Suzan,

Callanetics Toning is a part of the Cardio Callanetics DVD sold on Amazon:
Amazon.com: CardioCallanetics: Sara Kooperman,Michael Huss:...Amazon.com: CardioCallanetics: Sara Kooperman,Michael Huss:...
The disc has 2 30-minute workouts: Cardio and Toning. The Toning part is like a mini-10/10 workout (although, there are some new moves there). I do that on my 'off' days, along with either the Cardio portion from the same disc or another DVD.

Finished my 23rd hour of 10 in 10 and have changes to report finally! I have a space between my legs between the knees and inner thighs-not so noticeable standing up but when doing stomach exercises it's very noticeable. The other change is my outer hips and thighs-they are firm and don't jiggle like the rest of my legs! So change is finally happening and I am soooo happy!

The stretch that really got me flexible and loosened me up was the one where you are sitting on the floor with your legs spread out in a V. I imagine then when your husband tries this he will not be able to get his legs very far apart and will need to have them bent. His back will be very rounded and he will be falling backwards. Am I right? That's how I started. So I would put my hands on the floor behind me to stop me falling back. Then I would gently push myself upright until I felt a really good stretch. No forcing or bouncing. I would just hold it and try to get my back straight. Within a few weeks I suddenly noticed I was sitting up straight without support and my legs were starting to straighten. Then I started to push my torso a little bit forward. I never gave up and I did it every day.

Below is a picture of me a couple of years ago in Death Valley. I love showing off my Callanetics flexibility

Hey Ben,
Great picture! Did you get that limber from starting the way you talked about? Your legs are almost a lowercase l!! I can't get mine very far apart, they are definitely in a V shape. I'll try what you did. I know I'm getting more limber because before Callanetics I would feel the stretch in my legs just a little below my knees, now I can reach the floor with the tips of my fingers, but nothing like your picture. You've given me hope.

Hi Everyone! Triple Charm I am glad to hear that 6 hrs and you're seeing change. I'm three hours in and feel like I'm not changing at all. I've been eating so horribly though . However, the other day someone came up to me and told me I was looking pretty thin! I haven't lost a pound! In fact, I think I've gained some weight if anything. That made me think, maybe there is something to this. Thanks for your response on the back pain Sandra!

I finished my 19th hour this weekend since March. So 9 hours this month, I am determined to make my goal of 12 hours for April. I did water aerobics today as well. Will do hour 20 tonight.

Another hour of Evolution done. This time was really tough on my hip/thigh area. I think I'm finally getting the form right on them. I can tell because they killed me tonite! I could barely do it, took lots of breathers.

I think it's amazing that you can do the same exercise over and over and suddenly get something new from it. Cool!

Definately. Beginning Callanetics is so gentle that I found it fine to do everyday. If you get tired or your muscles are aching then just take a day off.

Yes! I got that limber by starting out exactly as I said. It's all thanks to Callanetics. I was really stiff when I started out as I never really did much sport as a kid because I had constant knee problems. I try to sit like that when I'm not actually doing Callanetics too. If I'm watching TV or sitting in the park, I'll often sit like that just to increase my stretch and keep my legs flexible. It's become a very comfortable position for me now.

I知 sooooo intrigued . . .

I知 going to try Super tonight or tomorrow night depending on my time constraints.

How long is it taking those doing the Super to finish a session?

Does anyone know if doing Super once a week is enough to maintain what you already have? I would love to keep what I already have and work in other forms of exercise by cutting back on Callanetics if possible.

Sandra, you and your Mom are in my thoughts.

Snuckles, first few times thru for Super C, you'll need about 70 mins +. After you get used to the workout, you can fast forward through some of the pauses/talking to cut off some of that time. I also omit the Figure 8's and some of the hamstring stretching towards the end to try to pair it down to 60 mins.

IMO, you will need to do Callanetics -- of one form or the other -- twice a week, in addition with your other workouts, to maintain your level of flexibility, form, strength that this workout provides.

Hi everyone! Great to hear of all the successes.

10 hours of 10/10 completed. My abs and muffin tops are much better. Still need some work on the upper thighs- those are my tough areas. I will measure after 20 hours. I am praying those thighs are smaller.

Great pic PlanetBen!

Are the exercises in Beginning Callanetics the same as 10 in 10?

Also I have not been doing Callan as much as before. The past 2 weeks I have been doing it around 3x a week but boy it seems like its getting harder. When I was doing it 5x a week it seemed pretty simple. But now it seems like my muscles have to work 2x as harder when I do it less. Does anyone experiance this? Should I go back to 5x a week?

I think I was done in about an hour and 20 minutes. I was surprised it went that long. I am sooo sore today, the hip and thigh and ab exercises are brutal. It was so hard at a few spots I just took a breather, swore a couple times and laughed. I loved the challenge! I did a lot better than I thought I would. When my huband saw me doing a split at the end he was surprised. He is a true skeptic but I could tell he was impressed.

Hi everyone! I'm new to the board. Just dusted off my old callenetics 10/10 dvd last week and am now on hour 4 as of yesterday. I found the board this past weekend and it has really inspired me.

I have some pretty frustrating health issues that have effected my muscles and joints so I'm not able to do any cardio, but couldn't just let myself sit and waste away. It has definately been a challenge for me but yesterday as I completed hour 4 I found that I am now able to raise my hands above my head (something that is really hard for me to do) and I can tell I feel much stronger. I also didn't realize just how stiff my body is...I don't remember being this INflexible but I have been stagnant for a long time so I guess it makes sense.

Since I'm too lazy to measure I took pics yesterday before hour 4 and will take them again at 10 and then again at 20, so on and so on. Already I feel my ab muscles are tighter and I just feel better overall...more confident, noticing when I'm tensed up with normal activity, etc. I'll be joining the May challenge!

Just wanted to say hello HELLO!!!
