Hi all, thanks for the helpful newbie info. I'm ordering Beginning Callenetics off of Amazon tomorrow, so I'll have to wait until Tuesday to try joining you all.

Mary M,

To answer you about the trampoline, I just jog in place, sometimes, do dancing like moves, while watching the TV or while cooking dinner.

I have just started again, so my endurance is very low. I did 10 minutes however. The trampoline makes all the difference as I think I am doing ok since I walk about 2.5 miles (per pedometer) daily at work, but realize how I need to keep bumping up the cardio when I get on that tramp.

Are Evolution and 10/10 newer Callenetic tapes?

Haven't been to her site in years.

I did an hour last night. I struggled last night and felt that my form was terrible, but I'm sore today. So, maybe it wasn't that bad. I also tried to do with the PF, but to me that is a lot of concentration. So, I did the original way.

Callanetics is the only form of exercise I'm doing at the moment and you guys just made me realize that I need to do some cardio too. I have some tae bo tapes from the days when I did it regularly and hope I can start doing that this week, but I'm lacking motivation.

I enjoy following everybody's progress and this does help me a lot.

I completed hour 8 today. I am seeing phenomenal results in my thighs!!! they are rock hard and getting a nice shape- also smoother. My hips/sides of waist are much smaller. I was going to measure but I can't find my measuring tape. Haven't lost a pound, why should I care?

I asked a question the other day and I think it got lost in all the excitement... for whoever has quick cal. stomach, do you recommend the DVD? What are the exercises? I need the most help in this area. Thanks!!

Pelvic Rotations

Anyway, thanks Benjamin for posting some shots from Evolutions! I'm going to purchase that tonight and begin incorporating it.
Hi,

The pelvic rotations create strong, shapely thighs. They also increase flexibility in the muscles that surround the pelvis which helps to relieve lower back pain and also create a beautiful fluid, light way of walking. Sway those hips

And there's more

They strengthen and tone the butt and lower abs as well as strengthen the pelvic floor muscles.

They are not the most favoured exercises of the program and it is tempting to skip them but they are effective in so many areas. Practising them regularly will help with all the other exercises. And, they do get easier as you gain more strength and control.

Hi,

CallaneticsEvolution is the latest DVD. 10/10 is Callan Pinckneys original '80's workout which has been reproduced on DVD.

Question re 2nd stomach exercise in 10/10

Hi all,

Hour 6 of 10/10 completed last night, 2nd hour for April.

I have a question regarding the 2nd stomach exercise in 10/10, the one where you have one leg raised in the air and the other foot on the floor, knee bent. Callan says that as you get stronger you can straighten your bent leg along the floor but not touching, but this is too tough for me.

Is there an intermediate step between knee bent, foot on the floor and leg extended out?

Am loving everyone's photos of their changes, they are really motivating me to carry on!

Hi Ben, maybe you could post more photos from callaneticsEvolution especially exercises for hips, behind and saddlebags because at this moment i can't afford to buy this dvd. and maybe you can describe them how to do it. I wanna slender my butt, hips and saddlebags very much, because my lower part of body is very big.

Then would be a good time to review the previous posts keeping in mind what you want to know. YOu'll probably find the answers will jump right out at you.

As with everything, you will learn and take on a bit more each time you work out. Only when you are ready will your questions come up and you'll be ready to learn more.

A big mistake with beginners is that they want to try too hard, putting too much energy into the exercises when it really isn't necessary. Most important thing - start exercising - the rest will follow when you're ready.

I think I would get in trouble if I posted more as I don't own the copyright! It really is worth saving for the DVD as you're not just buying a DVD, you're investing in a great body.

Hi Kiddiewinks

I am wondering what's going on,I feel non of the nice soreness that I have had in the past and have been really concentrating on my form, after 2 day;s in a row I would have expected a little tightness but nothing, also when I did the pelvic rotaions yesterday,I got a searing burning pain in my calf and front thigh,I had to stop at once, which was frustrating, any idea's about this would be great.

regards

Maria

It shows that bulk is getting bigger on my tummy and inside tights and if there were not for 'signs' such as hollow next to the knee and tight and lean muscle starting to show on the tight, I would almost think it is not working.

Sandra encouraged me to persist, so I will, the entire month. I will add moderate walking 30-60 minutes daily to the routine. It also would be nice if I lose weight but more importantly is to lose flab and get elongated...

OH YES: GALLERY IS POSTED AT:
Callanetics progression

Please give me your feedback!

Cheers,

Bianca

Nice progress pics My legs are slowly beginning to unglue as well, but it's only noticeable when I don't sit down. But in your pictures, your legs are already not together, while you sit! That's great! KUTGW

I've done about 25 hrs of Callanetics. Even though I know it works, I'm bored with it. Does anyone have any tips to keep it exciting?

Are the exercised in the AM/PM dvd the same as 10 in 10 but just broken up into 2 segments?

Also I found online a sheet that showed all the exercises in 10 in 10, basically like a little diagram. I think it helped me with the leg exercises because I did less then I did previously. The words are written in a foreign language but the photos helped a bit because they have arrows showing form.

Hey Soulwings!

I may i ask you WHY you are bored with Callanetics?? Are you just doing 10/10 and not Super Callanetics , or Callanetics Evolution???
I would suggest to try either one of those DVD's, they are not boring!!
Reasons to stay with Callanetics, as Tywla said BIG RESULTS!
A longer & leaner body.
A tight & toned STRONG BODY!
I could go on the reasons are endless.......

I totally agree. There are loads of Callanetics DVDs so if you get bored just swap to one of the others.

Ok, like previously posted this is not in english but does show diagrams of how you are supposed to do exercises. It helped me a little bit. If I knew the language I could translate the entire page but Im not sure which language it is.
