Ok, well I can offer my experience so far...

I am getting ready to do my 11th hour now and the cellulite on my inner thighs is disappearing already. Also, I had a c-section and my "flap" is tightening up and getting smaller if that makes sense??
I used to have a flap that extended from hip to hip and now the flap is just "flapping" over my pubic area
My cellulite from my outer thighs and back thighs is gone as well!
I am looking forward to seeing after a whole month how many changes I have!!1

As far as cellulite goes...I really think that it's both a clean diet and w/o's that gets rid of cellutlite. Some cellulite won't leave until you lose that last fat...... Cellulite WILL LEAVE w/ a clean diet and consistent exercise! Look at before and afters of people who've worked out and lost weight. They had cellulite/lumpiness then it was gone. We can get rid of it too!
Amen.

I had less visible cellulite on my thighs after working out with Callanetics. It is very effective for smoothing, when combined with a good, clean, fat-burning WOE.

Just done an hour of 10/10. When I did my class with Agnes, the Callanetics Teacher, she mentioned that when I do the Waist Away stretch I should keep my arm as straight as possible when reaching over. She also said I should keep my arm as close as possible to my ear. I just did this and found that it really works the top of the arm. I never felt that before. Who'd have thought that moving your arm closer to your ear would make such a huge difference to your upper arm muscles.

Someone mentioned about this picture of Callan and wondered how she got such good upper body strength. I'm starting to learn that the more you correct your form then the stronger your upper body and arms become. My arms are aching now after the Waist Away stretch thanks to the correction from Agnes. I can also feel that all the stomach exercises actually work the arms and the chest too. Maybe that's why Callan never included any exercises specifically for the upper body as she knew that the other exercises worked the upper body indirectly.
I'm really proud of my Callanetics butt and legs and now I'm concentrating on my upper body. I'm finding all this really interesting.

Agnes said she is getting some of those hanging bars for her studio. I can't wait to try this!

That's the link to Judy's website, I was curious to see her story and what they charge...for less than the cost of 1 class in Oregon you can have 3X weekly classes for a month in Cape Town! (Getting from Oregon to South Africa is probably pretty pricey though...)

I am still really feeling yesterday's session, so I'm taking the day off.

Wow Thats great I hope I see good results like that. And this is within one month? I have cellulite on my outer and inner thighs and I cant wait to loose it!! My c section belly too. Working out has helped alot but this lower pudge will not go away!! My doctor always told me that women with c sections will never have wash board abs. I wonder if Callanetics will prove him wrong??

Yup, that's the picture. She is amazing!! Thanks for the tips Benjamin. I see that in the book that arm over side is varied in that the participants and Callan herself has the opposite arm, that is not being lifted, resting on her thigh. I see that Zinny also mentioned she used the bar for holding.
Thanks, again.

Hour 2 of Evolution done! Whew, what a burn.

I'm considering driving to a town outside of Dallas (2 1/2 - 3 hour drive) for a private lesson. I wonder if it's worth the gas and the $75 for the lesson. Any thoughts?

Hi everyone!

I have been very motivated by this thread! I received my 10 in 10 DVD today and will start using it tonight! I have it on Video and used it a few years ago but wasn't serious then. For the past few weeks, I have been working out to the Bar Method and Squeeze... but I have a feeling that Callan will be the toughest and I'll get even better results! I am going on vacation in 6 days and plan to bring the DVD with me!!!!

Hi Zinny,

Please be careful with Cardio Callanetics if your hips hurt. If you experience muscle burn, there is nothing wrong with that. However, if you experience shooting pain around your joints, you should stop and deal with the problem (go to your doctor if neccessary). You might want to practise at least 10 hours of traditional Callanetics and then swap to the Cardio. I have a lady coming to my classes who is trying to avoid a hip replacement operation. The smooth, no impact Callanetics exercises cure joint problems.

However, you might just have to double check on your positions and do Cardio on the beginner's level, and as your hips get stronger you can intensify the movements following the more advanced positions.

grrrr...
Hi,
When you tip your pelvis up in the hips and bum positions, it will naturally bring your knee a bit forward, don't try to force it back, and you will be able to relax you knees. The hips and bum exercises work on the legs as well, but you only should feel it in the back and on the outer thigh. If you feel muscle burn on your front thigh, you are not rolling your hips forward enough.
I usually try to make my students think that they have "no legs" from knee down. Try it, you will feel more burning at the right places!

I thinkits well worth the money, the teachers can correct anything you may or may not be doing right/wrong.

Zinny,
when you are doing the waist away stretch, make sure that your hips remain in the center. If you allow your hip lift up when stretching up and over, you will lose the isolation.

I did the 15 min workout from the book, plus i followed different streches for my back, thighs.
I learnt something new today about the lower back strech. That when you bring your leg over to the over side you can do the pelvic wave and it increases your strech even more, i tried it and it felt great!! If you do this make sure to work in triple slow motion, don't rush.

30 mins of Callanetics done.

when you are doing the waist away stretch, make sure that your hips remain in the center. If you allow your hip to lift up, or to slip out to the side when stretching up and over, you will lose the isolation.
Also, you can add one of the Evolution stomach exercises into your traditional routine, the arm-swing one (sitting with knees bent, curling up and swinging the arms next to your body one at a time) reduces the waist line.

Earlier i was online and checking out flight to Portland,Or in July! Then i realized that there is a teacher B.C.......a little bit closer, 4-5 hour flight. Judy once mentioned that she is training someone in Toronto, but it does not come up anywhere on the callanetics.com website.

Judy told me that she has students visiting her classes from 200-400 miles away. They normally stay for a while doing as many classes as many possible. Wow!
