The pics were taken after 3, 5, and 8 hours.

Sorry the pictures are so sloppy. I am still learning how to work my brand new camera and the mirror used is the one my daughters play with

My aim was to actually do it today. I began doing the warmups, then legs, and then my Mom stopped in unexpected, and obviously I had to stop, and the rest is history. That was my "carved-out" time to do the workout, and when she came, there was no window of time that I could fit it in uninterrupted later in the day. Bummer.

But. I did notice that doing the legs segment, it didn't seem quite as challenging as what I'm used to with Super C, but then the leg segment was as far as I got, and it's hard to judge. I didn't hold on to anything, kept arms ballet position the whole time, up on toes for added core stabilizing, etc.

I did notice yesterday while watching it through that there were some totally new segments (hip/pelvic thrusts) that I will want to begin including in addition to Super. So maybe when I get a chance to do it again on Tuesday morning, I'll have a chance to give it my full attention.

Bottom line, without having had a chance to do it all the way through, it seems on the surface to be about equal, challenge-wise, with 10 in 10, with a few add-on's and extra challenges here and there.
That sound great Twyla! Good luck to you doing this!
I myself is waiting for my Evolution DVD I ordered it las week and I have no idea how long its gonna take to get it...
Meanwhile I keep doing the AM/PM workout.
Session 18 completed today! I will post pics when I reach 20 and then maybe you guys can tell me if you see any difference.
Keep up the great work ladies and gent!

People, I've belonged to the Callanetics Challenge since November 2005. And I have never in all that time been more excited, more inspired, more addicted to not only Callanetics and the benefits to ME, but to what Callanetics has done for ALL OF US.

Just wanted to say, as Happi has pointed out, we have come so far and we are one great group of people, and I'm just proud to be a part of this group.....it's so cool!

I wanted to share some good news!

Yesterday I responded to ItsMyLife about my reaction to having watched Evolution, and having tried it, although I only got through two segments before I was interrupted and had to stop. At the time it did not feel as challenging as Super C, which is what I have been doing, and I was thinking it must be pretty similar in terms of difficulty/results as 10 in 10.

Well.......this morning I woke up out of bed, and my hips and inner thighs had DOMS! It had to be Evolution, because the only other exercise I did yesterday was an early morning walk with DH.

So I have to amend my review card. Am I allowed to do that?

As of March 30th, we have 62 "active" Callan Challengers.
There are a few still waiting for their DVD's to arrive
so they can begin their challenges.

Of those 62, there are some (4-6) who post very irregularly,
so we're hoping they'll know who they are
and will begin to post more to add to the inspiration.

Lisabinil, OMG!!! What results!!! That's freaking amazing! Only 5 hours difference in exercise, outstanding!!!

Thycke, you're too funny!!! You're going gang busters on the Callanetics! Awesome job. I too feel real sexy!!!

Twyla, you're spreading the Callan Great news that you're updating your review on Evolution, I was a little disappointed when I read your 1st review as I have a copy on the way. I guess, I'll keep it when it arrives.

JayTee, you know you cruising over there!!! Stomach, thighs, and backside slimming & toning up. You go!!

Happyladi, sounds like you're making progress there.

Connie, come on in!

I'm about to get off this computer and put in hour 13 of 10/10.

I have major DOMS as I started an upper body routine (Jari Love's - Get Ripped & Chiseled) to supplement Callanetics. I did this routine on Friday and Sunday I still have major DOMS.

I think I'm going to only do Callan twice a week so that I can get in other forms of exercise. My routine will look like this Callan (sun, wed), Upper Body (mon, thur), Turbo Jam (Tue, Fri). I want to be cut up by summer.

Nice to meet ya Snuckles. Have fun with your workout.

