Just finished my 8th hour of 10/10 that makes 5 for the month of april. I am on vacation next week and I am going to try to reach my goal of 8 for the month. I also work out at the gym so I was only doing callanetics on the days I did not go b/c of work. I getting better at the abs being able to do 95% before my neck starts hurting. I am able to do my pelvic rotations all the way to the end. I seen alot with my hinnie end lifting up but of course I would like to see more improvement in my abs.

Finished up Hour 266 this morning. Wow, have I missed Callanetics...seems like it's been a long time, but it's only been since Tuesday. Long enuf. Plan on doing a session of Evo tomorrow.
. KJ....have you tried throwing in some extra ab work? Some people are doing that with their problem areas. It will happen. Be patient. ![]() |

<------Shhhhh......Reading the Callanetics Book at work that I just recieved. The photos are very helpful and lets you see how your form should look from the front and back angle. This book has helped me a lot and I only glanced at certain parts so far. I hope this makes a big difference and really helps me on those hip/behind exercises.

Just started Callanetics
Yesterday was the first time I did Callanetics and my body feels it today. I love to do an exercise and I can tell it was working the next day. I can actually feel my muscle feel a little stronger only after 1hr of 10 and 10.
I have lost about 50 lbs. but I need to tone up. I think this is going to do it for me. |

,I asked this same question awhile back and was told by Sandra Hanna, our resident instructor (who's also lead instructor on the Callanetics Evolution DVD) that it's fine to split the program up throughout the day, in fact she used to do that herself. She said to make the program work for you. When you get time start back at the beginning of this thread and also look at March's challenge. There are some really great tips and suggestions scattered throughout the threads here. Kathy |

Finished another hour of 10 in 10.
I bought 3 books that came this week - 10 in 10, Fit Forever and Calanetics Countdown. The Fit Forever book has photos of the CardioCallanetics, and the Countdown I haven't read yet, but by the photos I'm guessing this is Beginning Callanetics modifying toward 10 in 10, but with some additional stretches? I'll read more and find out. The photos are great; we are planning a trip this June - I wanted to have a book to bring to help me remember the exercises while away. I don't know if I'll get a full hour to exercise every day, even if I bring my dvd's with me. I'll probably have to split it up as best I can to fit it all in. Oh - the shipping was more expensive than all three books combined! I'm hoping by June I have a new(ish) body, somewhat resembling something peachy!

The Callanetics Countdown book is great. Actually that's what I'm using at the moment. Have just started Callanetics again after an almost 2 year break. So wanted to start easy! At the moment I'm just doing the behind and hips section (my worst bit!) and am going to add a new section each month. So after 3 months will be doing the whole program. In the past I've used this on holiday too. As you said, it's hard to fit in a whole hour of exercise when you're away so I used to just rotate and do one section per day. So basically you are doing the whole program twice a week. Anyway let us know how you find it! ![]() |

Michelle8 - I clearly remember when I saw changes! I had done it 3x a week for 4 weeks, so that is 12x. I measured and had lost 11.5 inches in all. You will see some good changes in about 10 - 12 hours. Then even more by hour 19!

Hello, ladies!
This is my first post on this board: just joined today and am already in love with it! This is so inspirational! I have given a birth to a baby boy, my third child, 8 months ago, and am trying to reclaim my body back from the effects of childbearing and birth. I am one of those unfortunate people who gain a TON during the pregnancy, and did gain the exact number of pounds with each one of my children, including the baby: 70 (!!!) I started back on the low carb/Michel Montignac WOE about 3 months ago, and have lost 27 lbs so far, with 28 more to go (the other 20 or so I lost right after birth). I have been hearing about Callanetics for ages, but never tried it before; although, there was a tape sitting in my cabinet somewhere all this time. At the beginning of this week, I finally got the DVDs of 10/10 and CardioC, and started working out. I also ordered a 10/10 book, but am still waiting to receive it. I am doing 10/10 every other day, 3x a week, with CardioC and Toning (from the same DVD) on the alternate days, 3x a week, with Sunday off. So far, I have completed 3 hours of 10/10, and I AM SEEING THE RESULTS! My butt is getting tighter, my thighs are getting more defined, but the most change happens in the stomach. The waist line is pulling in from the sides, and my stomach appears A LOT flatter. Although, all this pulling in makes the extra skin leftover from the baby appear even more pronounced, I am sure this will get much better with time, too. I have taken 'Before' pictures, and will share them with you, along with the 'After' pictures, but want to wait until at least my 10th or 15th hour of 10/10. I am planning on staying on this board for all the great tips and support that are being shared here. Nice to meet all of you! |
