Berk method done!

Wow! I feel better already. I did the Lotte Berk method yesterday and this morning my muscles shook. I just finished Callanetics and I think my goal is just to get through the video. I could do that leg lift only about 10 times. 50!? I think I'm going to stick with this a while.

Hello,

I'm so excited I found this website! I love callanetics! I'll start the May challenge today, my goal is to do 5 hours a week until I've done 100 hours

I just bought some of the books on ebay, the quick callanetics ones..anyone know if the books are any good?

Oh, and I use the Original Callan Pinckney VHS, anyone have a favorite callanetics vid? How many Callan Pinckney vids are there? Do the routine's vary much from vid to vid?

Good luck eveyone!

Hi everyone, I'm excited to have found you all. I have been reading the challenges and am very inspired to get started. I ordered 10/10 this past Thursday so as soon as it arrives I will be I also ordered 10/10 book from amazon. So I'm very excited to get started. Can someone recommend a follow-up dvd? Should I get Super or Evolution?

TIA

Did AM of AM/PM this am, with 2 kids jumping on my stomach, tickling my feet, and trying to do pony rides on my legs during hips and behind and open and close, so I think it counts as SuperC...

BTW, I love Callan and 10 in 10 to death, but what's with the super plastic, vaguely xanaxed out delivery in AM/PM? She just didn't seem like herself (at least her 10 in 10 self...).

Best comment from my 4 year old "Mommy this is boring...can we Elmocize instead?"

Happy, I ordered Evolution just to give myself a change of pace every now and then. I'll probably order some others in a few months. Reading the other Callanetics threads (for March and April) gives great ideas and tips!

i know what you mean. my favorite callan tape will always be 10 in 10; she is the most natural there, and i like the un-selfconscious, relaxed class format and all the different characters (that guy who groans at the end of the hips & behind!). all of the other tapes have a different feel to them, although i do like the results. and i began liking evolution when i finally got over callan's not being there at all -- sandra hanna's voice is very relaxing...

Interesting... I'm very curious to see Evolution and SuperC. I have Beginning, Am/PM, 10 in 10, and Quick Legs.

I do love the mix of assured grace and rawness in 10 in 10... it feels like it fits her tone in the book and her spirited life history. Hopefully SuperC will be more like that than Am/Pm. Whew, I may have to Ebay it, unless I can get past the stepford wife feel.

Yes, Mom (said in best "I know you're right" voice)

I did actually pick up a few form tips that weren't as clear in 10 in 10 and got to confront the Open and Close, which turned out less scary than I feared... except for pulling the chair over on my head the first time. Oops.

All hail Callan! All hail Leader! All hail Callan!

Today I did Pure Barre instead of Callanetics. I noticed I was much stronger in the workout than before Callanetics.

Did PM of Callanetics. So does the whole tape count as half a session of 10/10 ?

Did AM/PM Callanetics today. One of my most favorite exercises is the spine stretch, it is so relaxing. In 10/10 Callan says it's one of her favorites too and I notice there's a version of it in Evolution in the Final Stretches segment. I'm ready to watch a little TV now and go to bed for a restful night's sleep. Have a great week everyone.

Hmmm, I think the exercises are the same as in 10/10 except 2 legstretches and the plies are missing. Otherwise its the same, so I think it should count as a whole session of 10/10.
I think the only other difference is that the excercises are more mixed up and divides in 2 different segments.

Yeah, of course I mean you can add the legstreches and the plies to make it count as a full session....