Well, to introduce myself:
I am 52 and 1 year and 40 lbs ago I quit smoking. For the last several months I have tried so many different workouts. I am happy I finally found something I can do and even better, enjoy doing. So far I have completed 3 hrs of 10/10 this past week. I am planning on doing 10/10 EOD and mix in Lotte Berk, the S Factor and EasyShaper in the in between days.
I was really skeptical about the results I was reading from Callanetics until I was backing out of our driveway after only the 2nd hour and realized I could look back without back or neck pain. I've also noticed other little things here and there. I'm standing straighter, I haven't been bothered by Carpal Tunnel as much, and best of all, my Fibro isn't nearly as bad.
I really hope there will be an April Challenge.
I am really looking forward to joining in the fun.

Connie

Hi Connie and . We're always glad to have more people, the more the merrier. I'm sure there will be an April Challenge, usually either Twyla or Noreen starts it, whoever gets to it first. I'm looking forward to reading about your progress too. Congratulations on quitting smoking.

Connie, .....it's official. You're in. Your name has been added to the list. 63 Challengers, and going strong! Glad to know C'tics has helped those carpal and fibro issues....that alone is worth the time you've put into it, no?

SNUCKLES , glad you've got some DOMS goin' on for the upper body....don't you just love it!

Speaking of DOMS.....

I just want to make it very clear. EVOLUTION apparently worked my muscles in a different way, deeper, whatever, because my DOMS I mentioned earlier this morning have become more noticeable as the morning hours have passed. I'm gonna think about doing Super twice a week, Evolution once, then cardio and upper body weights the rest of the time.

Twyla,
I just checked the glossery and couldn't find it, what does DOMS stand for?

Thanks for posting your second review of Evolution. It was working me, but then so does 10/10, I'm not even up to full reps yet. I'm glad to know I will keep progressing with that one too.

Kathy, sorry.

DOMS = Delayed onset of muscle soreness

(Usu happens hours, or the next day, after a challenging workout)

We should all know what THAT'S about, right!

That was from 3/10 to 3/29 with no weight loss. I am carb cycling and have incorporated protein shakes into my WOE which has helped immensely with my water retention and bloating issues.

Completed 16th hr this morning. Something I noticed today is that I now subconciously engage the pelvic floor without thinking about it first in most of the exercises. I have also found out that I need to switch the pelvic exercises before the hip/behind in order to be able to do them. The hip/behind exercises really tire me out. Marsha has really kept me on track this last month-when I took the before pics at 10 hrs I was gonna give up and was devastated that I could notice no change but she kept me going. She kept reminding me I had to adjust some exercises for my Fibro and it would just take time. Thanks Marsha!

I'm baaaaaaaaack...

I have no idea how long it's been since I was a member of this challenge.... Life happens, then more life, then even more life...

I have all the tapes but haven't used them in ages... A couple days ago, I decided it was time, that maybe this, plus my 'S', plus treadmill, Turbo Jam, my Beach Body arms, and maybe if I get brave, the rest of the BB body parts..., and whatever else I have, will help me win the battle of the weight that has attached itself to me because of what I've been told for a few years is juts hypothyroidism, but turns out to be Hashimoto's and finding out I have PCOS.. I knew I was messed up, but I thought the main thing was just super screwed up hormones... See what happens when you find a Dr that listens to you, and is wiling to actually help you!

OK, so anyway.. I will do my first hour today.. Mondays are out, as far as any structured workouts go. That is my day at the soup kitchen, and I am on my feet and walking for hours, so that will be Mondays..

Wow, everyone's pictures are so encouraging! WTG ladies!! I wish I had thought to take pictures before I started.

I did hour 4 on Friday and hour 5 last night. One more to go to make my 6 hr goal. I also did 3 miles on the treadmill both days. I'm sore all over today and was going to take the day off from excercise, but after seeing the pictures I think I'll go for another hour of 10/10. I'm so happy to have found these boards, they really are keeping me going and I'm hopeful that this could be just what I needed to help me finally finish what I started. :hoping/hoping:
