I finished hour 5 of 10/10 today. Sooooo excited to be at the 1/2 way point of the 1st 10 hours. Yay!
HarleyGirl, congrats, I can only imagine how it must feel to be soooo close to the 10th hour. Paula, I don't follow any "diet" plan either. I more or less try to make reasonable & tasty choices and go with it. |

Just to be clear, you mean there are no days during the week that you can't find one continuous hour? Just curious. I can't find one continuous hour with my schedule unless I begin my workouts at 5:30 a.m. Quote:

Okay, I have a question . . . is there an exercise in the super, evolution or any of the other videos that target the underarm area near the breasts? I know in 10/10 there’s a stretch that targets the outer underarm area, but what about the inner area?
I have what I’ve affectionately called over the years a 3rd & 4th breast. I’m not sure when this occurred in my life but I have extra skin (?), maybe fat (?) that spills out into my under arm area. In certain tank tops it also spills out of the sides. When I stand straight and put my arms down to the side you see the curvature of where the breast ends (comes to the under arm) but then right next to that is this extra stuff (skin?) that makes it look like I have extra breast, then my underarm. Please don’t laugh I’m trying to explain this the best that I can. I’m only 10 – 15 lbs from my goal weight and don’t think this area will shape up with weight loss. Any thoughts or suggestions? |

Why did you say you won't be able to do the hour program? If you think you can't complete it because the exercises are too difficult, then don't worry! You do the entire program AT YOUR OWN PACE. If you do the exercises with the DVD, just follow the counter if you can, and have breathers when you need to. Swap to the next exercise following the DVD regardless how many pulses you manage to do - next time you will be able to do a lot more pulses, or twice as many! Count your pulses and do the same amount of pulses on both of your sides! In a very few hours you will be able to complete the entire program. If it is about time, you can choose to do Callanetics Countdown. You will need to buy the book for that or find a teacher who offers that package (10 YEARS YOUNGER IN 10 HOURS | PRIVATE CLASSES AVAILABLE). Callanetics Countdown is a 30 days program with a 20 minutes workout per day, however, you can choose to do it 6 days a week for 5 weeks or 5 days a week for 6 weeks. The more often you do it, the faster you will see results. The problem areas of the body are broken down into three broad units: 1. The stomach 2. The legs (including inner thighs) 3. The buttom, hips, an outer thighs The 20 minute program is based on doing the warm-up and one of these units. For example, suppose you want to flatten your stomach. Follow the 30 day program for the stomach, which includes the warm-up and the appropriate exercises and stretches. If you have time and wish to work on the second area you just need to add the appropriate exercises and stretches. You will do more repetitions of deep contractions every day. Your program will take longer with the added units, however, the stronger you get, the shorter the program will become. The exercise program is split to 4 phases: Phase 1: Day 1-4 Phase 2: Day 5-9 Phase 3: Day 10-16 Phase 4: Day 17-30 You will do more and more pulses every day and the exercises are modified in each phase. However, if you don't have an hour to exercise and still want to target your entire body, my advice is to do the hour program either only once a week, or twice a week but with less repetitions. For example where you would work up to 100 repetitions, work up to 75 only, and so on. You do not have to do Callanetics every day to get results. I encourage my student to do it twice a week. Only 2 hours a week? It is not actually that time consuming. I hope I could help! Agnes |

Hour 251. Done. So here's to working toward my next milestone, 300 hours of Super C.
If I total my hours with 10 in 10 with the hours completed of Super C, I already surpass the 300 mark. Callanetics has done more for my morale and self-confidence than anything I can think of. ![]() Today is Boot Camp TOM day. I.E., I start about 5-6 days before TOM with "BCT" in that I go down to 15-20 carbs, high fat, moderate protein, and do this until Day 1 of TOM -- this is to get into deep ketosis to fight TOM cravings. I can't do a lot of cardio during BCT, because cardio makes me hungry and that defeats the purpose, so I just do Callan, a bit of weights, and small cardio segments, 15-20 mins or so. It works if I start BCT on time, but if I don't start on time the cravings beat me to it and I struggle, struggle, struggle. So here's hoping I'm armed and ready for the S.O.B. |

