I know that i've lost inches all over because everyone keeps on saying how much i've lost, even my DH was "complaining" that i'm too skinny everywhere!! He has not seen me like this since 2004 after i had my daughter, i was in amazing shape then!

Thank you for your list of tips and ideas. I have printed them out and will use them during my next callan session. You are so generous with your time, it's really kind of you .

One hour of 10 in 10 today.

Siamese Girl - Pictures do mean more than numbers - you look awesome, no matter the number (still trying to throw away the scale myself).

Sandrahanna - Thanks so much for all your kind tips and responses. They are very helpful - I'm compiling them in a printable format. I do have one question that I keep forgetting to ask - in 10 in 10 pulses are done for all the stretches, including the lower back stretch. You no longer pulse during stretches in Evolution. Should I pulse or not?

Other day, I rushed to find something for an interview. I've been wearing the same jeans for almost half a year since I stopped fitting my slacks. Well I grabbed a pair of work slacks and pulled them on and rushed out the door not thinking about it till I got in the car and realized I wasn't cut in half. I actually got them on and buttoned without fanfare. I guess it must be Callanetics cause I'm doing everything else wrong. I took photos for myself, but I don't see difference, so I guess I will try on old clothes to check progress.

[quote]

This is exactly what I do since the scale says I weigh the same. I just pull out all those old clothes and try them on.

I asked these questions previously. Can nobody help me??

However, the thing I really dislike most about my body right now is that "back fat". What are the best excercises to target that?
And also, when doing the stretches for the legs, everyone in the tape can spread their legs what looks like almost 180 degrees, mine go maybe 90 degrees. When going over to the side, should I be going towards my legs or towards the floor on the outside of my leg since my legs are still relatively close together. I hope I am making sense.

Noreen-

Don't feel bad about the measurement flub. I looked up the Size Charts at JCrew - to see what sort of size loss 2 inches off the hips counts for, and going from a 37 to a 35 hips basically takes you from a size 6 pants to a size 2 pants.

WHAT COULD BE BETTER THAN THAT?

25 inch hips would look bad anyway.

Congrats on your 2 inch loss this month. I STILL WANT YOUR RESULTS! That's why I am following your example. I'm not measuring, but my clothes and photos will tell me the story (I am not a good measurer, and never believe my measurements anyway).

I love Callanetics. I feel so good when Im doing the exercises but I have not dropped one size yet and its a little frustrating. Sometimes I just want to give up. I can see results in my tummy area a little but my thighs are the same. I really dont know what to do. I am combining Callan with Cardio

Not an expert, (only have 5 1/2 hours under my belt ) but It look like the stretch where you put your hands on your hips and lift the other arm over should help with the back. She said in the video that it helps with that spot under the bra so that's what I thought she meant.

Also I can't spread my legs that far so I just aim for wherever my leg is and then try to reach further out angle wise to put more stretch in. I figure as my legs stretch my body should follow, right?

Hope that makes sense.

there was a lady at the store today who wanted vitamins to reduce her belly, I suggested she try Callanetics. She said she was going to go to Amazon and order her own copy

Thanks Metga. I thought the side stretch would work that area, but I guess I needed someone else to confirm it.

And the leg stretches...I've been doing the same thing as it sounds like you are.

I hadn't read where either of these had been addressed and again I guess I needed someone else to reassure me that I'm doing it right.

Again, Thanks!!!

Also good for the back, upper back specifically, is the one where you turn your wrists so the thumbs are pointing up and then bring them together in back of you, holding your arms as high up as you can while pulsing them together behind you.

Thanks again Metga. I tried looking for answers to either of the two questions I had and couldn't find.
Our dog is a rescue and I've spent the last 7 years making up for the first 3 years of his life. In other words, he is spoiled rotten.

EShirl, thanks for your reply. I wasn't sure if that one would effect the back or just the arms. My arms were so jiggly that I felt it so much on them, I couldn't tell about the back.

Completed my 13th hour of 10/10 tonight, and while walking the "wee beastie" (pictured on left) I noticed my thighs were not rubbing together. It seems like everyday, here lately, I've noticed something different.

Well, good night all!!

And again thanks for the responses!

Connie

its a bad sign when it takes me a looooonnnnnngggg time to finish Super-C. Every exercise takes 10 minute breathers after each one. Maybe I upsized to Super-C a little too soon. Its fricken HARD!

Does SuperC just give additional exercises to 10/10, or are they different movements all together?

dropping sizes

Hi Thycke-cutie;
I understand your frustration
I have noticed some changes;waist, hips ,stomach, legs;
however not in my saddlebags - which is the main reason I am doing all this ;
and no , I have not lost a size yet despite religiously doing callanetics for 5.5mths.

However I will keep doing it - as i have noticed more changes with callanetics than other exercises that i have done; and I still live in hope for saddlebags to be gone!!

So ; not everyone has big size reduction -
I was pretty strong and fit to start with and have worked the callanetics as well as I could - following all tips etc.

just so you know there are others in the same boat..
all the best
nola

Will try to complete one hour today, but I thisk I willl have to start a bit slowly, maybe start with doing 50 reps. Anyway great to see y´all!

Connie, the waist away segment is very good for targeting back fat. Try doubling up on those, number one.

Secondly, on the sitting leg stretches, rise up from your torso, stretching up toward the ceiling with top of your head, then bend at waist, keeping elbows out, dropping as far forward and toward your calves as you comfortably can. Pulse there gently, keeping elbows outstretched, then gently move toward the outside of your leg, and still bending/reaching from the WAIST, pulse outside of your leg.

Each time you do this segment, your flexibility should increase. Don't force anything, but concentrate on breathing naturally, bending from waist, elbows out, gentle pulses, aiming for a bit more flexibililty each time. Don't try to keep up with the counter. Do it gently and at your own pace.

There are other exercises you can do for your back that are not Callanetic exercises. PM me if you're interested. Here's one: Dumbbell Bent-over Row

Glad you're back, Lucky. Hope you begin feeling better and back to your best in no time at all.

More of the same, more reps, and also some additional ones not included in 10 in 10.

Hello everyone!

16 hours complete... I was planning to start Super C after 10 hours, but I think I'll wait. I don't want to start it too soon and besides I still can't do all the stomach reps from 10/10. I want to nail that one before I move on. I'm so OCD!
