Aggggg! panic time!!!

Just recently found out that we could be going on holiday to Florida (first holiday for over 10 years!) anytime from October this year to February next year!

So i've got between 5 and 10 months to lose around 20 pounds and tone up my flabby body!

I've just spent the last 2 and a half months on an exercise kick-doing videos at last 5 days a week (i did nothing before) but it rally hasnt made any difference in my weight or inch loss.

Any hints or tips on how i can make my goal would really be welcomed!

Rasmus,

Your stats (under your name on the left side) are a little sparse. Start/current/goal? WOE? Location (not vital; just nice to know). This would help us evaluate.

Maybe give a sample menu and we could give some helpful feedback.

Regards,
Paul

Ok, updated.

Im not really on a diet as such (the "D" word makes my cravings go into overdrive)
The idea was to cut right back on junk food, cut down on portion sizes, drink more water and add more fruit and veg into it.
I try not to buy full fat vrsions of things (milk, yoghurt, etc) and rarely fry anything.

Exercise wise, ive gone from doing no exercise AT ALL to doing a dvd at least 5 days a week (ive got a few,WATP-3 and 5 miles, some turbo jam ones, charlie brookes, natalie cassidy, am/pm callanetics, shapely secrets,a couple of tae bo, possibly some others) i cant afford the gym but i will take advantage of the pools during this summer if someone could recomend how much i should be doing?

Sounds reasonable. I've taken a similar approach. I've never done "official" Atkins in that I've never measured my food. Cutting out the sugar really helped a lot.

This sounds like a bit much. Remember, in order to keep the weight off, you need to adopt a lifestyle that you can maintain for the rest of your life. Personally, I would get burnt out on the DVDs.

How about a DVD once or twice per week? Maybe get out and walk for 30 minutes on other days. Maybe throw in some bodyweight-only resistance training.

You also might consider the C25K program. 25 pounds is not so much that you can't do a little jogging.

What about finding a walking buddy to help keep you motivated?

These are just thoughts. Hope they help.

Regards,
Paul