Basically you will be able to tighten everything: the underarm, actually the entire arm, and the area between your arms and breasts. These areas will all tighten as one unit. I have discovered muscles between my arms and breasts that I never had before! Make sure when you are doing the underarm exercises: Lift your arms as high as possible and that will be the level where you start and will be pulsing. Try to get the thumbs to touch each other all the way long. Let gravity pull your shoulders down, try to relax your shoulders - and still keep the arms at that ULTIMATE HIGHEST LEVEL! An idea: Work up to 50 'up and down' pulses, then do 10 arm rolls (you just simply roll your entire arms with straightened elbows in as far as they go, and then out (one 'in and out' will count as one) - still holding your arms as high and as close to each other as possible, and then do another 50 pulses 'in and out' or 'up and down' if you can. Don't let your arms lower or get further away from each other, or your shoulders to pull up. Keep reminding yourself! Huh, that will be hard work! You can change the order of the exercises as long as you follow them with the appropriate stretches. I recommend you to follow the DVDs to make sure that you won't miss any stretches. As you may know Callanetics exercises isolate muscle groups to work on targeted areas of your body. It doesn't mean though that for example the stomach exercises work only on your stomach muscles. Most of the exercises stretch your spine and between your shoulder blades, and every time you curl your pelvis up it will tighten your thighs and bum, and strengthen your stomach as well. The hour program is designed to give you a complete body makeover. |

I can give some input and i hope i can be of some help. Here was my routine for a while and it worked GREAT, SO EFFECTIVE!! I would do 10/10 say Mon, Tues: 15 mins workout from the book 10/10(but for me it aways takes 25-30mins) Wed: Callanetics Evolution(1 hour) Thurs" 15 mins workout(book) Friday:10/10(1 hour) Sat:15 mins workout Sun: day off and start again Mon, keep in mind that i would rotate the days and mix it up a little, sometime i would throw in Super C(1 hour) or just the abs , hips and behind from Super C. Those are killers!! Find something that will work for you, Callanetics encourages that!! Oh, I started in May.2007 3x week and by the fall in went up to 6x a week and stayed that way until recently, i dropped a day or so. My body is responding very well to the change in the routine and i'm pulling in AGAIN. MY BUM IS MOVING UPWARDS!! Just when i thought it was high and round enough!!!

I need a dedicated space for me. I wonder if I can find room in my guest bedroom for my exercise bar? <musing outloud - sorry guys> Right now my dear fiancé is sleeping at, say, 5:00 a.m. when I could be hitting the DVD. My bedroom is where I am trying to workout right now. Hmm . . . |

Noreen,
When I was completing my training I recorded the sound from the 10/10 DVD with my dictaphone and was listening to it through headphones on the bus and tube, wherever I was going to learn the instructions. Agnes |

I never thought of that!!! I pretty much know 10/10 of by heart, I hear Callan saying tighten the behind THEN tip up!! Or Relax your body even more, etc. There are times i have brought the book to work with me & in my spare time will read though it. I think that lot of people don't know the value of reading 10/10 or any of her books for that matter. One can learn so much just from that alone. P.S. Thanks for tip! |

Looks like there's a bunch of us "online" right now. Callaneticsteacher, I'd actually thought about having dear husband make a bar for me using my window frame. I have a space just for me, smallish former bedroom, with two large windows, one is almost 3.5 ft wide. (Sorry, I don't know the centimeters that is.) I'd thought about getting a sturdy dowel, attaching brackets the size to accomodate the dowel to the window frame. Useful, plus I'd be stretching with the sun in my face!
Question: I've had serious knee/joint pain for years and after a couple of weeks, the pain absolutely vanished. I've been doing Callanetics since Feb 1. I've switched to SuperCallanetics instead of 10/10, plus I alternate CardioCallanetics and CallaneticsEvolution, and I've only missed 3 days since Feb 1. Am I doing too much? I'm afraid if I miss a day, the pain will return, so I'm highly motivated, as you can imagine. I have 10/10, the three Quicks, Super Callanetics and the two new DVDs. Can you suggest how I can use them to see best results? Time isn't an issue for me. Thanks so much. |

I told myself yesterday that i would not work out today, trying on a different change in routine 3-4x week instead of 6x a week. Well i get up this morning and my left bum feels like its going to fall off!! The right bum is sore but not as sore! So i decided to follow ClassicCallanetics and do Quick Callanetics for the abs and for the hips and behind. Now i think both of my cheeks are going to fall off!!
What a workout. I thought it would be a piece of cake, 20 mins is nothing for me!! Boy, was i wrong!! Excuse me while i limp off to shower*LOL* |
