Does anyone know if there is an age limit/restriction to Callanetics? My 6 year old dd watched (of all Callan videos) Super Callanetics with me and started to try to do some of the exercises. Obviously I would NOT have her do Super (I don't even do Super, I was just watching it to see what it's like) but she was very excited, she had the cutest sparkle in her eye. She sees magic already! She currently takes 2 dance/gymnastics classes per week. Maybe I could start her on some of the very basic stretches and exercises??

Sandra has this great picture on her website (hope she doesn't mind me posting it). I would say Callanetics is suitable for all ages.

This afternoon Matt came over & i went through the 1 hour program which took an hour and a bit! He loved it!

HappyLadi, great job! You shouldn't sell yourself short, either on results, or make concessions about your age! We are as young as we feel, and Callanetics is one sure way to not only make us LOOK younger, but feel younger! Thanks for sharing your progress with us!

Thanks everyone, I really appreciate your comments. My comment about my age...I'm a very "young" person, no physical health problems, extremely active. However, there seems to be this hormonal thing that catches you without your permission and does impact your body's response to things, such as exercise. If I had a little weight to lose in the past decades, watch what I ate for a week or two, walked a little each day, and Voila! It was gone just like that. Now it takes a concentrated, vigorous, consistant effort and is very, very s-l-o-w. It happens, just not with the speed of other decades. That being said, the rehabilatative results have been speedy and lasting, and I feel SO much better, I can be very patient for all the other benefits I know will come. Sandra, I'd be glad to share my photos, I plan on taking more in June. There'll really be some changes by then, I just know it! Oh yes, completed CardioCallanetics just now. Yumm.

Another hour completed. I am feeling good this week. Please tell me that I am not the only one breathing hard after the leg and pelvic exercises. I believe my form is improving because it really burned tonight and I worked up a sweat.

Great work, I will be 56 next month so I am in the same boat you are in, it will take us a bit longer I think.

I just completed my first hour!
I feel awesome in a shaky way! I'd forgotten just how well, lovely, Callan is!
I am aiming to do 2 - 3 hours of 10/10 per week. I did some measurements last night and after 10 sessions I'll re-measure (and maybe even post the results)!

The pelvic is butt too. I just really felt everything lastnight and that is a great thing. I am glad, because it means that something good is happening.
