FLUIDITY BAR for CALLANETICS ??

Fluidity: Fitness Evolved

Hi - does anyone have any knowledge/experience with these?

There's a zillion of them for sale on eBay + I found a local one for cheap on Craig's List.

What do you think about using this as the "ballet barre" for Callenetics ??

Thanks!
HB

Hummingbird, I think that'd be an excellent purchase.... I'd go for it if the price is right!

3/8hrs for April.

I can't believe how TIGHT my hamstrings are. When doing the floor leg stretches after the open/close exercise, I can open wide but can't bend forward ..... AT ALL!!!!! It's ridiculous! I used to be able to put my elbows/forearms to the mat... geez! I can't wait to gain my flexibility again.

TYWLA! I LOVE WHAT YOU WROTE IN YOUR JOURNAL ON 9/1/2006:

As for my workout schedule, it's something that I take very seriously.
I don't let anyone or anything stand in the way of my workout routine.

I am keeping this mantra in my head and I posted it up on my wall!

hi Hummingbird,

My advice? Save your money and use what you have in your house.

Here are some dissatisfied customers. Granted, most are upset with buying ti new from the company, but some post about the product itself and why it was not a good buy for them.

Fluidity Complaints

I decided to purchase Fluidity after watching the infomercial for months. I decided not to renew my gym membership and opted to buy somthing that I could pay off. Here is what I wish I knew before I bought it. 1. The DVD's are so similar you could start with the advance. They don't offer much variety. The ball and stretch band are used for 10 min in each video. They are a joke. More effective doing your own workout. 2. The workout could be done using a chair or leaning against your sofa. It is cumbersome to pull out and put away every day. The powdery voice of Michelle is annoying. 3. It is too heavy to return for a reasonable price. They did this so you won't return it.

I got another question for you, i'm perimenopause and i'm having problems with retaining fluid especially in my abs and around my ankles. Is this normal, i never had a problem with this, but after i reach my forties my body took on a whole difference turn like mood swing, retaining fluid, skip periods, hard in losing body fat, you name it. I wish i could have lost some of the fat before i enter perimenopause, because it's taking so much longer but i'm committed to callan. I do know that i'm getting progress, cause i have been getting compliments on how my body is changing.

Mev
I am in the same boat. I have swollen up 8 lbs in a day due to water retention from perimenopause. I am on a mild diuretic and find this helps tremendously. Hang in there!

Thanks MountainGirl! Hmmm. Wow that sure takes the spark out of it, huh? Sounds like it's not as easy to fold up & store as it looks in the video! Well if they email me back I will definitely have to check all of that out before/if I make an offer. Nice that I can try before I buy!

But I did Evolution today (1st time!) and didn't need any special equipment like I thought I would while doing 10/10 so I'll probably take your advice and skip it.

I now have 2 hours of Callanetics under my belt - WooHoo!

Hey WhaleFrozenToes - I am very curious how ya came by that name??

XO,
HB

Did my 9th hour of 10/10 April. This evening I'll be doing some Ashtanga for cardio and elongating. What is important is that I do feel and see the difference since I started!

Dani, I had a look at the Kripalu website, very very interesting. A complete concept and way of life rather than a set of specific asanas. Would like to learn more though. When you say you did 75 min, what type of sequence you did? Sorry about being as curious as a monkey, LOL, it's my curiosity that brought me here as well and boy, am I glad!

Happy workout everyone!

I have one, the whole system, have not used the program yet but would be good for callanetics - nice pc. of equipment-not junk.

I bought the whole system too and you are right - its too expensive to return I cannot comment on the program as its in plastic still collecting dust. I have heard people rave about it to tho.
