Hello Everyone,

I hope you don't mind me joining the thread. I've been lurking for sometime now, and had to buy 30 day shred based on everyones great successes and review. I have completed about 5 days of level one, and I have to say, that I also have a love/hate relationship with this DVD. It kicks my tail for those 20 minutes, but I do see results already - in my stamina, and the definition/feel of my arms and legs. I can actually say that I look forward to doing this workout.

Unfortunately I hadn't been faithful to my eating plan when I started the workout, and I didn't measure. However, I've recommitted to eating health AND exercising, so I will start logging my progress from today. I can't wait to share with you all.

Congrats to all of you on your successes! You are all a great motivation to me.

Also, happy birthday lovenuts !

From last month till 2days ago (2nd day of Shred) I have gained 0.5 inches everywhere and 2pounds gain.
But I don't want to give up. I change my plan and will do the Shred the coming month. I really wanna give my body a try and see if I can lose a simple inch with this workout.

Bless me

Just to let you guys know, I haven't gotten any "shreddin" in this week, busy, getting ready to leave on vacay.

I wanted to concentrate on intense ab work and complete UB today, and due for Callan again tomorrow, then we leave very early Thurs.

I'll be taking Shred with me, along with some of my other favorites. I work out practically every day while on vacay, so if it's too hot for the beach jog/power walk, I have backups. And weight training regardless. So I'm set.

Just wanted you to know I won't be posting here for about 10 more days or so....keep up the great work!

Does any of you do this workout daily?

I can only plan this workout max. 3 times a week. Will that be effective as well?

I only work out 3 x a week. I've noticed changes. Not as big as some others because I have a lot of weight to lose. I think you'll still see changes, just not as quickly as every day.

Welcome to all the new people! You'll love/hate this workout!

I love/hate this workout I have so much difficulties with the push ups. Even with my knees on the floor, i really have weak arms to push myself up

Does anybody here also do callanetics along with this workout?

yi lim: I've been doing Shred daily. I alternate between the 3 levels each day.

I agree. As Jillian says something to the effect of, 'your shoulders should be screaming' during that move. Well she's right - they do.

Now that I've done all three levels I'd have to say out of all of them, level 2 is my favourite. Mind you, the plank jacks, chair squats with the dumbells, and oblique twists are killers, but level 2 is still my fav level of the three.

Thanks, again, for the welcome everyone...

I've done shred # 1 for 4 days this week. I've also been very diligent with my WOE and have lost 8 pounds since Saturday.

I agree about the side lunges with the lifts. I have to pyramid down to 3# weights for those. Hope that's not cheating?

I'm also excited about starting level two. It looks kinda fun!
I'm going to finish this week (tomorrow and Saturday) with level #1, and move on to level #2 on Monday.
I'm only going to take Sundays off to rest.

We're all going to be so buff!

It certainly isn't cheating. When I first started doing Shred, I would keep both 3lb and 5lb weights handy and use the 3lb for the moves I couldn't use the 5lb weights for and then switch back to 5lbs for the moves I could handle with those. I'm so much stronger now and only use the 5lbs weights, (hoping to increase to 8lb or 10lb weights one of these days in the not too distant future like resident G.I. Jane, Watch-me-Shrink..hats off to her )

Those lunges are great and if you get your tush out enough while squatting you feel it there too, not only in the shoulders. The only workout I find not challenging on Level 1 is the ABS section, I can't wait to move to Level 2. And Goddess and Twyla are such an inspiration! Happy SHREDDING everyone

Right, those side lunges i can feel it in my arms.
I haven't tried #2 yet because I think I am not strong enough to handle #2 or 3 but will try after 2weeks of level 1

michelle8: callanetics did not really get me lost some inches but did reshape my calves a little bit. I really have those huge calves comparing to the rest of my legs. I hope i can reshape and slim down my legs esp my calves with this workout.
