I was thinking of getting quick callanetics legs because that is my worst part of my body. My thighs will not slim down for anything thats why Im giving callanetics a chance. Does anyone have this dvd? I dont want to spend my money if they are the same leg/behind execises in 10 in 10 and super callanetics. So far out of 7hrs I see small changes in my waist area, not in my thighs as of yet. I havent started super callanetics yet. I just ordered it just to have it. It know its way to early to start

TCutie,

You had mentioned that you had been slacking off on your eating. I just wanted to point out to you -- in a helpful way -- that our way of eating combined with our dedication to the workout will give us our best, quickest results. Are you tracking your food every day? It's so easy to lose track of cals and carbs when we don't track. I know it's somewhat anal, but journaling our food intake is so key. Just a thought.

I don't have the Quick Q's, but maybe someone can elaborate on that for you.

Yes I have been slacking off a few days last week but Now I am back on track and even before those bad couple of days I was still eating sensible. Im not on a low carb diet but I am watching what I eat. My menu consists of a healthy cereal for breakfast, a yogurt of fruit for snack, smartones or lean cuisne for lunch, yogurt, carrots, or granola bar for snack and then a sensible dinner. I dont eat alot. I can remember what I eat every single day but my weight just wont move. I want to reshape my body so bad. I work out m-f with weekends off but will do callanetics on the weekends and thru out the week since I started last friday. I just want all my effort to pay off and to show. Its so aggrivating

You may want to consider keeping your higher glycemic carbs closer to your workout times, and then eat mostly fibrous the rest of the day, cutting out all carbs 3 hours before bed.

Targeting carbs close to workouts can be very effective for fat burning.

Might want to try that too. Best of luck to you.

I am having a heck of a time getting this thing downloaded! After you get the video loaded, it says you have to load real player and then in order for real player you have to have quick time. And I can't seem to get the quick time downloaded properly! But I am still trying!

I'm not sure what's with your quicktime and such. Hubby's dad is a computer tech and he built our computer so everything came pre-installed.

I love Tae Bo. Dont get me wrong. Its very intense though, but I prefer Turbo jam because its intense and fun but the moves arent as hard as Tae Bo, IMO, and you dont have to do so many reps. Plus the music is bangin!!! That gets you soo motivated and gets me thru the work out

I dont do Turbo Jam and Callanetics back to back. I work out before work with Turbo Jam or a weight video(Hi Def Sculpt) and then in the evening after work I do an hour of Callanetics. Callanetics makes me feel soo good and rested. It doesnt feel like a workout to me, I guess thats why I dont mind doing both in one day.

Do you find it better to combine Callanetics with another type of excercise or will doing Callanetics alone be sufficient?

Its according to what you want to accomplish Glenfynnan. Some do just the Callan and others combine it with cardio and weights.

I do Turbo Jam, Callanetics, elliptical , and about to start 10 minute trainer. I have been doing the weight resistance in Power 90 as well. I am trying to mix it up to keep my body guessing.

1 hr callanetics even though was my night off but I didnt feel good last night and didnt think i gave it my all. Did about 30 mins of cardio tonight as well.

Hi all! Just got through doing 1 hr of Callan...I was off for Spring Break last week and my goal, that I posted was to do at least 4 hours of Callan. Well, I only did two hours and I hiked about 3.5 miles. So, I did an hour and walked 1.5 miles yesterday and did 1 hr today, so that gives me 5 full hours now. Does anyones upper thighs go numb???? Im guessing it is because of so much focus on the muscle. I can see some slight changes in my body...things look a little tighter. I have a pair of jeans that are going to be my first goal jeans...haven't been able to wear them in 2 years...I put them on a week ago, and I can almost button them and be okay, but still a little snug in the rear...I have a J. Lo booty! HA! Anyways...plan on doing at least 2 more hours of Callan before the weekend. I have a big NASCAR trip planned for weekend after next and I want to wear my jeans!!!!! I'll keep you guys posted...this board is so motivational, just have been busy and haven't posted in a week or so.

I walked 2 miles with my son after work. It was cold and windy! My bones feel cold right now. I think I'm gonna get my kitchen cleaned up, pack lunches and take a hot bath. Callanetics tomorrow night!

I don't have any tips because I'm new at this too. I do know I can barely lift my left leg/foot, but do quite well with my right. I guess that's my stronger side.

ThyckeCutie, didn't see if any one had answered your question about Quick Legs or not. It takes about 20 minutes, starts with one of the warm-up, then does the on the toes, pelvic wave up and down 3 times X 3. Next the up-on-toes, knees out to side, and up and down 10 X. Next the standing stretches with heel on the bar, the open and close(you know, knees to chest, then lift them as high (ha!!) as you can and move your legs open and close. Last the inner thigh squeeze with your instep on either side of chair legs. Of yes, somewhere in there are the hateful pelvic scoops and pelvic rotations. All of the Quicks have move exercises than what's included in 10/10, but not as many as SuperCallanetics. I think the Quicks are very good if you're short on time, need extra work on a particular body part or for something meaner than 10/10, but not quiet the intensity of SuperCallanetics, I sometimes do all of them back-to-back for a really nice and thorough 1-hr program. HTH. Forgot to add, did 1 hour 10/10 tonight, hour 17 for it, total 42 hours.

I have super callanetics but didint try it yet. I think its way to early and it looks so hard. I did notice that they have a lot more leg exercises and also notice that she just goes from exercise to exercise before you can get in position. I guess you have to watch the intro over and over until you get the form right. Super Callan is going to be tough
