What I have a slight issue with ,is, that when I do the pelvic rotations and the thrust's I get terrible cramp in my toes and they get all mixed up and I have to stop, this is really annoying as I really want to finish all the tape, has anybody got any idea's please.

ps That was posted yesterday, will have today off and aim for at least 15 hours this month
I exp'd this also when I first began Callanetics. When I began drinking more water daily (and I also now sip water all throughout Callanetics) and taking potassium supplement, those toe cramps went away for me.

PS. Sandra...you're 52????! Oh my god! I was talking with my partner last night and we placed you at about 37. So Callanetics has made you 15 years younger!!

Ditto on the ab Q's for me too, Sandra.

And most certainly ditto on the 52 years young!

I think it is. If you're able to, go for it! I tried to do it twice in one day, and it keeps my pants fitting better. So I imagine it'll work the same for you.

JayT, Soulwings is right. You can do it on consecutive days.

Back in my early days of Callanetics, one of our challengers did it regularly for five consecutive days, and I'm thinking she'd take weekends off. Of course, she was a seasoned Callan'er, but still. If you're up to it and your muscles can handle it, go for it.

But every time I do Callan I have trouble going to sleep at night. It doesnt bother me much because I am so well rested that I have no trouble getting up at 6:30 am. Just was wondering if anyone else experianced this burst of energy.
Yes! I did an hour of 10/10 and then Cardio Burn last night--finished about 9:00 p.m. And even after being up since 5:00 a.m. and working a full 12-hour day, I was wide awake--with energy! It was kind of annoying. Although, I was able to wake up at 5:00 again this morning with no problem. In fact, all I could think about this morning was that I wish I had woke up just 30 minutes earlier so that I could do a quick session of 10/10 before I go into work. I don't know...is that a sign of being hooked on this, or what??!?! [/font]

Um, can the bar exercises be done without the bar. I don't have tables or chairs, the sofa is only3 feet high at it's highest and the only other tall furniture are wobbly freestanding shelves. The kitchen counter seems too tall for the leg lift thing, plus I'd be kissing cabinet!

I can do the hamstring stretch on the sofa, since I'm not flexible yet, but the one where you sit and lift your bent leg, I just lean over for that one and try to sit as straight as possible. Am I missing out on the workout by not having a bar substitute.

This helped me too. Do you do it really tight or just slightly? because I cant hold it for long lol

Goodness, I can't keep up with this thread!!! I love it!

Thanks Sandra for the explanation of holding in the PF!!! That's helped me tremendously, just that explanation itself. Can't wait to put in my hour tonight using this method.

Sandra, I'm interested in additional ab exercises as well. I plan on posting progress pictures tonight and hopefully you can give me pointers. I've had 2 c-sections, one at 36 and the other at 38 and it shows, lol! I have 10/10 and waiting on the mailman to deliver Evolution & Advance.

Everal, any time For my bar I use a kitchen chair. I pad it when doing the leg exercises.

Marisha, I have to admit that I do smile when I read your posts; I think they are quite cute. If you ever feel that your post was overlooked or misunderstood, ask again, okay. This thread is moving soooo fast.

Freeing, I've been secretly waiting on those pictures! Amazing!!!

Metqa, I have never had a bar, and I was able to get very noticeable, amazing results with Callanetics (started with 10 in 10) in only six weeks. I've read on this thread where having a bar is more effective. That may be, but I've never had one and still am very impressed with the effectiveness of this workout.

Also, the newer Callanetics Evolution has adopted many of the leg exercises that 10 in 10 has, yet in Evolution, the women are not using a bar at all, but their form is a bit different as well. Point being, no bar, but still promises good results.

Just my observation.

Any adaptations for kneeling exercises in 10/10?

I've had some problems with my right knee in the past and I was wondering if there were any alternatives... especially for the thigh stretch and pelvis exercises. Can't seem to get in the position.

Any hints would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.
